  1. sweet!! very nice, like it a lot, did you had to dissamble to paint?
  2. It appears preorders for the Hikki 1S will come soon https://twitter.com/ARCADIA_Co_Ltd/status/370022085793300480
  3. Damn that Regult is massive!!. Nice clean build. Great pics except for the ugly fokker YF-29 in there. BTW Nice man cave!
  4. Yep, VF-1S Max with option parts and stand.
  5. Nope, release is most late late late August, early september, still 2 weeks to go.
  6. Impressive! well done!
  7. and he sa Nice!! and he says he's not a modeller! Great job and skills! B))
  8. Awesome job! careful, Graham's head is gonna explode now! hehe
  9. I remember there once was a time when buying a v2 VF-1 with super/strike packs separately was cheaper than getting it bundled, and I mean really cheap, like 120 or something total.
  10. The VF-4G has a lot of speculation too, if I remember correctly, most of it was centered in its price, gunpod or not, FB2012 Skull scheme, the fin on the head, transformation and battroid proportion and those stupid detachable missile pods before release. Very nice dream you had there Graham, was Kawamori just a floating head? hehehehe
  11. Thank you, it's Tamiya racing green TS-45 spray can. I've always felt I could have done a better job, specially since I hated how the clear coat chipped like hell and I've been unable to pop out the shoulder light to fix them. I'm planning on doing a second run at another alaska scheme to see if I can do it better.
  12. LOL, ok fine, the VF-X isn't ugly . Maybe the pictures I've seen of it don't do too much justice since I don't own one. IMHO I like the 1/48 low viz v1 better
  13. Will probably be in the last days of August.
  14. haha...yep. ok, maybe ugly was too harsh, the VF-1 can never be ugly, how about "their scheme are not very appealing to me" and hardly worth what people are trying to sell them for since they are not hero valks. But don't get me wrong, if I could, I wold buy them since I'm trying to be a completest. The only valk I will never ever in a million gazillion years will get is a VF-19 Kai fire valk.
  15. I'm getting two VF-1J 30th not because I find the valk appealing but because how ugly valks like the angelbird and VFX tend to sell due to their rarity as a small investment for the near future, could even help fund a bit of the YF-19.
  16. I have not built a any of the Frontier bandai kits but from what I gather, if you want to go full modelling on it, it will be a pain. To answer your questions 1. If you clean the surface and apply the stickers properly and give the model respect, the sticker will be fine. If you want to use the waterslide decals, for best results you can use a decal softener and setter, if you find it difficult to get these, you can use plain old white vinegar. Why do you need a decal softener/setter?, well, let's say your adding a decal in a recessed or contoured area, if you just apply the decal with water, the decal will be essentially on top but will not take the shape of the area, if you apply with a softener/setter, the decal will take that shape making it look much much better. I use white vinegar with great results. Decals are much much fragile than stickers, so you rub them against an edge, they could chip unless you clear coated them. 2. Already answered, it's called panel lining, you can also search numerous tutorials in youtube, they are very clear and easy to follow. You must do a gloss coat first, the idea is that the gloss will help the wash to flow easily trough the lines and the coat protects your paint job/decals underneath. 3. A lot of modeller like to do a dry test fit before fully assembling, basically is just seeing what part goes where, can you help you decide what part to paint first, what part needs filling, sanding, etc., because doing it with the kit already assembly would be much more difficult or even impossible. Hope this help, the main key for this is patience.
  17. I'd love for the YF-19 to be 300 or less!, but realistically I feel it will be VF-17Dw/SP/VF-4G prices. But we're still less than a year away and maybe if the VF-1J 30th, VF-1S Roy/Hikaru sell well enough the market could shift a little for them to allow a little price offset.
  18. The 11B still getting attention. http://www.ebay.com/itm/161082798891?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
  19. Just got a Q-Rau to try this awesome mod. There's a discount?? count me in! Did you ever finished it? I'd like to see it!!
  20. Wow!! very poseable indeed! wish I could get one.
  21. It's been said many times before, next year. Please search of read the Arcadia threads, they aren't too many, it may be a nuisance to read several pages but if you look at the 3 main Arcadia threads this questions has been asked and answered already too many times before.
  22. Wow! amazing, that must require a lot of patience. Do you use some kind of stand to hold and move each part so you don't smudge with your fingers before sealing it?
  23. I hope you used a template for the aztec pattern!! Amazing!
  24. I like it gray. I guess if its clear the housed loose parts will be visible trough the stand making it an eyesore.
