  1. Thanks for that. I would like to make a suggestion : Have one pinned thread dedicated to Macross Delta info only and keep it locked, only allowing staff members to post new info as it becomes available. Make another pinned thread for discussion of the new series.
  2. If they look like garbage, like the V1 VF-25's did, it will be a no brainer for me to pass them up like I did the V1's. They're going to be CGI, there's NO EXCUSE for them not to be accurate. It was hilarious to read people defending the fact that the V1's anime sculpt accuracy was craptacular. Then came the V2's, LOL. Bandai won't get away with those shenanigans twice, and they know it. And I agree with Graham, the V3's will also need to have wing hard points and better pilot sculpts.
  3. No, the only thing needed for a V3 VF-25 is a matte finish. Instant buy from me.
  4. Wouldn't surprise me in the least.
  5. Yeah, I haven't forgotten that either. if Shin's VF-0A's colors don't turn out right, I'm not going to pre order Roy's, I'll way till someone gets one in hand.
  6. There will probably be a VF-30 at some point.
  7. No, I was referring to the shoulders and arms being lower than the leg engines in fighter mode, it was the only real flaw that I saw. The V2 solved that issue, but at the cost of making the upper intake section of the legs thicker to help hide the arms and shoulders when seen from the side. In terms i side view line art accuracy overall, I still say the 1/48 was better. The only V2 I own is a DYRL Roy VF-1S, and that's going to be the only VF-1 I ever own, until either Arcadia comes up with an improved V3, or Bandai does a DX version. Shin's VF-0A will be my VF-1 fix (Yes, I know it's a VF-0, but I think the design looks better than the VF-1 series) until then.
  8. I really, really want to see what Bandai would come up with doing a DX VF-1. Sadly, I don't think Arcadia is going to do a V3 1/60. Don't get me wrong, I like the V2, but nowadays, it's starting to look dated to me compared to everything that's come out in the last year or so. There's lots of room for improvement. I think the 1/48 still has the best looking fighter mode, the low hanging shoulders were the only thing that killed it, IMO.
  9. Am I the only one who thinks there seems to be a lack of maneuvering thrusters on this particular valk?
  10. I really wish Arcadia would take a lesson from Bandai on tampoing, they could really stand to learn a thing or two. The differences between the YF-19 and VF-19 Advance is painful, to put it mildly.
  11. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/wwe-hall-famer-roddy-piper-dies-61-232028737--spt.html R.I.P.
  12. From the Macross Mecha Manual : So I don't think you're going to see a "191" variant of the 171, therefore it's likely that the VF-25 will be the New UN Spacy main variable fighter.
  13. Exactly. It's one thing if this was a custom, but it's not. I know, I know, it's crazy these days to actually want my anime toys to be anime accurate, but I guess I'm just crazy like that.
  14. The backs of the engines and lower stabilizers need to to be painted dark grey instead of black, I hope this gets corrected before production.
  15. After seeing Bandai's take on the YF-19 design, I'm very curious as to how their version of the VF-1 would turn out. My vote is for a DX VF-1 series.
  16. Yep, it looks best without all that stuff on it, IMO. That big skull on the back is a major selling point to me.
  17. New Valks are all good and fine, but none of that will mean a damned thing if the storyline sucks. When SDFM came out, it was 36 episodes and all we had were variants of the VF-1 and we got through that just fine. Why? Because the storyline was great. (To me at least) This is taking place, when, 2067? That's only 8 years after Frontier, so while I expect we'll see new Valks, I'm also expecting to see a lot of what came before, the VF-25's were just being put into service around the time of Frontier if I remember correctly.
  18. That area on the back of the engines should be dark Grey, not Black. I see they're going with White this time for the main color.
  19. Nice, can't wait for it to come out.
  20. I liked them both, but if I had to choose, it would be Airwolf every time.
  21. I know, right? I never could get over how they had no real AA guns. Darker hull color? Sounds good to me. No wave motion guns? Screw that noise. There had better be wave motion guns, or I'm going to be pissed off.
  22. I should have been more clear, by main variable fighter, I was actually referring to the "hero" mechs. The mass produced fighters will probably be VF-25's.
  23. Am I the only one here who thinks the YF-30 will end up being the new main variable fighter?
