  1. Blackconvoy, you MUST watch Gundam UC and experience it's greatness. Back to Robotech though, it looks like Memo has put up the video from AOD in SF though I haven't watched it yet. He also clarified his comment about LLA being completed this year and then SR starting production immediately after. Looks like that comment was supposedly made by Tommy at an after party and NOT during the panel. If it wasn't said at the panel it can't be true. I'm actually surprised Memo didn't just lie and say Tommy made this comment during the panel but the camera was off.
  2. Blackconvoy, that's kind of the beauty of being a Macross fan. You don't have to like every iteration of Macross to be a fan as long as you accept them for what they are. This unlike Robotech where you're banned from the site and shunned from the fanbase for not like liking SC or, heaven forbid HG. I'm sure this practice will continue when people complain about LLA after release.
  3. It totally would have been better received with a title change as all we'd have to go on about the project would be the clips people smuggled onto the internet. The "loyal" fans wouldn't even be thinking they'd be recycling an old OVA despite us "unloyal" fans saying it's impossible for HG to make a "full length" feature (whatever that means) without using old footage. Using an existing title just makes most fans think this is a half-assed production lacking any originality.
  4. only if my overwhelming demand for it counts.
  5. I think you're talking about the whole "hiatus" debacle Kevin started. He thought he stated some of the animation was completed as they were still working on the story at the time. Since then, it's changed to the general line of SR being in "active development" and that it hasn't been greenlit for production which makes one think no animation has been completed. Thus, no one, including HG seems to know the status of SR. I'd doubt we see SR in 2014 anyway. More likely, since Tommy is stating that LLA will be completed this year, LLA will be released in 2014 and if we're lucky, we'll get a preview clip for SR in 2015 with a release in 2016 or 2017 - though they'll probably go the limited theatrical release route again to say it did gangbusters in theaters. Also, they still have to get distributors which takes them forever - almost as long as the actual project's production.
  6. According to an update from robotechx, looks like Shadow Rising is finally going into production after LLA is completed this year. Of course, still no actual release date on LLA but I'm wondering if the LAM has also been greenlit since SR was being held back pending the LAM release.
  7. I actually wanted those last 3 deluxes to be complete which is why it's bad news. I refuse to pay $40 for an imported deluxe. This on top of canceling the First Edition Prime toys. Also not too pleased witht the new FOX toys but I'll get them anyway.
  8. thanks for the link eriku. i really wonder how Toynami is surviving with so little product actually released every year.
  9. I don't really mind the misinterpretation but I do wish they'd use a darker shade of blue.
  10. Just received Macross Ultimate Frontier for my PSP and was customizing my VF-1A to be close to this paint scheme and then I look here and it's gonna be released! Needless to say, I will have one! (Especially now that Hasbro just cancelled the final figures from the Transformers DOTM)
  11. Does Toynami even have a presence at the New York Toy Fair this weekend? I've seen tons of reports online but nothing about Robotech, Macross or Toynami in general.
  12. Looks like we in the States just got some bad news: Hasbro has canceled DOTM Leadfoot, Que, Soundwave and HA Soundwave. http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/transformers-movie-toys--products-30/dark-of-the-moon-human-alliance-soundwave--deluxe-leadfoot-wheeljack-and-soundwave-cancelled-174383/ Guess I got more money for Macross toys now.
  13. Isn't Shadow Chronicles the Mospeada sequel? Great pics Yui but were are these pieces from?
  14. I think Grimlock is inevitable especially with 40 new figs next year. I'm just hoping for all the Dinobots and Insecticons to be produced and also hoping none these guys get short production runs or canceled in the states like Hasbro been doing on occasion the past few years.
  15. Well, you get the short version, full version, instrumental version and George Sullivan version at the very least.
  16. It really makes you wonder what they've been doing all this time since they announce the 25th Anniversary Soundtrack. Afterall, we already know Steve had fans emailing him "rare" tracks that HG (somehow) couldn't get themselves. This is really unbelievable though.
  17. Looks like Steve Yun is trying to earn his paycheck finally. http://www.robotech.com/community/forum/read.php?id=2136652&forumid=23&pagenumber=4#post They're working on an EP release of "It's You". I guess making the now super late 25th Anniversary Soundtrack is proving too difficult for them so they're just gonna do singles instead. I guess the profit margin is better this way.
  18. Regarding the Cheetara's, the ebay prices have stabilized to a little above retail shipped. Still, easy to find at my local Walmarts - peg-warming in fact. I don't think the updated version toyline is doing that well though I know the new Classic line appears to be selling well.
  19. Wow, that's great news even though I'm not liking the show enough to buy it on imported Blu-Ray. Hopefully, it's a trend Bandai Visual continues...
  20. At that price Archer, I'd say buy it right now assuming it's real! I've never bought from that site though and it's really cheap so maybe it's a fake?
  21. Darkwater, you should post that on robotech.com. I'm sure that would bring about an interesting discussion.
  22. Truly awesome work! It makes me wanna watch Mospeada...
  23. Not according to Tommy Yune or Kevin McKeever. According to them the Officer's Battlepod is the piece slated for release though I'm sure we won't see it for awhile. They always blame the weak economy for production delays and don't forget the boat that is always stuck at port for months before leaving. Hopefully we'll get it in time for the 30th anniversary.
