Ok, interest seems to have pettered off here but I press on. I have textured almost everything now except the little bits and the tails, which i will work on tomorrow, after my date, though hopefully not, any thoughts? Also, any takers on what squadron i should dress it up as, pick a modern military squadron, I am leaning towards the Puking Dogs or Jolly Rodgers right now, maybe the Red Rippers.

Probably a low level assignment for screw ups escorting a scientific expedition, you know little chance of enemy activity allows the commanders to instill extra discipline. Instead they ran into some trouble and Isamu proved that while he is a reckless pain in the neck he is also a great combat pilot.

Duke please don't say such things, I want to see the battle bad, and Anakin to be totally darkened at that point, irredeemable, and sent into the lava by a swift kick from Obi-Wan. Now Obi-Wan diving after to save his friend I can except, but not Anakin hanging on with any kind of self redemption.

Looks a little cartoony right now, but the texturing process should fix that, on the plus side you can really make out the panel lines.

Update time, if anyone is still interested. Basic untextured, uncolored, unmarked textures are applied to check for fit. I should have a few basic textures done tomorrow.

Very nice, though it still lacks a pilot, the leg extension pistons, and the shoulder impinges on the wing in Gerwalk mode a couple times, plus the control surfaces are completely inert. Other then that it is great.

Ok, the panelling is done, and I have cut it up for texturing. I have to make a few tweaks to the engine nacelles and missile pods but once that is done I can start into texturing full bore. Also, I have given in the temporary vandy-1 treatment to make sure the cuts are correct for texturing. Let me know what you think.

Update time: I finished paneling the dorsal fuselage, will start on the ventral side tomorrow since I have the day, gotta love being a federal employee, lol. I also had to turn off the lights, not uncommon when I go into the detailing process. For some reason AUTOCAD hates it when I start detailing and I invariably have to kill all my lights except for ambient if I want to render. Of course I can put the lights back in later no problem, the biggest pain here will be remembering the positions and values, especially on the cockpit glow light.

the thing that I always thought was strange in the DoD (original and remake) they are there for a couple months right? Well after a month or two of exposure to the elements a human corpse will be pretty badly decomposed, why do we not see that? Heck in the remake all they really had to do was to wait it out for the dead to be too decomposed to move then leave. Oh well I guess that is what happens when I input logic into the equation, lol.

Underwing hard points, sorry they are a little hard to see.

I redid the wing panels, altering several of the wing panels, and adding access ports as well as hardpoints, plus I paneled the dorsal fins.

Ok, been a busy week, but today I panelled in the wings. I think I may have overdone it a little, but I still have to add in other sundry bits to the wings, fill ports, hardpoints, etc... If you have any comments I appreciate them. I will start on the tail surfaces and fuselage tomorrow. Then of course I will have to start texturing it.

Really, where did you hear that it's only going to be 12 episodes, oh wait, its coming on midseason, bugger. Of course sci-fi runs seasons wierd so that might not be true.

I am currently without cable as well, and other then having to wait a few days, or a week, to download shows I don't mind too much. Really the only channels I miss having are the discovery channels, TLC, and to an extent the Cartoon network, since I can never find the Adult swim shows for download anywhere.

Man the thing is fugly and the design makes no sense what so ever, I think someone designed that while on some seriously good crack, the same stuff George has been smoking.

Gott im Himmel!!! I agree it is probably the rarest of the rare Macross items, but nearly $700 with two days left, that is nuts. To the members who have them, how much did you pay? Of course I hope to someday find a beat up and abused one, where the stitching has started to go, then take it down and hove someone make patterns from it before repairing it. Imagine, custom Macross VF-1S plushes, lol.
