  1. well, that's good to know. Anyways, I have the dumbest problem ever; I've now got 3 exotic weapon bounties going at once, so I'm running out of room to do regular bounties. I've still got that one for thorn, (which I may or may not ever finish) I've got the one for Bad JuJu, which I'm on the last leg of, and I just received the one that gives Super Good Advice. Super good advice may have simultaneously the easiest and most tedious quest sequence ever, the first leg involves searching random loot chests on mars until a special weapon part finally pops out of one and The last leg then involves kill 500 hostile mobs with machine guns. also, I bought an exotic engram from Xur and got a really badass looking chest-plate for my hunter. it's got a gold wolf head sculpted on it. I also bought the matching exotic rocket launcher he had. :edit: so scratch that part about being increadibly tedious, I got the part I needed after two crates...
  2. finally found a picture. damn that's creepy: :edit: seriously, the moving puppet-faceplate on MP-01 was such a strange gimmick.
  3. I don't think you understand the definition of the world fact. You see, that's not a fact, that's a opinion, and no mater how strongly you feel about it, it's still an opinion.
  4. wasn't that also the case with MP01?
  5. so an observation on starting a new character in destiny. For one, it's a strange experience having crap guns and crap armor again. it's weird having death be an actual possibility against a level 3 boss. also, am not sure if this is another glitch, but I've got both of my subclasses available to use at level 3, is that supposed to happen?
  6. yeah, that didn't make sense even when I was 7. Apparently it was originally intended that a pack of raptors had managed to get aboard the ship, and they were supposed to be the ones that killed the crew. at some point though the raptors were cut, and it left a giant plot hole behind.
  7. I've been mildly interested in checking it out specifically because of the fan service.
  8. I loved the second Jurassic park movie. I liked the first one more but the two of them were my favorite movies when I was a kid. I've probably seen both a couple hundred times each.
  9. I'm not sure if you're talking about a super obscure movie or if you're just getting the title wrong.
  10. But we're not talking about realistic or practical designs here, we're talking about fictional sentient robots from an 80's cartoon show for children. The only thing that matters is "does it look cool." And to that I say, no, having a giant head sticking out of your alt mode does not look cool, it looks stupid.
  11. I feel like the cave in the cosmodrome is still easier, and involves less death.
  12. The X04's were a little tight at first, but after wearing them for a while the foam in the ear cups started to soften up and they were getting really comfortable. If TB will pay to ship them back and forth I'll send them in for repairs, if not I don't think it'll be worth sinking any more money into. No kidding, I bought this current pair to replace a broken pair of X12's. they still work but part of the headband cracked, so they don't sit right on my head anymore and fall off constantly. I decided to give the XO4's a shot since they felt sturdier and better constructed than the X12's. Stupid me I guess. Anyways, I was thinking either a pair of stand alone A40's (no mixamp) or pair of Sennheiser PC350's. BTW, is the astro mixamp really worth the $130 and the stupid amount of cables? I kind of prefer just having a headset with a single 4pole 3.5mm headset jack that I can plug into my controller and nothing else, but if the sound quality is just that amazing...
  13. So I had another headset die on me. the left ear went dead on my 3 month old pare of turtle beach XO4's. I'm not even sure if I want to bother trying to get it fixed/replaced by turtle beach. Any suggestions on how to proceed?
  14. I feel like in the future, once people start publishing extensive video guides on this raid and everyone has level 27+ gear from other means, completion times half of that will be more common. That said, I have a feeling less than 1% of all destiny players will ever actually finish this raid. Good news though, there's good loot after every section, so even if all you ever do is successfully get in the door each week (which sounds hard enough as it is), you'll still get some decent stuff.
  15. exact stats for the first two teams to finish: http://destinydb.com/news/posts/15-primeguard-clears-the-vault-of-glass-raid First place team: McTwidget - 27 Human Titan KingSmaals - 26 Awoken Titan Des_Waffles - 28 Awoken Titan FraserBaws - 28 Human Hunter nanowatts -26 Exo Hunter psx-Yoshi - 28 Exo Warlock They died a combined total of 1,606 times 5,733 kills happened during the clear An average K/D Ratio of 3.59 1,388 Precision Kills were performed Successfully ressurected another Guardian 166 times Their average lifespan was 2 minutes and 22 seconds Second place: Dattowatto - 27 Exo Titan Valkain_Prime - 28 Human Titan StrikerCodex - 27 Awoken Titan Furchten - 27 Exo Hunter ExpBountyHunter - 27 Human Hunter KrazeyKracker - 27 Awoken Warlock They died a combined total of 1,855 times. 7,363 kills happened during the clear An average K/D ratio of 4.11 1,694 Precision Kills were performed Successfully ressurected another Guardian 319 times Their average lifespan was 2 minutes and 3 seconds. and a text guide/walk-through for those wondering what goes on in there: http://www.gosunoob.com/destiny/vault-glass-raid-guide/ and BTW, this is a 65 point achievement in game: http://www.xboxachievements.com/game/destiny/achievement/89505-Flawless-Raider.html bungie=massive trolls.
  16. I'm only at like 3/25, but it's pretty easy since I can just play devil's lair on lvl 8 over and over. you won't be able to start the crucible component until you talk to Xûr, the exotic item merchant, who should be back Friday morning. :edit: btw, did you have to beat the weekly strike mission to complete the first part of the bounty? I'm not sure If I was reading it wrong, they nerfed it but didn't change the text, or if I somehow managed to glitch it, but I managed to clear the first part without actually finishing the weekly strike. I started the weekly strike with a group, but we couldn't beat it and decided to give up. From there we jumped into the lvl 22 strike playlist, and got put into a normal version of the same mission. We beat it and the second we killed the boss, the bounty popped.
  17. it has been done, the first fireteam to complete the Vault of Glass raid. It took 11 hours, 5733 combined kills, and an estimated 1600 total deaths. And that was on normal mode. https://twitter.com/Bungie/status/511972115776425984/photo/1 well played bungie, well played.
  18. I've always been bothered by the lysine deficiency thing. As a kid I just didn't see how it would be a workable solution given their current situation. Then as an adult I learned that Animals don't naturally produce lysine.
  19. Access to their guns and armor basically.
  20. 1. ten rare fusion rifles isn't all that hard, that's like an afternoon of grinding at best. 2. I didn't even realize you could max out on glimmer (turns out I have, hurdur). in that case go spend it frivolously on crap. buy a few ammo synthesis packs, you can never have too many on high difficulty strike missions, and they'll eat up that money quick, or buy a snazzy clock or something.
  21. hehe... oh, speaking of easy to get outside the map and die. I've seen at least two loot chests spawn outside of kill boundaries, with one of them placed so it's impossible to get back out before you die.
  22. To add to your first point, I really appreciate how when it shows the bungie logo and title screen, it does it in a way that doesn't involve audio playing 100 times louder than the rest of the game, trying to obliterate my eardrums because I'm on headphones. Also, guess who has all legendary gear now? that's right.
  23. You have a random chance of getting them every time you turn in a bounty. The first one I got was from a Vanguard bounty, this second one was from a Crucible bounty so all bounty types seem to work. Also, the second time it came up, I could only choose between the two remaining ones left over from the first time. good news though, I should be able to have full legendary armor as early as Tuesday night. :edit: This new one, "Toland's Legacy," sounds a bit easier, but more of a grind than the other one. I need to complete 1 heroic strike, complete 25 regular strikes, and kill 10,000 points worth of people in PvP. and I'll get this sucker:
