The Mandalorian - Star Wars webseries from Jon Favreau
Mog replied to SMS007's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Which leads back to my original question. I’m guessing before. Because someone’s not with “The Jedi.” Besides “The Jedi” has to still face the Balrog.- 1438 replies

SOC VV is a fun bugger to pose and has tons of accessories. It is smaller than the 80’s toy (but still winds up being significantly heavier). It does have its little frustrations, but the reviews here can identify the trouble/tricky areas.

I actually remember him more as the FBI son of Lt. Gee from Homocide: Life on the Street.- 1438 replies

Bringing back all the feels. Nice find.

I more impressed that they were able to pull off a decent capped and non-capped look with the same headsculpt for Lady Jaye. Not digging the look of Flint though. I get adding in the body armor, but I think the pouches in the belly area are too extraneous and unnecessary.

Answer? Favreau and Filoni have a better grasp of what makes Star Wars “Star Wars.” Plus, when you watch those Gallery/behind the scenes episodes, you get a sense that they really collaborate with their directors. The sequel trilogy lacked that collaboration, amongst other things they lacked.- 1438 replies

Head canon is a fun thing! Allows me to believe that Luke winds up with a Force-sensitive redhead, and let’s me pick and choose whatever elements from the EU I wanna keep.- 1438 replies

Well, I still haven’t watched TROS, especially after having to endure that ball of stupid called TLJ. As I’ve said before, I think Moff Gideon graduated from the Thrawn School of Competent Imperial Officers. Plus, I have more faith in Favreau and Filoni than I do Johnson and JJ.- 1438 replies

Decided to change up the display a little and pose out the individual lions: EDIT: And then change Vehicle Voltie’s pose just a little:

Can't think of another spot to put this, but I finally got to watch the DS9 documentary What We Left Behind. It's streaming on YouTube and Amazon Prime, both free with some ads. If you're a fan of the series, it's definitely a must-see. A lot of interesting tidbits (though some of it is stuff we've heard before). But you can see how much the extended cast and crew enjoy ribbing each other all these years later. Was definitely cool seeing Ira Steven Behr, Ron Moore, and Robert Hewitt Wolfe breaking in an Episode 1 for a hypothetical Season 8 (set 20 years later). Don't agree with all the ideas they tossed out there, but it would have been an intriguing start. Also kinda got sad whenever they showed footage of Aron Eisenberg or René Auberjonois, considering they both passed about a year after this was released. Lastly, make sure you stay for the credits. I'm sure it was a planned bit, but I found myself completely agreeing (and getting slightly peeved) about all the things that weren't included in the documentary.

Just make sure our girl's bike and armor are a nice deep red. No hot pink! The Houquet Rouge are a reasonable bunch, but should not be trifled with.

So, watched/caught up on The Expanse. Took awhile to get into it, but really good world building and fleshed out characters. Definitely wanted to see a few a-hole characters get wiped out/put down. But overall, just a bunch of interesting characters and dynamics going on. Considering I semi-binged, I’m curious how Season 5 will feel if they release eps once a week. And since I didn’t see it posted here yet:

Never imagined these two songs would blend well together, but they do:

@monkeyface really nailed it with this post from a year ago. Fixing the angle and lengthening the end of the hip guards could go a long way to improving the look. Plus, it doesn't help that the bellyplate that becomes the hip guard is yellow trimmed, while the bellyplate that connects to the backpack is grey trimmed. Makes the separation way too obvious. The old prototype had about 2/3 of the bellyplate becoming hip guards and 1/3 of the bellyplate becoming backpack; I'd rather the proportion be 3/4 hip guards and 1/4 backpack. But the "monkeyface" tweak below works too.
