I'd love to get a custom done like this. Do you by any chance remember the paint you used. Matching that blue/grey is the trick. That's kinda where my quest stopped.

I was about to buy that one you just got. Just put a bid in on another.

LOL

That sounds comforting.

Not having a Monster is a crime! Arguably the best $$$/enjoyment out of all the Macross toys.

My mistake. @DYRL VF-1S linked me to that article and I thought I went to TFW2005 for some reason. I'll chalk that up to one too many concussions. It was a great read even geared toward TF stuff. And I got to see more pics of your collection which was cool. I sat there with my wife as we picked out all of the cool stuff we could find. I'm pretty sure that wasn't the extent of it though. I seem to remember seeing different pics on here of more collection??? This/these are the box sets I have (I think it's just about everything). I agree about the picture quality of DYRL. It could certainly use the high def treatment. It's beautifully animated.

I just got some of this and tested it out. Figured I would write a quick review. Short version is that it ROCKS!!! The long version is that it works really well. I have an old Yamato VF-0S that has super loose shoulders and bicep swivels. They were so bad that you only option is to let the arms hang. I'd say the shoulder to ball clearance could have been measured in miles. I put some of this stuff in those points about 24hrs ago and let it dry. I just went to check to see how it was going. I was a little worried at first with how much pressure I was exerting on those fragile shoulders but just when I was getting really worried they "broke" loose and started moving around. But they're tight. I'd say perfectly tight. Same with the bicep swivels. The goop dried 100% clear. I can't tell it's even on there. I understand that you can get results with Future. But the results I got in the past weren't as good as this stuff. The Future would have take a ton of applications to get the 0S's shoulders tight enough. And Future doesn't come in a little bottle with a pin point accurate application nozzle. The KiKi is super easy to use. My conclusion, WORTH IT. I just bought a second bottle just in case I lose one. evilBay link

I'd start tripping out and think I was in a cartoon! -
So I immediately canceled that order (I can get one for less on Yahoo Japan and put it in a box that is already shipping DHL for effectively no shipping cost) and then got an email from him saying it could go boat only. I asked him to cancel the order. Aaaaaaannnnd, my CC got charged anyway. Yay, one more thing to follow up on! Grrrrrrr, I should have just had it sent by boat.

It's fitting that you are the one that responded. I read your TFW2005 interview last night and got a much better into your depth of knowledge. Also, hilariously, your advice is not to collect toys! I can't not agree! The story of getting those 1970's Star Wars figures in the Kenner case from the antique store was great. That took me back. I forgot about that case. Man, I wish I was a "saver". I had all of that stuff. Multiples of it. My grandmother spoiled me rotten. It would be super neat to have all of my G1 Transformers, Star Wars, GI Joe, Micronauts, Shogun Warriors and Lego's from what I was a kid. I could put a proper "museum" together. Anyhoo, I'm going to have to check my box set and see if Flashback is on it. I don't remember seeing it at the end of DYRL. Granted, I only watched in once so far. Looks like it's time to watch it again! So, using my display "logic" I could put it with My Hikaru's or the DYRL shelf that you sold me on yesterday with your Kakizaki pics. It will be a while before that shelf is ready to form though. Gonna need another Focker and Hikaru then wait for the Max release...............Why do I do this to myself! Thanks for the reply.

My organization isn't set up like that. I have my stuff organized by character or show. Also no Detolfs. It has no "show" correct? It's from a video game? Even if it did, I'm not doing an entire shelf for it's show/game. I'm going to have to put it in my Hikaru shelf. Probably by demoting something that's on it. That is unless I can figure out how to fit it in there without it looking too busy. Since it's a 1/60 I'd want to put it in back (my version of depth of field). Maybe I can make something work.

I mean don't get anything from that eBay seller. Hopefully someone is making this stuff still. I need hands and cavity fillers.

I couldn't tell which one was it! -
Yeah, that was a brilliant bit because it showed Jessica perfectly and it made fun of how everyone in these shows (and therefore themselves) is an elite fighter, including all the random baddies.....somehow.

Crap, I should have read down all the way. I placed my order through the same seller. I'm not paying 4,000 yen for surface shipping. I just put an order cancellation in. Hopefully it sticks. And hopefully someone else puts one up with DHL.
-
I just ordered with that link ships directly to the US. 28.400 yen.

Ragnar Lothbrok in space! That looks like it could be good and also looks like it could be really bad.
-
Wow, I'm blown away with all of that work.

How are you scaling that up? Are you measuring by hand?

I am 100% not into funny shows. My wife hounded me to watch The Good Place for ever. I finally relented.....................and I'm so glad I did. It's not what you think it is. It's funny. Really funny. And it's a lot more heady than you would think almost any show let alone something that is funny.
-
Add The Expanse to that list. And The Good Place. Preferably watched with your significant other.
-
I should probably pick one up just to have in reserve.

I predict they never release two seaters.
