Hm - no zipper on the jacket is a bit of a bummer I don't live in a dome where environmental controls keep the temperature at SF summer on the beach levels all the time Generally it looks ok - not great though. Maybe one day, if the economy improves and there's loads of credit available for useless crap again - then I'll take the plunge and try to find some higher quality cosplay stuff Still - nice pics - got all the proper Macross poses down pat Congrats on the jacket too - despite my bumbling, I'm sure I'd buy one if I had the spare cash - it's just that this is "too much" for a cheap jacket...if that makes sense... it's kind of like me not wanting to buy 1/100s or something when the bigger and more expensive figures seem to give me more bang for the buck... I remember the SOC, and wanted him badly, but can't seem to find him. Always thought this take on Spiderman was awesome Happy to see Marvel pimping it Pete

Who says I'm not? Problem is, I'm a very marginal writer who's only published a handful of pieces, most of them in arcane and online niche websites that nobody reads But at least I have Macrossworld Oh - and on a more serious note: I can SORT of understand A7's frustrations. If someone takes the time to make careful photographs that they put their heart into, it can hurt their feelings if other people that they hold a grudge against quote the pics. But the problem here - A7 - in my opinion (and please don't get mad at me) - is that you went a little bit overboard and made your some what legitimate grudge sound silly. Obviously the best course of action would be for you to bury the hatchet with Yellowlightman. Also - notice how class-A Yellowlightman has been about this. He hasn't even written a post in this thread (unless I missed something) - which means he's tryin to stay away from trouble and avoid starting a flame war or even flame spark. If he was really the bad guy you paint him as, who wants to eat you alive, he'd have visited this thread ages ago to breath fire from the bowels of his belly or something. Everyone has the right to their feelings - and even if others' think A7's being over-sensitive and bordering on the silly - they are HIS feelings and he can be a bit hurt. But, A7, take note please that I honestly don't think there was a conspiracy against you, or any intention to hurt you. It would really be cool if you just let bygones be bygones - especially since this really is a minor incident. I mean - come on - the mods closed my Jennifer Aniston thread - THAT is MAJOR news that could potentially bring down the international financial system, send stocks plummeting even more, and lead to traumatic consequences that our grandchildren will have to suffer long after our time. But I showed restraint and didn't open a complaining thread about it. However- I would not be surprised if Jennifer Aniston herself were to visit Macrossworld soon to make her views on this pressing matter clear. Pete

Yeah but... I still remember how Hasbro managed to muck up the Optimus Prime Masterpiece... so I shudder to think what they'd do to Grimlock... Besides - whatch them have to "file" his "nails" for safety concerns - not to mention making his teeth square and totally changing the sword... Not that I really care, since I'm not getting Hasbro TFs these days... Pete

That's just misinformation. The sad truth is that every year, millions of children die from image-quoting. Did you know that only last year, the World Wildlife Foundation recorded 300,000 cases of malnutrition amongst Bombai Chimpanzees due to image-quoting? Did you know that the UN has filed more that four million complaints from people just like A7, with specific evidence tying not only the plight of hungry children in Guatemala to image-quoting but specifically indicating that thousands of children went hungry because Yellowlightman quoted A7s images. These are hard truths to deal with folks. Pete

I wish somebody would steal my pictures... I feel under appreciated. In fact, if this goes on any longer, I'm going to start a thread called "WHY DON'T PEOPLE WORSHIP LOVE AND ADORE ME?" and complain that the folks at Macrossworld are poo poo heads because despite all the effort I put into my posts, I think only one guy so far has seen fit to put a quote of mine into his avatar. How am I supposed to achieve world wide fame and rule the universe if people on the internet won't bother quoting me? please steal from me guys. Pete EDIT: Oh - and since this seems to be the place to make ridiculous complaints: I would also like to officially ask the mods to reconsider the locking of my Tabloid/Jennifer Aniston-turns-40 thread in the Anime and Sci-Fi topic area under the bogus pretense that Jennifer Aniston has nothing to do with science-fiction. I mean, maybe that's true, but she has nice boobs, and boobs are a big part of anime. So... I think the connection and legitimacy of the subject are pretty clear. Oh - the injustice of this world...

I dunno. Sheryl's breasts have been wooing me of late. Ranka's kind of like smart, intelligent, caring and wonderful women: after a while, the novelty fades. Breasts and a fine ass, on the other hand, never seem to lose their power of attraction... That said...hmm...yeah - Sheryl's breasts are waay too small in that pic. And what exactly is the valkyrie she's posing inside of? And finally... Is Alto giving Luca a weggie in the background of that three-girls pic? Pete

I don't know about everybody else, but standard operating procedure for the upper thighs/upper legs in battroid mode is to wedge them in between those two protruding lumps just above the nose cone. Technically - the joint inside the upper thigh (the one that allows for Gerwalk configuration) is the one that ought to move when you want your battroid to "go forward" - not the joint connected to the T-bar. If you wedge the upper thigh between the two stubs above the nose properly - then the legs will not "flop" back no matter what you do. I sincerely believe that this is the intended and proper design of the VF-1 in general. Given the placement of the wings, it's obvious this thing was not meant to have its' upper thigh joints "swing back" anyways - but rather, the legs are meant to move along the axis of the ratchet joint inside the upper thigh that also activate Gerwalk mode. So - there is no "floppiness" problem - just stick the thigh into the stubs Pete defending Yamato at every step

