Actually I can't understand why many ppl would hate the idea of having Gundam inspired weapons in Macross. One of Kawamori's inspirations for the first Macross series was (among others) Gundam (hell, he even was in a Gundam fan club). Gundam is Real Robot genre just like Macross. Melee combat weaponry is not a bad idea, specially if u are dealing with creatures like the Vajra. They remind me a lot of the enemies from Genesis Climber Mospeada. They're like Inibit on crack... The human mecha from that show had melee weapons... Like the VR-041H Brough Superior. Maybe S.M.S./N.U.N.S. technicians could develop better close combat weapons against the Vajra. A beam/plasma saber attached to the shield would be pretty neat. Also weaponry specifically designed for macronized Pixie squad members would be very very useful...

I just hope they don't go Cold Turkey on us and deny us next episode...

Indeed... By now, this should be considered canon... U didn't watch the original Macross or what?

Redeem? AFAIK Macross 7 was quite the success in Japan... U mean this ship? So the nest was in a N.U.N.S. Carrier... Interesting... The plot thickens...

Can someone please explain me this? I just read it in the Macross Compendium episode 10 preview summary: "*Notes* - There will be a one-week break after this episode..." ¿?

Wow... Excellent episode!!! So Grace O'Connor was spying the New United Nations Goverment/Spacy meeting... Wonder what her agenda is? The VF-27 has both the Galaxy and NUNS logos on it... And the voice talking to Brera sounded a lot like Grace's (who happens to come from Galaxy)... Some conspiracy there... Brera seems to be a baddie... He started attacking Klan trying to kill her so she wouldn't tell about the derelict and the eggs... (He works for Weyland-Yutani!!! Hehehehe). He seems to be skilled, but I believe that it may be because of the VF-27 capabilities above all (he also is overconfident). Even Klan could get a shot at him despite having a less advanced mecha... And yes... the thing inside the egg in the derelict looked a lot like the little pet Brera had... (Maybe the Large Red Vajra's are born that way...). I believe that Ranka choose the appearance of her cellphone based on a memory of those creatures from her childhood... Next episode is gonna rock... According to what was said in the news thread

By what I've seen up to this episode so far, I believe that Brera Sterne is an agent of Leon's N.U.N.S. faction (the true bad guys), but he will end up changing sides by the end of the series... Hehehe, always do... Specially if something peculiar enough catches my attention... Check out the things I found in the original Macross Series... A Zentradi bathroom... And somehing else... (I should be a sniper, hahaha...)

Is Vrlitwhai Kridanik... He was appointed Commader of the UN Spacy in 2016 like it was said before. His Nupetiet Vergnitz Command Ship was lost with the Megaroad 01 in 2016 near the center of the galaxy. However, he wasn't in command of the ship at the time (lucky him!). Too bad... it was a nice ship!!! I found another reason to ban macronization... Macronized Zentradi organic waste disposal costs... (as seen in the original Macross... Chapter 11 - Aired 12/19/1982)

And what about Destroids?

I based my assumptions in the fact that Brera appears just after Leon orders his contact to keep an eye on Ranka. Btw... did anybody noticed that some of the video seen by Leon was taken inside the Vajra Carrier? Who took that footage?

The Revoltech REGULT is excellent!!! My only complaint is that they only added a Heavy Missile accesory. They should have added the Light Missile Launchers too...
