  1. First Asia, then the world (hopefully).
  2. As long as they don't pull a massive PR bungle like Blizzard and the NBA, they should be fine.
  3. PV for the Dorohedoro anime is out. The CG doesn't look that bad, thankfully. Still a bit too clean when compared to the manga's grungy visuals, but that's to be expected. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ry-jzv18fOY
  4. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n9CsQWT1cTM&feature=youtu.be Well, this is a welcome surprise. Hiroaki Samura's manga about a talk show radio host is getting an anime. The VA for the MC matches my mental image of the character quite nicely.
  5. Where did you find a subbed version? When I first wanted to watch it something like 5 years ago, I could only find a badly degraded rip of the dub VHS.
  6. I assume you watched the English dub? Hearing a Rush song in an anime was a trip, although it fit the scene quite well.
  7. The flower girl is great though.
  8. When the staff are passionate about the game, a lot can be done on a limited budget. I get the feeling no one at Bioware cares about Anthem to the degree that Project Aces cares about Ace Combat.
  9. https://www.dropbox.com/s/4q3lhs1nr5cyhw9/Kanno_Regarding%20AC7s%20Revolution%20of%20the%20Sky.pdf?dl=0 Translated slide presentation created by Masato Kanno (art director/mechanical designer for Ace Combat) on the effort went into creating the clouds and weather system in AC7. Translated by Taskforce23 on twitter.
  10. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XGJa5fkOWB4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLvXs7sIHaw DLC trailers are up. We're getting the first mission this month.
  11. If your in the mood, Yakitate!! Japan is another good food-orientated anime.
  12. We've got a name for the Boeing/SAAB T-X. The new trainer plane will be called the T-7 Red Hawk, in honor of the Tuskegee Airmen.
  13. Yeah, it is. Military aircraft with colour schemes that aren't just some variation on grey make for a nice break from the usual.
  14. I would say the real reason no one wants to work with HG and the Robotech brand is the simple fact there is no money to be made from it.
  15. I recall one of the FCAS mockups having a V-tail set up. One of MHI's concepts for the F-3 also had a distinctly YF-23 look to it.
  16. That's quite literally the playbook for the USAF right now.
  17. On this day in 1990, the YF-23 PAV-1 took its first flight.
  18. Japan is about to greenlight the successor to the Mitsubishi F-2 in 2020's budget https://headlines.yahoo.co.jp/hl?a=20190821-00050130-yom-pol "The government has entered into final adjustments in the direction of recording the development expenses for the successor aircraft of the Air Self-Defense Force in the 2020 budget. Aiming for Japan-led development, development costs are currently estimated to be more than 1.5 trillion yen. Aiming for introduction in the mid-30s when the retirement of F2 begins." "In the government, considering the deterrence to China that strengthens marine advancement, the successor plane is the first domestically produced stealth fighter, and a plan to achieve high air combat capability is promising. There is also a plan to equip a long-range cruise missile with a high level of anti-ship capability. The deployment of about 90 aircraft similar to F2 is assumed."
  19. Call me a sucker, but I'm actually cautiously excited for the new Call of Duty. They've done a lot to revert the gameplay back to the old Modern Warfare titles, and they've gotten rid of the obnoxiously cartoony art direction of the Black Ops subseries. The Gunsmith feature in particular looks really cool, but I love customization options in any game (in general).
  20. Nothing wrong with a well done English dub.
  21. So, Sonoda just updated everyone with the new, planned for release date of the short. Can't wait, for this and for the GSC BD set coming very soon™. https://twitter.com/Anime_ProjectBB/status/1161882357487398912
  22. Well, it helps that the C-130 has been a major export success for Lockheed, which is why the tooling and manufacturing lines have been kept warmed up. Compare that to the A-10 (sole operator: the US) and Fairchild-Republic(which hasn't existed as a corporate entity for years).
  23. I went to the Abbotsford Airshow last Saturday. Unfortunately, the day I went it rained and the Thunderbirds cancelled their demo. Was pretty bummed out, but I still got to see some USN Super Hornets and an RCAF CF-18 stretch their legs. Man, movies and videogames don't do the sound of a proper low altitude high speed pass by a jet fighter justice, feeling the vibrations rattle the insides of your ribcage is awesome.
