Kingdom of Heaven was far better than I was expecting. About on par with Gladiator, though better on the actual history (which was a pleasent surprise since one of my favorite areas of history is the Crusades and I've most of the classic sources -Runciman, etc near memorized and on the shelf). As far as AvP. I want it like a porno: right to the action with minimal (if zero) attempt at "plot." Just get to Aliens and Predators eviscerating each other with some hapless humans caught in the middle (and preferably shredded).

Have a Qui-Gon Rubies, one of the cheapo non electronic Qui-Gons and one of the Darth Maul Hasbro. Got all of them on clearance a couple years ago. I'd like one of the Master Replicas but will probably never spend that much on one. Got various parts and tools to make one for halloween a couple years ago, but never got around to it. Been using the dremel on other stuff, though.

That is a good special effect. I watched that 5 or 6 times at least. For all you Aayla fans: "134 EXT. FELUCIA-FOREST-DAY A column of CLONE WALKERS marches across the forest floor. The STRANGE CALLS of the alien forest creatures of FELUCIA suddenly stop. The Jedi AAYLA SECURA and her CLONE TROOPS brace for an ambush. AAYLA: Steady. . . . steady . . . They all look around for signs of the enemy. CLONE COMMANDER BLY moves up behind the Jedi. AAYLA: (continuing) Bly, do you think they're Droids? BLY: No. BLY blasts AAYLA in the back. The OTHER CLONES fire on her as she hits the ground. Another Jedi, BARRISS OFFEE, is cutting down a patrol of DROIDS when a CLONE WALKING TANK and SEVEN CLONE TROOPERS round a corner and blast the Jedi away. Ouch.

Oh yeah and IIRC the A-wing gets taken out in Executors explosion in the novelization. Clip looks great.

Kirk is the man. Bags an alien babe in nearly every episode and it wasn't comedy to watch him do it. The only time Picard grows a pair is when he's going Ahab. Stewart is a better actor than Shatner, but Kirk is a better captain than Picard.

I'm more for the "that's always been Lucas corny sense of humor" but rather than having other people "saving" these mistakes, Lucas was simply putting other people in charge. Screenplays, Directing, etc. The Prequels has been all George. Regarding Vader's "struggle," without hindsight it's only really apparent once Luke starts throwing it at Vader in RotJ. That's Luke's theory for not killing him in Ep 4 and why Vader was "toying" with him in Ep 5. Both Obi-Wan and Yoda disagreed and were training Luke to take out Vader and the Emperor. Vader himself disagreed... right up until the point he picks up the Emperor and tosses him down into the pit. As far as whiny kid... like father, like son.

In the novelization, Sidious tells Anakin that he killed his master once he learned from him how to create life. As far as the "balance" of the force, it's not about numbers of practioners. A properly trained Jedi always acts with the balance of the force in mind. Think of them as conservationists. The Sith, OTOH, care nothing about balance. They use the force to augment themselves. Think of them as polluters. Sidious is the ultimate polluter. He's been casting a pall on the Jedi, "clouding their vision" and weakening their ability to use the Force (as both Dooku and Mace Windu say in AOTC). Check the databank entries on the official site for the entries of the Jedi and the Sith for their histories.

It's interesting to see where they might be going... That said, it would have a better story if the Matrix movies were more open ended and left a war with the machines. SWG has straightened out most of it's early issues. I don't find any great imbalances remaining (though there's plenty of room for expansion) and await the Combat Upgrade with trepidation... Hopefully it's more "twitchy."

MP Prime is mediocre as a truck IMO, but is damned near perfect in Robot mode. Basically the opposite of the Alternators / Binaltech. Hopefully one of these days, there will be Transformers that can do both...

Women belong in the kitchen, not in fighters. Well Jessica Biel belongs in my bed. We definitely need more movies like Predator, though. In my experience, engineers are great at engineering stuff, but not aggressive alpha male types that are the stereotypical fighter jock nor even the types groomed by the USMC or USN... or even the USAF. That plane looks ok. Not the worst design, but not the best either.

Yeah you can pick cockpit view if you want. It's called Galaxies because there are different "galaxies" based on different servers.

No, my Xwing is just extremely modified (texture kit, souped up and modified engines, weapons, etc). I was going to do a paint kit to blue (Max style), but have just left it that dusky red (Milia style). When I first got it, it looked straight out of the movies. Kinda like: (well that one has boosters and the third set of weapons both mounted on the wings, but close enough in engines, weapons, and paint scheme).
