I'm an OG G1 die-hard...but I feel like it's time to move on and establish a newer, richer cast of multi-faceted characters and an internally-consistent universe. And for the love of God, make it a universe that doesn't revolve around kids! I give every TF series an honest chance, but I keep returning to G1 simply because none of the follow-up series released thus far has captured my imagination in any compelling or lasting way.- 17850 replies

I forgot about this one. I love that "The original battle machines!" is/was trademarked. I suppose this is a good example of "everything old is new again."

A couple sites identify this as a model kit. https://www.facebook.com/suprememecha/posts/news-kits-mospeada-gsc-moderoid-genesis-climber-vr-0527f-mospeadadetails-tbaaaro/982634653867997/ https://plastic-model-republic.com/product/tag_page.html?tags=913&p=1

"Please, Sir. I want some more." I really like its stripped-down design, even if it looks just a bit stumpy in these pix.

Many thanks for the offer! I'll keep it in mind if something happens to one of my orders.

What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v4.0
26662 replied to wolfx's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I had a lot of hope for it. I might try again some day when I’m ready to concentrate on the plot. -
I just watched an 11-year old YouTube video of someone building a 1/72 Legioss Fighter model kit. But what caught my eye was a comment that described a Monogram model kit of Go-Bots Leader-1 that was based off the Legioss. I figured the commenter was full of it. Nope: https://www.ebay.com/itm/296133515473?chn=ps&google_free_listing_action=view_item We have definitive connections between Macross and Transformers and Mospeada and Go-Bots. Anyone know of a connection between Southern Cross and another IP? The Mighty Orbots? 🙂 I was aware of the Cy-Kill/Cyclone model kit, but somehow the Leader-1 escaped me.

What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v4.0

Oof... Star Trek: Discovery. I felt that. ST:D needed better storytellers (and they shouldn't have stolen the entire water bear/warp drive story line), but more to your point, Soniqua-Green can't act. She was terrible on the Walking Dead and she showed zero growth on ST:D. -
I'm gonna run with this idea and add a dash of GI Joe. I'll create two fighters with complementary color schemes and call them Xamot and Tomax.

Shoot. That’s too bad. I like their complementary colors. Made me think we were a couple years into the war and I was seeing fighters that had been cobbled together using parts from totaled mecha. Actually, that gives me ideas!

Grabbed this image from AnyMoon (https://anymoon.com/blog/?p=13609#more-13609). If this isn’t a prototype or test shot built for promotion, anyone know what became of this one? Love the color scheme.

I don't disagree. I see the legioss/tread as a package deal, and I'm afraid my dissatisfaction with the MPC legioss portion is what's responsible for my negging the MPC tread earlier. I should've recognized the MPC tread's merits on its own. Fair point. 🙂

I've had mine for over a month now and I still can't get over how amazing this figure is. And for less than $200: The price doesn't make any sense to me. I'd buy a couple more to customize if it weren't for all of my other preorders. Edit: Belay my last. BBTS allows for pay later with a small deposit so I'm going to pick up a couple more. If I let this figure/deal escape me, I just know that I'm going to be kicking myself later when I'm paying the late tax.

Finally! I have been waiting ages for this. I tried to order this and a couple other figures from this line last night but had to ask KC for help completing my order. "Thank you for your inquiry and interest in our products. May I kindly request that you separate this into two orders? Each order has a weight limit, and exceeding this may result in difficulties with order processing." I appreciate the prompt and kind note. Splitting the order allowed me to complete the purchase, but ouch, those shipping charges are painful.

Ordered all of the KC figures today so I'm going through the older posts to get caught up. Unfortunate camera angle here: Max looks like he's about to give us a pole dance.

Dang. This will be painful. I probably have 2 dozen items on preorder - some have been on order for 1.5 years or so. I can see myself getting fed up with the extra fees and canceling orders.

I probably didn't scroll far enough back. Do you have pic from a different angle? Maybe the front? It's hard to appreciate it from only this angle.

Related, but unrelated, I've always viewed the legioss-tread as a singular mecha owing to the fact that my introduction to both was a piece of artwork highlighting their union. Is there an official term for their combined form? I'm drawing a blank. And what do we call multiple legioss fighters? Legiosses? Legiossi? My mind's ear is begging me to use the term "alphas" because the formers sound so strange. Questions inspired by my friend Jack Daniels.

I don't know, Shawn. I have a hard time picking a favorite. All of mine are in remote offsite storage so I don't know if I've got complete sets myself. I run a manufacturing LLC on the side, and at one time I thought to reproduce these kits (with important improvements) just for myself. Still haven't gotten around to it yet. But my 3D scanner is at the ready when I finally resume the project.
