  1. Argh! Mine is at customs and since it's the U.S. national holiday of July 4th I won't be getting it until probably Monday. -=\
  2. @ Arthrius... 1) Yea... I've checked the guns. They are indeed the correct color (blue w/ white stripe) to the Dynamite series. 2) The head does look a bit different than the prototypes, but it's hard to tell because the angles are all different. I agree... more pics please.
  3. @ wolfx... I highly doubt they will fit in the undercarriage. If they did we would've seen production pictures boasting such a feat. ***EDIT*** Follow up on my earlier reply... However the VF-22 still looks great overall.
  4. Thanks for the link for the pics. The bay doors on the VF-22S Gamlin look like they're fully molded and not attachments as we saw earlier from the prototype on Yamato's site. ***EDIT*** And for some reason I'm not entirely feeling the visor too much on the battroid mode. It seems like it's a bit thick (top to bottom) especially near the sides.
  5. @ Kicker That's a NICE custom paint job!
  6. Look closely (even though the angles are horrible) and you will notice that the fan made transforming Hasegawa YF-19 kit's gullet isn't as sleek as the original (it was altered from the original kit). It hangs/bulges out a bit just like Yamato's. ***EDIT*** And I'm not referring to the crotch piece.
  7. Ahh... geezz... sorry to hear that... I'm pretty sure he would be happy. I never got into the gaming aspect of it, but more of the modeling part. It was fun to collect, build and paint GW stuff. Space Wolves rock! Yea I figured GW would do that with their line since it would help them make the most sales... lol.
  8. It was stated as a June release, but knowing how things will work out it'll probably late June, early July.
  9. NICE!!! Lifesize* Warhammer 40k bolter rifle and mk6 helmet!
  10. Don't worry I'll still be making these even though Yamato is suppose to release their VF-22, but probably not as many. Not sure... I'll have to see about the demand. When I'm ready to cast these I'll be checking in with everyone to see if they're still interested.
  11. Update I've had to put this project off the past two weeks because I had to do some cleaning of my work area. Apparently I failed to remember the warnings of working with super glue and even working with styrene sheets. My allergies have been killing me last week. I went out and purchased the 3M Respirator mask and decided to work with my vent fan on (instead of having my window open). I have some progress pics of the progress which I've made in the middle to the end of May. I'm planning on re-working the front sections of the bay doors. I'm just not happy with how they're sitting (not angled enough to meet the rest of the body).
  12. Yea... I'm just going to assume that. Even though the pictures which Yamato took for the VF-22S are nothing but the YF-21 repainted (literally) with the parts swapped. If there were some changes made to the legs I'm pretty sure we would've seen something by now.
  13. I saw this in the description on Overdrive's site for Gamlin's VF-22S: "Notably differences with the YF-21 will be the totaly redesigned head, larger canopy as well as redesigned legs to fit the original design..." Any ideas? ***EDIT*** Maybe they just meant to state attachments are included for the difference of bay doors?
  14. They're letting people save up their hopes and money for it. Then when they release it and people are suckered into buying them they can laugh their ways to the bank thinking about how they robbed us again... lol.
  15. The weathering version makes it look way better.
  16. And there is the 1/72 YF-21/VF-22 Hasegawa kit if you want a sleek fighter mode. Sorry I just had to follow up on that one. LOL... ***EDIT*** And/or the 1/144 YF-21 Doyusha Diecast fighter. I don't own this or any of the collection in this range, but I'm just going to assume its sleek because it's only in fighter. I could care less whether the fighter mode was thicker or where it is now. I'm just glad someone is out there trying to make some progress on the YF-19, YF-21/VF-22, VF-11 Macross products. Otherwise we could all be sitting here wishing that someone would bite the bullet and produce some products in which we could be at least satisfied with.
  17. OMG the SHE VF-19S kit? Who's got that? That kit was the exclusive one. Were the hips different as opposed to the SHE VF-19 Kai (Fire), YF-19? Because I got both of those along with the SHE VF-22S, SHE YF-21 and the SHE VF-11. ***EDIT*** Ahh okay... it's pretty much the same thing as the YF-19 just a little different. I used the reference that Shawn and Graham have up on the main page under models>SHE
  18. I apologize in advance for the lack of a more creative/better background and better lighting... (I was just bored and feeling lazy): DYNAMIC POSE!!! (running to take the shot?) ***EDIT*** Aww crap... I thought this was the strike a pose thread (I fail...). One day I'll have to get all my valks together and take a nice pic.
  19. I may do a couple of recasts of the VF-22 parts since I'll be in the middle casting for my YF-21/VF-22 conversion project.
  20. Ahh... that sucks. Welcome to MW and grats on your first post. QUICK! RUN! While you still can! lol, jking... Hmm... sorry to hear that you've had that problem with your reissue Alto. Kind of sucks that they tightened up the antenna joints. I have yet to man handle my reissue Alto.
  21. Pre-Ordered my set of armored parts for Alto (at Overdrive), but definitely passed on the clear version. Too expensive (even without the markup) and my experience with clear plastic materials tells me there'll be quite a bit of stress cracks. On top of that, I wouldn't want to deal with all the headaches of Bandai's "special coating" chipping/flaking. It would be a great display piece, but that's what models are for and hell, didn't they come out with a 1/72 model exclusive fold version? I think I'll get that for displaying. The only thing which would make me consider buying the clear fold version is if they included clear super or clear armored parts with it.
  22. Or holding it up to a black light (Ultra Violet). I believe it was for technical reasons and to reduce the costs of production they used a lesser grade plastic for other (non/less mechanical) parts of the DX. I posted something about this theory a couple pages back.
  23. 1. Intakes do not come off. They are not removable. Don't even try. 2. Different plastic composition is the answer to the question of different colored plastic in the Bandai DX Macross Frontier toy line.
