Aye, and what I would like to see too are the VF-25 CFs in action, and some blowing up good too. One thing that's been bothering me so far is that the battles tend to be too one-sided. Earlier on it was the vajra winning too easily, now it's the 171's turn to shine. I would've loved for the dogfight chaos in Macross Zero, where you could see both sides had their fair share of casualties in each battle. It would make the battles seem more epic, and outstanding maneuvers like the PPB punch, well, seem more heroic.

Eh, I kinda like this new OP. Lovely visuals too. Sayoko... awesome. 'nuff said! Instead of Kallen changing sides, maybe it's Suzaku? After Shirley's speech about forgiveness and all... Finally, an episode that felt much better than the 4 or 5 before it. No ex machina to steal the show, no sudden upgrades/appearance of mecha to save the day. A good half hour of plot. Can't wait to see how the next ep will pan out. Did i say that Sayoko is awesome? Ninja maid!

You know, after looking at the VA-3 pics from the 1/200 Yamato figure collection, I kinda realized that Lugnut's transformation is pretty similar, no? The whole wing mounts becoming the arms thing, legs becoming the fuselage. Even the shape, if it wasn't so bulbous... And I kinda like how thin the whole fuselage looks... if only it weren't purple. Even all green like Bulkhead would have been nicer...

One thing though, seems like the YF-19 has got the best engine intake detail so far. It's not just a circular nozzle on a dark surface, but the area surrounding the nozzle is detailed too with grooves and silver paint http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/toys/Y...w/fighter_5.jpg The added intake detail makes the fighter feel less toyish. I noticed every other fighter, from the VF-1, VF-0 and SV-51 lacks that detail. Toughie. Toy form no doubt the YF-21 is probably the most beautiful valk fighter ever. But overall I think the YF-19 has a better balance of looks in all 3 modes. And forward swept wings are cool. YF-19 for me On a value side though, the YF-19 has prob the least value of all the recent valks (SV-51, YF-21, VF-0). Accessories are awfully slim the the non-fp one. Wish it at least had some kinda stand or that it came with the FPs...

How significant is Macross OST being in the top 3 of the ORICON charts? According to this article: http://mainichi.jp/enta/mantan/news/200806...00c.html?inb=rs the last time an anime OST was in the top 3 was 11 years ago, the End of Eva soundtrack! So it is one heck of a big deal! things are sure looking good! I bet Ranka's single is gonna do great!

Just bought a YF-19. Not sure which ed it is, it's got a straight as heck gunpod, but still has the wrongly canted gear Before I try to transform it for the first time, for those who experienced the neck hinge breaking, did you guys follow the instructions on this page? http://www.yamato-toys.com/dev/cont_002/index.html This step specifically says that you should pull the neck to the front and bend the neck a bit to dislodge the locking part. The red text specifically states that there is a possibility of breakage if you bring down the neck to much. This is exactly how it should look. The neck should not be bending more than that. The pic specifically says in the red bold text that you must not bend the neck to the front. You should only slide it backwards horizontally. The other pages are pretty self-explanatory. For those who've transformed the YF-19's neck, could the instructions help to avoid breakage of the neck hinge? seems that Yamato was aware this could be a possibility, that's why they posted this help page (and probably why they don't think it's a QC problem?)

According to this article: http://ga.sbcr.jp/mgangu/010109/ the YF-21s have been sold out in Japan and only the display pieces are left. A second run has been scheduled in June! (i.e. if I'm reading it correctly!)

IIRC, wasn't the gerwalk on the VF-1 an 'afterthought' as well? Something about how the designer (kawamori?) was fiddling with it and realised the 'mode' between fighter and battroid was kinda cool!

I do hope it's the Justice, my favourite mecha from SEED, even more so than Freedom. Since Freedom and Justice were based off the same frame in the anime and share some features, some of the work has already been done. Not to mention that a Justice MG should be easy enough for Bandai to modify into an Infinite Justice MG later on.
