Your most recent Macross or toy purchase! General thread.

Congrats! VF-1... the be-all and end-all. Well... until they release Version 3. Everyone can now get their VT-1, VE-1, and the Virgin Road for MSRP. Which is around Y38400 when it comes out. And that's only the basic valk. They will announce that all previous packs will still fits. -
Ah. I know what you meant now. Phillips vs Frearson. I still think you can use it as long that you don't apply too much pressure while screw-ing. Because what happens is that if the screw is tight and you're using the wrong driver for it while adding too much force then yes, probably you're going to stip some of the '+'. But if you try to unscrew it gently, and see that the screw moves, then you can still use the right size. I know spending money on tools is an investment but if you're just going to use it like less a year (which I do), then I don't see the need to buy a different set if I can use the regular phillips that I have that fits. Anyways, that's just me blabbering. Hehehe.

If you check page 1, 1st post, there's a version for 1/60. And it was for Ver2 Valks.

Sad to say it's not based on the product description. Product: SDF-1 Colored resin unpainted kit / fully transformable Quantity: Limited to 100pcs. Material: ABS/PU Size: 10.5cm length cruiser mode Accessories: Damage gun parts and stand Price: Y9259

The one you posted is a precision screwdrivers. I also have a precision screwdriver set as well. For me, as long that the screwdriver you have is the right size for the screws, I think it's fine. What happens to the stripped screws is that they were using the wrong size of screwdrivers to use. Besides most of the toys have smaller screws so I guess the precision sized screwdrivers is enough. Hope that helps.

Hahaha! No worries. Just trying. I know what you mean. Saw the blue one months before for $120. Should've bought it. Oh well. Hehehe.

Ok. So it's a non-scale transformable 10.5cm SDF-1 Macross for Y9259. I'll have to pass. It's the same amount as 2 Hasegawa 1/4000 SDF-1 Macross kits. Both DYRL and TV version. I'll also wait for Hasegawa to release its Attack mode kit.

Would love to try that on my VF-0A. Care to sell it to me? That's the plan sir if Arcadia will not release an official FB2012 scheme.

They look lovely together, Yeti.

Congrats! My wife also said the same thing on my Hikaru VF-1A and VF-1S. I said they just have the same color but they do have different heads and different designated number markings. -

That's what I remember too, Yeti. It's the reason why I bought one of the remaining ones posted in Amazon months ago. Thanks! As always, great review.

Basically, it's kinda the same without the open world aspect. Though what I really like with the PSP Macross games is that it has almost ALL the valks from different series. Imagine yourself riding the VF-4G, VF-2SS, Cutlass, and other valks.

Atleast it's the photo and not the wrong blue that made you bought the 0D.

I agree that YF-30 is perfect for Cannon Fodders. Budget-wise they will save a lot of money doing the CG drawings. Once all the missles goes Itano Circus, they're eventually get shot down and explode and cut the scene. Whereas if you use YF-29 as a Cannon Fodder, there will be no excuse for that one to get shot down after the missles went out since it's going to use more of the barrel cannons and lots of knife stabbing action as well. OT: My VF-19 Advance joints are still tight as well. And he's in Gerwalk mode.

I agree. But if ever they did come out with lots of fighter valk products with full detail and gimmicks, I want it in 1/72 scaled. 1/100 is too small and 1/60 is too big for me. And should be mounted hanging in the ceiling.

Hey abbadon. Thanks. Actually that's my first VF-4G from Kanedas Bike. I'm waiting for my 2nd one that I bought from FromJapan last week. Hopefully it will arrive tomorrow. No! No Ghost renewal! After I've spent $140 for it. Wait, was it 120 or 130? Hahaha! Wait. Are all head laser on some of the guys are crooked? Didn't notice that. Have to check it later. I haven't tried and checked on the legs esp the hip joints. Kinda scared to pull it. Hahaha! Paint scratches, none so far. But I have to watch out for the contacts between the metal bar and the wings in Battroid mode.
-
Thanks Spanner! Yeah, I love to pose it with the VF-4G. Love the neutral colors on this two. Thanks wmkjr. For the one besides the Ghost, yup, I did wrap it in tape in Battroid mode. Actually, that's the major gripe I have. I mean, Arcadia already decided to use the Ghost sets for this release, I just hope that they matched all the pegs for it. I also saw some negative comments from the Japanese market via Twitter about it. It would have been perfect if all the tanks and pods fits. Thanks abbdon. I don't regret buying the Ghost months ago prior of VF-0A release, even the pods and tanks doesn't fit perfectly. Hahaha!

Sharing VF-0A love during the labor weekend. Sorry about the picture quality. By the way, not sure if I already mentioned this but the missile pods and tanks from the Ghost Booster set is pretty loose since the hard point peg holes from the Arcadia release is bigger. The only thing that really fits from that set is the Ghost itself though you just really need to squeeze the Ghost canards in. Last I checked, there's no stress marks on my Ghost canards. I'm loving the Ghost on the VF-0's. Note here that the metal bar at the back is not straight and locked towards the body when the Ghost Booster is mounted. And don't try to lock it in, you might damage the backpack.
-
That's what I did since you can't put the Ghost canards at the same time while squeezing it since the space is tight compared to the Yamato one. Even though you put it one at a time, you need to squeeze the other one to put it in. Regarding stress on the Ghost canards, I can't guarantee 100% that it's safe. I need to check mine later. If you guys are worried that it will give stress to your Ghost canards, then my advice is don't do it. I only just shared what I did to make it work since I plan on putting the Ghost Booster on my VF-0A. At this point in time majority knows that the new VF-0's back is not as wide as the old Yamato VF-0's. So if you guys still want to try it then do it at your own risk. It's what I did.
-
It will be the same since the new VF-0A is narrower than the Yamato one. So doing that means you need to squeeze the canards still in order to close the tabs.
