I'm definitely checking mine later today. How could this have escaped my attention? I'm not a fan of paint-on-plastic, so this would have disappointed me to no end if I'd noticed it.

Same here. This means I have in-hand a Tread w/o a matching Legioss. 😕 Anyone interested in a MISB Tread? PM me if so. [I can’t recall if the Tread came sealed or not. Either way, it’s never been removed from the box, and it’s been in a climate-controlled storage until since delivery.]

I was afraid of that. I was hoping to suss out the valk's shoulder assembly status w/o transforming it just in case I decide to sell it MIB at some point. I guess I'll just list the pauldrons' assembly as "unknown" if I ever decide to sell it. It sure is a pretty valk, though.

My Lucifer just arrived. Are the shoulders assembled incorrectly on all of the revivals? Can one tell just by looking at the underside?

My Nemesis Prime shipped today. I was getting concerned that Mattel could/would possibly run into some issue and have to cancel my order.- 17760 replies

Mine shipped today. Honestly, I don't even remember ordering it. 🤪 I didn't realize so many of you had it in hand already. Appreciate the heads-up regarding the pauldrons.

Same here, but only if we're talking about current products. I want the crossovers to continue because I love their creativity and I hope that eventually Hastak will surprise me and produce a product that better aligns with my design sensibilities and interests.- 17760 replies

Hate to admit this, but it looks like something you'd see at a Halloween party.- 17760 replies

Taking a closer look at this again: Strike Valkyrie? Unrelated, your flooring looks like mine: narrow oak from the 60s. Crazy-good quality, but are they ever creaky after 60 years of foot traffic. One day I’ll brave the crawlspace no-see-ums and fasten them more securely.

Hate being a Negative Nancy, but those cassettes... Oof! It's as if Hasbro is testing the degree to which collectors are willing to embrace material and design reductionism. Scoop these up and this process will shift again into another higher gear.- 17760 replies

I asked Toynami about the 1/55 re-release announced at this year’s SDCC. I’ve attached their full response. 💯💪❤️🚀 [I have no clue what hidden meanings are assigned to emojis by kids today, so forgive me if I’ve chosen poorly. I have no plans for world domination or any other such nonsense.]

Did you swap out the VF-1A head from an Origin of Valkyrie Max Super, or did you go the longer route and paint a VF-1S? If the latter, that's an excellent color match.

Deja vu. Figured I'd go for 3 - one for each mode: Car, Bot, Retirement Fund. Color me surprised. Maybe Mattel realized they left gobs of money on the table with the Prime release and decided to produce more units this time?- 17760 replies

TY. From @Perxion’s photo alone I couldn’t figure out how everything mated.

I’m pretty certain I can fabricate those connectors. I’ll PM Perxion and see if we can work out something.

😀 Phenomenological experience is my answer as well, but I think psychology outweighs stature here: in my memories, my 1980s TFs are magnified in scale simply because it reflects their relative importance to me.- 17760 replies

Got my ML Sunstreaker and Cordon today from ShowZ. First impression: am I on crazy pills? These guys are tiiiiiiiiiiiny! For some reason, I expected them to be ~50% bigger than they are. Time and unfamiliarity playing tricks on me.- 17760 replies

Stellar! And I say that as someone who’s working - oh, so slowly - on my own design.

2 from me. It’s Takara so I’ll need them in hand before committing to buying more.

I like what Toyrise has done to the rear of the cockpit. The official design has always looked awkward to me. I already put my Sentinels in storage, but I think I recall there being a giant opening (in the one unit I inspected) at the rear of the cockpit instead of a solid panel. That's nonsensical if I'm right. I need to take another look at them.

The forearm gaps offend me, but I can fix those. I really like the color scheme. For a couple years now I’ve been toying with alternative palettes the would befit bases established on others planets. You know, headcanon stuff. This palette would go well for Neptune Base.