It is? Maybe. Maybe not. Who knows. Pete

The MW Automotive Thread Quattro SpecV

I always feel like a little kid looking into the windows of the local strip joint when I enter this thread... Anyways - I'm doing my driving exam... it's a tedious process. 30 hours of riding around with an instructor and then 45 minutes of an actual test with an examiner. I've done 8 hours so far. It's fun. It's nice. Hopefully I won't fail the actual test(s) and have my license by the end of April... Then it'll be car shopping time. And then... I will become an active member of this thread Pete -
Those Macross Zero on Drugs pics are GREAT Pete

You know, I had the same "problem" with one of the feet on my VF-1S Roy and I expect that the 1D's got the same problem here - but it's just virgin tremor; You don't know what's "too much" or "too little" pressure and you will end up hurting her either way. Best advise is to just go at it and ignore your fear that she might feel some pain or discomfort. After a few attempts, you'll get to know that part of her better and be able to apply just the right amount of pressure to make sure you're both happy. Pete

Good job A7. Any picture displaying violent brutality against Toynami "Masterpiece" "veritechs" is ace in my book And the 19 looks particularly mean and nasty given those angles Pete

I'm sure many of you will be shocked, just shocked to learn that I managed to fix the DVD driver on my laptop and am now able to watch movies. See - it seems I have some computer proficiency after all Oh...yeah...um... I also erased all of my documents, all of the accounting and tax forms for my business going back to 2007, all of my anime movies and series (from Macross Frontier to SDFM TV, to NGE...everything), all of my photographs (including vacation pictures), all of my translation work, all of my comics scans, all of my software, AVI movie player, flashget - hell - I even erased firefox.... Yeah. So... I've...been sitting around today restoring things... Macross Frontier comes first...I've got fire fox back...and ...umm...I put Hikaru and Misa kissing on my background...so...I could cheer myself up. But hey... at least I can...watch DVDs...now. yeah. success is...sweet. Pete -

It;s that "blah blah blah" part that interests me I am feeling optimistic. I hope that AT LEAST the DX Ozma w/Armor will have the lasers straightened out. I would really love to get this. Pete -

It's Perfect Grade. I barely make a decent Master Grade kit. I have a long way to go before feeling confident enough to get a Perfect Grade kit So - it's naught to do with the Red Frame as a Gundam, but with the fact that he's a PG. Pete

Sorry if I missed out on the origin of this - but is this jacket like the academy shirt and available from Cospa or someone - or is it custom made? Pete

Isn't the grey neck base cannon? Or ...something...? In any event, it doesn't bother me. Pete

Ah Britney Spears. Man - I remember when I worked in a grocery store and she was the up and coming next big thing. Oops I did it again was topping the charts, and there was a picture of her on a locker in the store smoking room where I had my lunch. All of us guys would have dreamed of having her as a girlfriend... Now she's got a baby, a beer belly, a shaved head and an ex-husband named Ferdinand. Well -or at least she did. I saw her 'come back' performance - the train wreck one - and man...yeah... dag...it was like a cosplayer or something - a really bad cose-player. But see - this just makes me respect Jennifer Aniston even more. Technically, she could be shaving her head and all that stuff too. But instead she stays ambitious and keeps working on being good looking and still has hopes of getting better acting roles. Heck - and she's 40. Britney Spears basically turned 25 and decided to "make over" herself to look like Gomer Pile. You go Jen! Pete

So - I suddenly had the urge to discuss the future of Jennifer Aniston with people here, since she is turning 40 soon. But then I thought it might be kind of lame to just open a "Jennifer Aniston" thread, so I opted for a general Tabloid Chatter Thread. Feel free to change the particular subject of the thread every once in a while - but let's try to keep all the talk about smut, celebrities and super-natural occurances in this thread - or at least - that was the idea. I'll start with Jennifer Aniston. Now - I never found her particularly attractive - although upon closer inspection it turns out that she is very attractive, but more so as she gets older - at least in my book. If there is any woman (physicaly existing in the real world) who I would compare my girlfriend with - it is Jennifer Aniston. Same build, same height, same proportions, same hair color and hair length - SLIGHTLY different face - but lots of similarities as well. This could also be interpretted as an "I think Jennifer Aniston would make a good live-action Misa/Cathy" since those are the Macross girls who I compare my girlfriend with. Also - my girlfriend is 40, and now - so is Jennifer Aniston. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,503648,00.html All the more reason why I find her an intereseting subject, because she's a beautiful woman with a stressful job who is 40 and therefore goes through a lot of what my girlfriend probably goes through. This is why it's probably a good idea for me to keep up with Jennifer Aniston from now on. I never saw any of her movies. Obviously I saw her in friends, but I always liked the character of Monica better. Anyways - all I really know about Jennifer Aniston's acting career is that she keeps appearing in films where she dates guys OTHER than Brad Pitt and therefore suggests that she too can find a good looking guy? Or something like that... I can't remember the title of any of her movies, but the posters I see are always the same - her and some guy - and it's a romantic comedy. Then I read in the tabloids that that guy is her new boyfriend. Then I never hear of the guy again And it's on to the next one. Do you think it's possible she and Brad Pitt will get back together? She says in the above linked article (if you can call the two sentences and article) that she wants to be a Bond Girl - or ...is that just the title of the article (looks) - ok - she firmly says she wants to be a Bond girl. I haven't seen any non-photoshopped pictures of her recently (well - ever I think) - but - she could quite possibly be a good candidate for a hot Bond girl. I think that's a good ambition to have. Anyways - happy birthday Jennifer Aniston. What do people think? Pete

Yeah, but my local currency is tanking in value almost like the Dollar was a couple years back. But, whatever, I have five bank accounts with different currencies in each one including a Japanese Yen account so I feel protected in the short and long terms. Cool That is great advise. And it's also exactly the right way to think and drink Pete
