Yeah, I think the pacing of a week or so per episode, when you don't know what's going to happen next and can't wait for the next episode gives M7's progress a different perspective. The main plot point (the Varauta and Geperenich's plan for the Spiritia Farm) make it obvious in hindsight, but going through the first time it's not nearly so obvious.

Once I figured out how hide the hole in the knee joint, from the old YF-21 thread, I had no problems getting the belly plates closed... is the backpack supposed to go down flush, though?

There definitely is, but I rewatched discs 1 and 2 of my AnimEGO SDF:M this weekend and there's an awful lot of recycled footage there, too. I think part of the point of the early going in M7 is to hide important details amongst the mundane without making it obvious like some serial shows do.

Most important is to look at the numbers. There are twice as many Tomahawks as there are Valkyries on the SDF-1. So of course, they're going to go down in great numbers... I'd be very surprised if we saw twice as many Tomahawks get blown away as CF VF-1A, though.

Looks ok. I'll probably pass on it initially, but could get into the line if I see enemy mecha. Regult and Q-rau at a minimum.

And VF-11C. I believe the next new Yamato 1/60 will either be VF-17 or VF-19 Kai, followed by VF-19F/S repaints. VF-19 gives Yamato more models... Before that they could do a few more repaints of the existing YF-19 mold, too (VF-X VF-19A, if not a low viz and one or two other non-canon schemes). I know I'll have a hard time resisting the sky blue Ravens VF-19A (still love the color on my 1/72), even if I most desire a low viz.

I at least want to see boobs. Then I want a low Viz v1/Mac Zero style pilot for my stealth/low-viz VF-19A and VF-22S "Have Glass"

Good idea. I always thought there should be a short-range light valkyrie in the style of the F-16 with an F-22 style transformation (the single thruster becomes a backpack). It would be pretty small, as valks go, probably VF-1 sized, but would be a post Macross 7-era tech fighter (basically using some of the lessons learned from YF-23, but not the full bore that VF-22 got).

When I heard about the v2 Yamato 1/60, I was sure they'd eventually do the Low-Viz... I was hoping they would do the 1A and 1J... if/when they do, I'll get a whole team (4: 1xJ, and 3xA). Include gold/tinted canopy please... VF-1 "Have Glass."

lol, I think watching a planet get ripped apart and sucked into a black hole would much cooler... for the same reason that airburst nukes are more effective than letting half the blast get "wasted" into dirt.

Why did the Romulans have to dig a hole to the planet core again? Would the black hole still not suck the planet it if placed outside?

I can't think of many valkyries that don't have bulky enough arms that you can't do the Yamato YF-19 hand transformation on... simply flip that sucker around and make it a basic fist with a hole in. Include optional posed accessory hands, if they must but the basic fist capable of holding a gunpod is a must.

The deleted scenes are nothing special. The Klingon thing, in particular. Hints of the ridges and all that, but why did the interrogator speak so well? That's not Rura Penthe... looks like the engine room of the ships.

I definitely don't cringe at this being redone. The original SFX have aged very badly. I absolutely hate it when they mix up the Greek and Roman names, though. Pick one or the other, but not both. If you're using Zeus, it better be Heracles. Hercules is fine if you're using Jupiter... Odysseus would need to be done around a proper reworking of the Trojan War. Two absolutely vital aspects to that are 1) the long sense of futility: needs to at least be a trilogy of just the war. Then at least one movie, if not another Trilogy of Odysseus just trying to get home. Then another movie on Heracles. Then another on Perseus. etc etc

Any luvk on VFX2 or low viz scheme VF19 or VF22, Graham? Any chance Yamato can add locks to future VF22 rear landing gear?

I thought Ray would be considered elite since he was in Pink Pecker with Kinryu and Stephen.

I could actually envision something like Max/Milia (or even the NES version) as something playable inside a Macross space in Playstation Home. Hopefully Bandai will do it! I have a JPN account.

Wal-mart would probably be my choice. Gimmick cases get old fast, especially one like that unless you're a die hard trekkie.
