  1. Welcome to the boards! For quick questions and such, please use TOYS FAQ thread. As for the battery question, hope Jenius can answer you that one since he reviewed Toynami Masterpiece VF-1 toys on his website. Good luck!
  2. Um, Claudia's Pineapple Salad?
  3. Great review, tekering. I used to have those kits back in the day too. 1984 to be exact. But ofcourse, it all end up in the trash can. I mean, what do you expect from a 9 year old boy back then, right? Think about the future for toy investing? Hehehe. But yeah, that one has a great Armo-Fighter profile. Wish some company will create a 'perfect' one. Though I'm still looking forward seeing reviews for the Evolution Toys.
  4. Great hauls, everyone! My second DX Draken arrived safely today courtesy of sil80jdm. Thank you sir!

One thing for sure, and members here will surely agree, that underside is better than this... This one is much better looking even if it still says 'The picture is for illustrative purposes only'. Here's the lineart for comparison.

Let's paint this thread, shall we?
  7. Looks like Arcadia hit a homerun with that release. But come to think about it, how many were produced for it to have a great demand after release? Great job, Arcadia! Now they have budget to re-release another VF-1.
  8. I still kinda like the concept of the actual game itself becomes real rather than the other way around.
  9. Not that everyone cares. But there's an upcoming SDCC 2017 Toynami 1/100 Exclusive 'Farewell, Big Brother' VF-1S Roy Fokker Veritech.

  11. Sorry. Post moved to its own thread since it's a TV series and not a Movie.

    Bandai DX VF-31

Try to do it like this first during transformation. Like instead of folding it to the point the pod will go by the head area, before opening it to reveal the charge and gunpod, leave it close and just angle it parallel (Sorry, i used 'perpendicular' earlier. I meant 'parallel') to the wing. Check Saburo's pix. Base it on how the pod looks on his Battroid mode. Photo below you can see the folding panel at the back how it was folder somehow. You get the idea.

Yes, the charger pod can be removed. As to answer your question, you just have to play the mounting hinges where the pod is attached too. There's no proper way of doing it, it's just based on anyone's preference. The only thing to consider is that if the hinge cannot fold anymore and you still don't want the pod to show up above or level with the head, then you just have to angle the pod away from the back more. If it's not your liking esp the side profile due to the pod sticking out away from the body a little bit and not aligned or 'parallel' with the wing fold, just remove the charger pod. Hope that helps.
  14. Thanks JVM!!! For now... I say thank you, Hachi! Yeah, during the time that I'm getting all the Variable Fighter Books, I saw this one and when I noticed that it's just some kit photos and how-to's, I said, nah I think I'm good with just the reference books since I don't do model kit that much. Yes sir! I have that one too. And now... I still say THANK YOU!!!
