  1. Sshhh. I'm now getting excited on that upcoming Chogokin RX-78F00.
  2. Hahaha! That's why when I decided on getting the first release which is Hikaru's VF-1J, I made sure that I will just get all of his white VF-1's. Including his VF-1J from Macross The First, in case Bandai decides on releasing that. So that they can be 'the first' on releasing that in toy form. And we're going to ask ourselves, did we just got 'Bandai-ed' or we've been 'Gundam-ned'?
  3. Same here. I like a lighter shade of panel lining. Black looks fake esp for small scale collectibles.
  4. Hey Cap. I was just browsing Mandarake and it looks like there were a bunches of used Mirage for Y6000/7000. However, KOG is not available anymore. eBay has it in $100+ range. I'm still really on the fence on these Kaiyodo figures since Mirage and KOG weren't my priorities. I might wait for Volks to release it even though it will be awhile but atleast it's the ones that I really want. But if I can't wait, then I might bite and see that Mirage and if it looks great displayed along with the RD L-Gaim Mk I & II that I have.
  5. Thanks @Darth Mingus! So these figures can be like a desktop display. And at that size (5+/- inches) I think that's good enough to display it beside my RD L-Gaims. But then, the two Mortar Headds that I kind of like is not included in this line. But then KOG and the Mirage looks amazing as well. Thank you for the link. I really appreciate it. I'll think about this Volks kit and see if I should try to buy a released one and see if it's my cup of tea. Thank you again guys for sharing all this insightful comments!
  6. I found these two online. Hope it helps. https://www.hobbylinc.com/trumpeter-aircraft-display-stand-plastic-model-aircraft-accessory-9915 https://www.wonderlandmodels.com/products/icm-aircraft-models-stands/
  7. Yup. Regular releases comes with decal stickers. How I wish Arcadia should start include waterslide decals as well aside from the sticker sheet. That way, they're basically giving options to the collector.
  8. Mortar Headds.
  9. Ok. So I went back and rethink the predicable sequence to fill-in the upcoming Valks that they can release and know that it's going to sell if they will continue releasing 2 Valks for each SDF version. Released: SDFM VF-1J Hikaru SDFM VF-1A Max DYRL VF-1S Hikaru DYRL VF-1A Kakizaki SDFM VF-1S Roy Prediction: SDFM VF-1A Kakizaki or VF-1D (TWE if it's Kakizaki's) DYRL VF-1S Max DYRL VF-1A Hikaru (with a possibility of a bundled Super Pack) (TWE) SDFM VF-1A Kakizaki or VF-1D (TWE if it's Kakizaki's) SDFM VF-1S Hikaru (with a possibility of a bundled Super Pack) DYRL VF-1A Max DYRL VF-1S Roy (TWE) Some of the SDFM above can be switched with these: SDFM VF-1J Armored SDFM VF-1J Max SDFM VF-1J Millia And to finish it probably with a TWE exclusive of DYRL VT-1
  10. So I was looking back and forth at the picture I shared 3 posts above. The one from Jenius site. Is it ok to ask how do you guys prefer your VF-4's in standing pose? Is it the same as the photo above where the leg vertically lines up to the head making the canopy/chest area angled? Or the canopy/chest area horizontally straight but legs are angled towards the back for balancing and looks like a number 7 from the side view?
  11. Thanks Cap for sharing these. I appreciate the FSS more. Looking the one with Sazabi, those FSS are the 1/100 scale, right? They're big. And the chrome looking one, it looks awesome. And based from the looks of this design, I agree that it should be static pose. Hoping somehow to have it pose aside from just standing would be nice. Like I said, I'm not familiar with this kits, but it really would be nice if it's articulated in a way that if I were to leave it in one fix pose, hopefully the pose I want is doable and it's not limited to just standing. By the way, last question. Are you or anyone familiar with the Kaiyodo FSS figure releases? And if so, how big they are compared to any? Thank you once again.
  12. I'm hoping for Hikaru VF-1A just to round off my Hikaru DX. And no, no plans on getting his VF-1D and VT-1. I'm just happy with his White VF-1's. But let's predict based on how Bandai releases it: SDFM VF-1J Hikaru SDFM VF-1A Max DYRL VF-1S Hikaru DYRL VF-1A Kakizaki SDFM VF-1S Roy My gut feeling tells me that if they're going this route of 2 Valks per each. Then the next Valk I can think of from SDFM is between Kakizaki's VF-1A or Hikaru's VF-1D. After that it's back to DYRL with VF-1A Hikaru and VF-1S Max. I'm definitely sure one of these is TWE release. And Roy's VF-1S DYRL is going to be the last to close the series after another SDFM release. What do you guys think?
  13. Hmmm. Elvis Draken. That could be true. Maybe that DX Chogokin thing covers the series that was mentioned. Upcoming VF-1S Roy for SDFM. The just released YF-29 Alto for MF. And perhaps Elvis Draken for MD?
  14. At first, I was actually hoping that it's going to be as white as their VF-0S. As long that it's not as grey as their previous VF-X variant, I'm good. I also don't mind them using Bandai's HMR white tone if they decided to. Photo courtesy of @jenius' Anymoon website.
  15. Thanks guys for the feedback. I really appreciate it since I didn't own any FSS kits. And the only knowledge I have of those prior is that they are all resin kits which I'm honestly admit that I'm not a big fan to begin with. I always want something that moves somehow and not just a static pose esp for a mecha. I really don't mind the long wait if ever. FSS is really not a priority for me nor completing what's available at this point. But knowing that Nagano did it somehow 'design-connected' to his Heavy Metal L-Gaim series (Mk I & II), I like to give it a try for those two that I mentioned.
  16. I’m not sure if this has been already discussed. But after reading the last part of your reply, I ended up looking back again on the twitter photo that I posted a few comments ago. I’m not sure that I’m seeing that white possibly pinkish plastic of their VF-1’s. So I wonder which white tone do you guys think that they’re going to use? Is it going to be as white as the VF-0S or as grey as the VF-0A?
  17. Or they can just simply call it as “Premium Finish Pro” and “Premium Finish Pro Max”. Hey David.
  18. So I browsed some 1/100 resin kit and old IMS released kits online and noticed that at 1/100 these are huge mechas compared to a standard 1/100 RX-78. I'm really not that into kits lately but I do like the designs of Wolke Schätze and Junchoon (First Sally Type) since they resemble Nagano's L-Gaim MkII and L-Gaim respectively. So the way that Volks releases IMS 1/100 and 1/144 scale kits sporadically, in the hopes that they will cover all of FSS designs, I will wait for those two.
  19. I'm no expert. But from what I know and understand on panel washing, it's hard to apply the 'capillary action' method on any flat surfaced/coated kits. Yes, you still can apply panel wash but don't expect that it's going to flow smoothly. And since Flory Wash is water-based it's safe to wipe any unwanted applied areas easily than thinner-based paints.
  20. Yeah. For now, all we can do is wait until it gets released in the hopes that it will still be widely available and not have astronomical price tag. Or better yet, who knows maybe months after, Bandai decides on releasing a DYRL Roy version. That way, it really goes well displayed with Hikaru's VF-1S.
  21. Copy that. So this time around, we're not just going to be 'Bandai-ed'. We're going to be 'Kawamori-ed' and 'Tenjin-ed' too.
