Just tore through the latest batch of eps. At this point, you kinda know what to expect. Still a fun and enjoyable experience with a lot of heart. However, there were a bunch of moments prior to that that just worked for me. They know the characters at this point. Will be curious to see how the final eps close the series out.

Which scale and version are we talking? Because I could have swore Yamato did one in 1/48 scale. And I know for certain there’s a Yamato 1/60 Version 1 of Max’s DYRL 1A (got it sitting up in the attic). EDIT: My bad. Didn’t see we’re talking about the 1S, not the 1A.

The latter. From 2 years ago. Other than some minor misalignments, this was a prototype I could get behind. Doesn’t take any oddball liberties with the design and looks like an improvement over older releases.

Dust maybe? My Rey’s got a little bit of dust on it. But both of mine have been sitting inside a glass case for the majority of time I’ve had them.

Hasbro TVC Updates: * Jude Law’s character from Skeleton Crew; * Re-release of Doctor Evazan (aka “We’re wanted men!”); * ESB Snowtrooper (looks like they went really off-white with the jumpsuit parts 🤷♂️); * Sabine with Howler (new swappable helmet and cloak); * Ghost Haslab to ship around December timeframe.

Interesting collection, but there's a ton of other songs of his I would add to that playlist. Gone too damn soon.

I could see using 3D printing to aid me in making more 3.75” customs. And it probably would aid in designing sculpt and articulation. But painting (especially detailed markings and faces) would still be a challenge, as well as acquiring the right soft goods. At this point in my collecting phase, it’s just not cost efficient for me to get a 3D printer. Got a few projects lined up, but I know I’m getting close to wrapping up the collections.

Finally got to watch Oppenheimer. Interesting how Nolan framed the narrative. Definitely made me want to learn more about what actually happened, just to see what was artistic license versus historically accurate. One amusing personal bit: right before the big Trinity payoff, of course the stream decides to conk out on me! 😅. Stupid internet connection!

Us knuckleheads in the US wanna watch Macross, even if they just give us the tuna head (instead of the whole tuna). Instead, we get the irradiated carp of nothingness and are told to enjoy it. -
And only one of those can probably hold a pose solidly, right?

Dusty as hell, but still been holding the crown of best Alpha-Beta/Legioss-Tread combo for the past decade and a half: Wonder how much longer it will hold on to that crown.

And no explanation of where the series may show up again? 🤷♂️ Kinda defeats the whole purpose of having a streaming service, if they keep removing content.

In this day and age of instant news, it’s crazy that we’re only finding out now. Always remembered him as the dad from Good Times.

And I think we can all agree they made some horrible design choices with the Alpha: diecast in all the wrong places, whatever disintegrating material they used to make the hands, the brittle/refuses-to-stay-together-with-crazy-glue “material” they made the hip joints out of, and the banana boat fighter mode a few were cursed with. Just to name a few. The Alphas were also always tricky to pose nicely in battloid mode and weren’t exactly the sturdiest of toys.
