    I'm kinda in flux right now. I'm not happy with the entire presentation. I need to put some more lights and white backing in one cab (black right now). Lights in a Detolf. A few shelves (Macross Zero) are a bit bare because I left room for three VF-0D's. And I have a VF-0S with Armor to unbox. The Plus shelves are a little weenie. One more YF-19 for Gerwalk to go there and hopefully some Bandai DX 21's. Come to think of it I think I have 8-9 valks to un-box still. And 4-5 Primes. First world problems I suppose. I've got a box full of YetiStands to set up too. I'm getting tired just thinking about it! I've been slammed trying to get my new web site done. I'd rather have a sharp stick in the eye.

    Got Max in the other day. Man, I LOVED Max when I was a kid. I think I've seen The Black Hole almost as much as Star Wars. Had to get this guy. I would rather have something that cost more money (even a lot more money) and get a higher end toy. But this works. It was only something like $30. Can't complain about that.

    Good news is that the parts have a bit of a texture. I'll rough any smooth spots up though. I don't know once disassembled if anything needs to be taped yet. Good heads up on that Tamiya tape. You're correct. I'd be bummed out of anything bled. Thanks! Excellent. Thank you.

    They're have that black oxide coating. Once that oil comes off they start to corrode pretty fast. Probably not a big deal in a display cabinet. Maybe. Absolutely a big deal anywhere near the elements. They rust almost immediately.

    I was going to switch over to stainless steel at some point. Duller finish than zinc so less likely to drag your eye away from what is on display. Fastenal is probably your best bet. The bolts for the arms (but not where they bolt to the base) are M5x20's. M5x20 SS SHCS Link The bolts that hold the arm to the base are M5x25'x. M5x25 SS SHCS Link. Washers. M5 Washers Link Nuts.     Me too. I outsource some items to China. I don't want to but I either can't find a producer period. Or, I can't find a producer that can do it less than 4x what I can get it in China for.

    Excellent, thank you. As far as wiping them down. Denatured alcohol? I just happen to have gallons of that. Or is there a risk of "melting" the plastic? Thanks again!
