I was finally able to secure one of my grails: the Carousel 1 FW 190D-9 Barkhorn type. It’s a beauty!

A broken hard laser is so easy to fix that, as curses go, it’s really mild. Look at the VF-25, which had an entire generation of crap Chogokins come out, that people paid for, and then Bandai mad the Renewals, which people had to pay for again. THAT’S a curse!

Bandai also gets the benefit of being talked about on fora, keeping their name and products in the forefront of collectors’ minds. Rolex is currently doing the exact thing with a few of their stainless steel watch models, so that a particular model that MSRP’s for about $9K can’t be found in an AD for that price; one has to go to the third party sellers and pay almost 50% more, or even higher. Insanity.

Nope. You’re forgetting Bandai’s economies of scale, and the fact they undoubtedly own their own factory or two. Arcadia, Evolution Toys, etc. cannot match that economy, and so their products cost more. I’m not saying they don’t overcharge, but they can never be as cheap as Bandai can choose to be.

Again? They just tried this with the F-X and it was cancelled due to cost... then they wanted the F-35 and I thought that was it... now they’re trying again? Source please?

Which is why we have many failsafes and backups for the C3 system. Granted, most of the people in the order of progression are still all within 6 miles of each other or so, but that’s the price you pay. As for Star Wars: I still like it.
