    On the fora, that 35 is hailed as accurate, huge, and well built and painted. It’s awesome. I didn’t grab one - I want a 27 myself - but I am getting HM’s new 117 next week. I’ll report if you like.

    And how much kibble is still visible in fighter mode. This is the best 2SS effort yet, but it still doesn’t fully capture the sleekness of the design. It’s possible there was just too much anime magic to ever fully realize it. I do appreciate the engineering that went into the hips and legs to get them all where they need to go. Full marks for that.

    Kawamori seems to not WANT to nail certain things down to specifics. Is that correct? If it is, do you think that’s because he didn’t want to be bothered, or because he’s trying to give himself wiggle room for future ideas?

    What’s the point of the R? In reality, an R designation and grotesquely long wings mean high altitude long range recon. But the 31 is a damn SSTO spacecraft already with nigh-unlimited range anyway. Again, what’s the point?
