  1. OK, got it hand a couple of hours ago, my impressions are this... Woah. This is, as I thought, the best Bandai release yet. They knocked this one out of the park. The motorized turrets are a blast to play with. All lights and sounds are top notch. The sculpt detail itself is pretty much on par with the Bandai kits which is yet another area that makes this superior to the GX-64 2199 release. Id say if you can get one, you should. Even if you already have the GX-64, you should still get this. Yes, it's that good. In fact, I plan to get a second one to keep MIB. I shudder with anticipation to think how good Bandai's inevitable 2205 Yamato release will be, and if I'm able, I will definitely get that one too.
  2. Interesting review here : http://bravefortress.com/gallery/soul-of-chogokin-gx-86-space-battleship-yamato-2202/
  3. I figured they'd make the arrows black before production began.
  4. I'm going to get one, even if I have to get it second hand, I've been waiting for this very one, skipping everything else since the 1/48's came out. If I have to post a WTB in the trade section here, then so be it.
  5. I guess I'm in the minority for liking 2202, huh?
  6. Well I'll be damned, small world, isn't it? I had the BPX-01 as well as the GX-57 and GX-64. Like I said, Bandai always seems to be improving their releases with each one, I have no doubt the GX-86 is better than the GX-64. I saw the Hachette that's coming out in parts, good luck with that, I wouldn't have any room for that monster where I'm at right now, LOL. The GX-86 seems to be much better detailed than the GX-64, I bet it looks great in person, can't wait to see for myself.
  7. 6 1/2 years later...got a GX-86 and it should be coming in either tomorrow or Thursday. I don't know if I will do a full review, but I will definitely give my thoughts on it compared to the GX-64 that I had. If I'm right, I think this is going to be an improvement in every way, as they have improved upon every version of the Yamato that they have done with every new release since the beginning.
  8. If that's the case and it's to match the TV version, then it's the TV version for sure. Pretty sure they'll change the Yellow arrows to Black before release.
  9. Any idea as to when preorders for the TV Roy will be open?
  10. Thanks for that, ordered over there.
  11. Pre-ordered the stealth, and 2 of the low vis, that's my favorite of the two. Can't wait for them to come in.
  12. Hey Bandai, please make a Low Vis VF-1S : You know you want to.
  13. Frak it, I preordered the stealth version, will get the Low Vis when it shows up.
  14. Frak. Guess I will have to pick up the DRYL VF-1S...IF I can manage to find it for under $350 that is. Right now they're going for prices that I feel should involve at least a kiss first, LOL.
  15. Any idea as to what's coming next? I haven't bought any of these since I was waiting on Roy's VF-1S to come out, I don't plan on buying many of these, so I'm limiting myself to just one or two.
  16. So, we still have no idea what this new series story line is about?
  17. Either way, they can't end it like in the movie or they won't have another season, so that's obviously not gonna happen.
  18. I've always said that those unlucky enough to be assigned there should get triple rate combat pay if not more.
