  1. I wonder if this would work. Maybe someday I will do water decal, pencil panel lining, and use this spray coat. http://krylon.com/main/product_template.cf...product_details I also heard someone using UV protective film for automobile on the display case windows. My valks are in storage space so it's perfectly protected, though it's not much fun.
  2. Appleseed figures are completed action figures. They looks great. Proto Garland is a plamodel. I made up my mind with transformable Yamato unless Aoshima decides to make one. So they are the same scale as CM's gokin/vinyl Patlabor. Although Helldiver is a good one, I must resist starting a whole new labor collection...
  3. That VF-2SS is awsome especially the cockpit area. I wonder if Bandai revisits VF-2SS as a part of their R3 line.
  4. Like, but says "late february release" that me not like.
  5. That spider tank is custom made for Hobby Japan, IIRC. Just heard that WAVE is releasing Navy arm suits kit, so they might get to the spider tank someday.
  6. You'd be surprised to see how Bandai achieved Geara Doga's knee and feet articulation. When Geara Doga crouches down he goes a little bit deeper than Jegan . Jegan's hip joints are better as you can open legs 180 degrees, but not sure anyone would pose him like that... If you are getting just one of them I'd recommend Geara Doga because of the details that include metal parts and plenty of weapons. If you are getting both, perhaps Jegan first.
  7. Terminators sent in order to prevent those sequels from ever being made must have utterly failed...
  8. Sky Linx has been a holy grail in Japan as it's never released over there. That should be the only reason Takara is trying to sell this with this price. This reminds me of the robot turkey from the future from ATHF.
  9. Just got HCM-Pro Jegan. Highly anticipated cannon fodder on my list from Char's Counterattack series. Comes with bigger box than Sazabi, but this is the smallest MS in the series. There is just large empty space in the tray to hold some extra parts off the sprue. There are quite a few waist and forearm parts to customize, but not as much fun as Geara Doga which has more handheld weapons. Good articulation, but again Geara Doga suprisingly beats it by a little. It's a great figure though. Underwhelming just because there are many greater figures in this series. Definitely getting Hi-Nu. Could there be Alpha Azieru and Nitingale???
  10. Just after I broke down and got one on ebay... I knew I just wasn't patient enough. As for the best combiner, I vote for Japanese JRX. JRX is great in all modes. I've completed many KO G1 combiners ($10-14 per set!!). I like Raiden and Superion. Raiden has been my dream bot since Diaclone. I also like RID Bruticus. You can combine them without ANY extra parts which is nice. Energon combiners were not bad, just very poor limbs.
  11. Found an review of SOC Iron Gear. It looks good. According to the review, legs lock together tight and still have 45 degree range of motion. There are bunch of slopes and maintenance hatches that can be opened. Also it comes with a lot of small walker machines in various modes, supply crates and even a merchant land ship. Reviewer didn't mention any problems. Only problem I can think of is the space it occupies... Land ship mode: http://robogeki.sakura.ne.jp/1980/gx38.html Walker Machine mode: http://robogeki.sakura.ne.jp/1980/gx38_2.html
  12. So this is the movie color version of the movie version of SDF-1??? Wave SDF-1 has been growing on me, thanks to this thread. I might succumb this time, unless there is a plan for the TV version.
  13. It says that Megahouse Cyclone now has an updated joint system. So bike seat still sticks out like that? I hope he can stand on his own. Oh, the little guys at the bottom (Garland, SP Hagan, mass prod. Garland) are trading figures from Organic.
  14. That's Megahouse variable action test shot. Garland pictured is Aoshima 1/24 Model kit.
  15. To me, a holy grail would be something ellusive, so that would be a prototype Boba Fett with removable missile. My personal choises are Diaclone Sky Base and Robot Base.
  16. Quick updates from Yaco: Megahouse Mospeada preorders started in Hobby Net in Japan. Hobby Net has same prototype pics we've already seen, no packaging photo. Price is 6,090 Yen and release date is pushed to late January... Bit high price, but quality should be good as they dropped PVC recently.
  17. 1. Nausicaa of The Valley of The Wind 2. Big O 3. Samurai Champloo 4. Cowboy Bebop 5. Dead Leaves
  18. Reideen looks like more articulated than I first thought. I am looking forward to seeing some more leg articulation. Interesting note from the link is some rough sketches of Godmars Titan showing how to retract it's arms inside. I've thought those arms would just be removable like Gunbuster's back kibble, but it's good to know that more efforts made to achieve perfect transformation.
  19. Only SOC I have so far is Combattler V. Any posing would bring him down on the ground. I guess Zambot 3 is the same deal, although it's recent restocking is quite tempting... Zambot 3 toy has been on my want list since childhood. SOC with modern, less blocky design seems more posable and sturdy. I'd add Dancouga and Baikanfu to my want list.
  20. Looks good. Unicorn will be my first MG since S Gundam...
  21. Those are model kits indeed and they are in 1/24 scale. October release seems a bit rushing, but I vaguely remember hearing that Garland kit was rumored long ago. Not sure how Aoshima would achieve gun storage gimmick. I wonder how Aramaki originally envisioned Garland's gun storage in anime. Yamato should consider gun storage for their Garland as a part of "perfect" transformation.
  22. There are many sci-fi tanks around Gun-Hed and it's enemy, Ghost in the Shell, Patlabor and so on. I'd like add a couple though. Hildolfr from MS Igloo and Bonaparte Tulcas from Dorvack.
  23. It's good to hear that the Garland's shoulder is in fact improved. I am looking forward to getting Proto Garland. Just added to my Garland shopping list is Aoshima plamodel version of Garland. Yacolog pointed to some prototype photos which are on Hobby World website. Aoshima is releasing normal and military colors, so Garland should come molded in color like bandai kit. Normal model comes with Shogo in riding and standing fixed poses. Military model comes with Shogo and Eve figures. Looks just like Yamato's except laser gun can be stored when in Maneuver Craft mode. Makes me wonder if Aoshima purchased Yamato Garland on sale and made mold out of that. These kits will be released in October with a price tag of 4000 yen which is great.
  24. 1/48 Hikaru 1J has been my most favorite. I guess my memory of 1J is much more prominent than any other valk variants. It is rock solid as a toy, too. (So as any other 1/48) Although my 1J is now equipped with GBP which is quite nice, but I really want the TV fast pack.
