  1. Really didn't want to quote myself... And I apologize for not indicating exactly in the two pictures above. I was just feeling too lazy. Thanks for circling the noted area anime52k8. ***EDIT*** Nice eugimon... unfortunately my 22 underwent the bitter assembly process of an unexperienced assembler.
  2. Yea I figured it would have the gap since it originates from the molds. It's not a big, big issue. Mine isn't that loose, however the left bay door is a bit looser than the right when fully extended, due to the gap. ***EDIT*** Or otherwise I would send an email to Overdrive to have them order and send me the better parts. XD
  3. The differences between paint and plastic is acceptable in my books, unlike how Bandai molds their valks in two different types/colors of plastic and different shades of paint.
  4. so your VF-22 doesn't have the gap between the left two pieces?
  5. Still need to be registered. Save the photo image(s) to your computer and upload it/them.
  6. @MacrossJunkie... Nice work with the panel lines and trick for the stickers. The issue/problem/thing with the bay doors flopping around in battroid mode when fully extended is not a single case. It's a problem which all the VF-22S have. It's due to the way the bay doors were designed/engineered. It seems they weren't designed exactly off the YF-21's doors, but entirely from scratch. they even made the middle screw peg on the left bay door (outer) half about two millimeters too long which causes a slight separation/gap (mine was miraculously glued together by the assemblers). Overall... yes my VF-22's bay doors have the same loose jiggle as yours.
  7. The 22 is actually blue-grey. Definitely not green-grey. ***EDIT*** But I definitely agree that the blue/yellow combination is definitely more appealing to the eyes.
  8. Yea... tell me about it. It's a pretty bad eye sore. -=\ I guess I could put up with it. If anything maybe sometime down the road I'll give it another matt finish. XD
  9. Okay my camera skills suck on top of my lame DSC-T50, but what the hell... (ain't going to top eugimon's nice pics):
  10. I don't think it was an entire new head, but new back half (?) and antennas.
  11. @m0n5t3r... Yea thanks for the credit about the somebody who pointed out the names on the sticker sheet. It took me a whole minute to snap a pic with my camera, resize it in Photoshop and post it. Jking... XD Okay... one of my VF-22 wings was somewhat loose, but after reading a couple posts about loose wings. I just wanted to see if one of the screws were loose (which fasten the ends which hold the wing attachments) and found that the threads which hold the screw were stripped! There was no bite when I attempted to lightly tighten the screw. It just spins freely. This screw is the rear one located on the right under side. Can anyone else confirm if they have this problem? Thanks in advance. I never check to see if this was a problem on my VF-21, but I'm pretty sure it's a one off and could easily be solved with some super glue or some other simple repair. And talk about QC... I noticed this when I first got the VF-22, but never mentioned exactly what it was (I mentioned it as a blemish in a previous post). It looks like whoever assembled the VF-22 had some light corrosive chemical on their hands and may have melted(?) the matt finish top and bottom so it appears somewhat gloss. Bleh... w/e I'm just nitpicking. ***EDIT*** Since my YF-21 is currently in parts, I decided to take it upon myself and attach the 21's tail fastpacks to the 22. Looks pretty nice IMO. XD
  12. Excellent pics eugimon. I see you got some scratches on the faceplate as well. Mine has them on the opposite side.
  13. The sensors on the legs are blue now? XD Kind of hard to tell since it's super packed up.
  14. Okay... I found a problem with the left bay section. On the left bay cover where the middle most screw connects the screw hole pillar is about 2mm too long which causes a separation between the two pieces when fully screwed together. The genius assemblers decided to glue the two halves together making it more difficult to repair rather than chopping/shaving off the extra length. I'm aware that by fixing this through the molds would be too costly, but hell did they really have to glue the two halves together? -=\ I'm pretty sure most if not all will experience this problem with their VF-22 variants even maybe with the Max and Miria since it seems to originate from the molds/CADs. The valk still transforms w/o a problem, but I'm not sure if this will cause any long term complications. Maybe I'll post up a pic later if I'm not feeling too lazy, but if you have the VF-22 you will notice the slight gap between the two sections.
  15. Sorry. My intention wasn't to make you feel stupid. On another note... I was staring at the faceplate for a bit and I think I figured out why the visor on my VF-22 Gamlin isn't glued in or secured. I believe Yamato produced the valk with such a looseness (jiggle) to compensate for a perfect transformation. When angled forward the visor leans out and when angled back it recesses back in. It's barely noticeable. I guess this was done so this way when the faceplate is folded back under the fuselage the visor doesn't clash with the antenna's locking tab/base. Yet to contradict myself... however if this were the actual case they should have made this feature a bit more prominent with a locking tab or something and have the visor protrude out just a bit more.
  16. LOL... how could I? I have super sharp eyes beyond all imagination! LOL, jking... I was the one who took the pic of the sticker sheet and posted it. Thus I have the sticker sheet in my possession.
  17. Np. Hmm... wow, I never even thought of that. Most likely could be that or they included them just in case people wanted to do customs. XD ***EDIT*** Alright... Max and Milia's names are definitely on the sheet 31, 32, 33 are Gamlin's, Max's and Milia's names (respectively). In that order. Save up your MONEY! I'm buying doubles of each! ***2X EDIT*** Plus they misspelled New Edwards as New Edwars... again. -=X
  18. I guess it's just as thin as the YF-21's sticker sheet:
  19. Got mine in from Over-Drive. It's pretty nice. There were a few QC issues, but nothing broken (a blemish, scratched paint, a small dent on the chin of the face, a chip in the plastic caused by the locking tab near the top mid section of the plane where the body and fuselage split in half). I noticed the visor on the VF-22's face was not glued in or secured. My table rocks a little and to see the reflection in the visor moving kind of bugged me out. I agree with everyone else about how Yamato should have included some sort of canopy cover for battroid mode (I guess I could make one since I'm still working on the conversion project). When the visor (in battroid mode) is angled like the official Yamato pics it seems to be the same thickness. I just wished Yamato made the visor a tiny bit thinner to give it more of a sleeker look rather than a bug eyed look. I don't recall the visor being so recessed into the rest of the face, but I guess it was necessary to give it a perfect transformation. There is a double lip in the middle of the visor originating on one side and ending at the other. Great valkyrie/variant/remake IMO.
  20. No it does not come with heat shields.
  21. Argh! Mine is at customs and since it's the U.S. national holiday of July 4th I won't be getting it until probably Monday. -=\
  22. @ Arthrius... 1) Yea... I've checked the guns. They are indeed the correct color (blue w/ white stripe) to the Dynamite series. 2) The head does look a bit different than the prototypes, but it's hard to tell because the angles are all different. I agree... more pics please.
  23. @ wolfx... I highly doubt they will fit in the undercarriage. If they did we would've seen production pictures boasting such a feat. ***EDIT*** Follow up on my earlier reply... However the VF-22 still looks great overall.
  24. Thanks for the link for the pics. The bay doors on the VF-22S Gamlin look like they're fully molded and not attachments as we saw earlier from the prototype on Yamato's site. ***EDIT*** And for some reason I'm not entirely feeling the visor too much on the battroid mode. It seems like it's a bit thick (top to bottom) especially near the sides.
  25. @ Kicker That's a NICE custom paint job!
