  1. So it's neither Gundam nor 3rd party at this point, but it still started off as a 3rd party "metal build"-ish figure and was discussed here so... ShowZ shipped out my CCS Toys Gurren Lagann today. Can't wait.
  2. FWIW, on Maou Gakuen, as of the end of this season, it'll be at roughly ch 115 of the novel. So it got massively compacted.
  3. Could always use Museum Wax as well. I keep a jar around to keep my stuff from slipping off of the shelf.
  4. I hereby dub the knock-off Chunkies: The Junky Monkey.
  5. I am most interested in the gimmick added to the arm for securing the buster rifle so it doesn't sag.
  6. Notorious? Probably the wrong word to use, given the negative connotation...
  7. Picked up a couple things today from other members. A Master Made Makuros from @Arthurius, and a custom re-painted/weathered VF-1S Roy w/ SSP from @RedComet I think Kakizaki's a bit annoyed at being upstaged and having to share his Detolf shelf.
  8. Pictures out for the RG Zeong and RG Zeong Effect Set.
  9. Not particularly, that whole segment was about the aftermath of war, not fighting it.
  10. It's not his, it's a reeeeeeally old Engineer joke. I'm suprised you've never heard it before, it's all over the internet. https://www.amazon.com/Optimist-Glass-Pessimist-Empty-Engineer/dp/1081889462
  11. Eh, if they had a production run with set quantities that weren't met, it wouldn't have gone to sold out at all. It is possible they're changing the ration between the standard and PF versions though, based on pre-order numbers.
  12. Who needs to re-watch? We all remember it in glorious imaginary 4k, exactly as the Saturday morning we watched it. Even aside from anime magic, nothing will ever match perfectly just due to people asking that it matches their memories rather than the actual on-screen images.
  13. Either that or they sold out and had the opportunity to increase the production run.
  14. Looks like: https://www.taghobby.com/archives/480027
  15. If you can find one without cracked shoulders, you can keep them from cracking by just replacing the pin.
  16. The fact they can only sell domestically is probably hurting, aside from the big expensive stuff like Chogokin, most of their stuff is marketed internationally now.
  17. That does seem a bit high, even for Australia.
  18. IIRC there was a prototype VF-19Kai HMR at one point.
  19. I do wish Microsoft was a bit better about letting us turn things off. I understand that most computer users are idiots, and the OS needs to be idiot-proof, but god-damn is it annoying sometimes how little control you have even under the "advanced" options. I really don't want to have to edit the registry to do things, but if they make me I will.
  20. Btw, both of those are also up for pre-order on the P-Bandai US website: https://p-bandai.com Just in case it's cheaper shipping/untaxed for someone.
  21. It shouldn't matter too much, unless you want to display it naked next to another white Valk. Mine's currently sitting in front of my SDF-1 with Armor on, so all is good. As an aside, posing this made me really appreciate how much better the DX poses. The heavy GBP was probably not going any favors though.
  22. Ok, so after doing some side-by-side comparisons, it does appear the 1J has a small amount of red in the white. These images are not retouched, under 400Watt equivalent of Daylight LEDs, no other lighting. "Camera" is a Samsung Galaxy S9 on default settings, DX VF-1J, Hi-Metal VF-1S, Arcadia VF-1J, and the Three Zero Ingram (since it's the whitest thing on my shelves) Bookshelves are Ikea Billy, which are pretty neutral white. Also some printer paper from Costco. The color difference is much more noticeable when compared to the grayish Bandai offerings or the Ingram than when the Arcadia is by itself.
  23. Interesting, I've been waiting to pick up the Mercurius and Vayeate from the US site, but this might get me to go through a proxy instead.
  24. Yeah, for a shoulder something more like the ratchet above makes sense. I was thinking more for the fingers where there's not much volume available.
