  5. sorry guys I have been real busy with the real life and all the Sh1te it can bring. I was toying with putting a 1/48 Yamie head on but now after palying some more with the head It originally came with Im gonna stick with it. In the spar time I have had I have mostly been adding to the head to bring it into shape and experimenting with the Eye and how to make it and get it to stay put. Theres been a whole lot of subtle filling etc on the head with when sanded back down looks like you did nothing. Other stuff has been fixing defects on one of the lega and a bit of damage (i did) on a wing. The most alarming thing I have noticed is some shrinkage on some of the filled areas. Ive used Tamiya standard and Mr. White Putty on this and some parts are fine others have shrunk or cracked. Interestingly the areas I used Automotive polyester filler on are fine. I`d use it more but, the only trouble is it takes longer to do with that stuff as you have to mix and apply, and it gets really messy quickly. As you can expect theres no point in me showing any pics as they would mostly be of bits you have already seen in various states. More pics as soon as I have things to show that are worthy.
  6. Yeah I agree This is one that Yamato should do if they can. Even more so as no one else has.

    Missing Wing Part

    Thanks
  8. The fact that you made it speaks volumes, but the paint looks good to me.
  9. IIRC Tamiya did similar things with theirs too back in the day.
  10. I agree having rewatched them all recently I realised how bad they were at times, some of this was down to the original source material but mostly due to bad scissor work in the V.T room at HG

    Missing Wing Part

I know its not gonna help but how`d you loose it. Im just thinking that if you can then theres a good chance I could too.
  12. They kinda define the style of the era too. In a similar way to how everyone wants there MP3 player to look a llittle like the IPOD in some way or another, nowadays. Theres probably a better Anime related equivalent.
  13. Too true Ive seen some really crappy recasts, some that would have been better if they just poured the resin into a box and let it set. That said some are as good as the originals.
  14. I wont have it British cars are top quality better than even the Japanese [attachmentid=40613] ERMMM Maybe not then (changed to get rid of slow download link)
  15. Handy tip
  16. Well I saw most of it last night and it was a lot better than i was expecting. at times the animation was a bit flat and some times the VA didnt seem to but up to scratch but al in all not sp bad. Fairly standard good triumphs over evil Robotech stuff. On par with other newwave American/Korean stuff. Remember this was concieved about 5 years ago so its already out of date before they realeased it. At least now Robotech is going in its own direction and can be considered as its own entity. I just gotta get me a copy of it now so I can see the whole thing dam stupid corrupted bittorents. Well I guess its off to the Animecornershop.com for me, I need the next Planetes box set anyhow.
  17. Hey they look alright. Are the little doors on the right the correctish scale ?
  18. Yeah back in the day when I was sponsered by my local Modelshop the Hasegawa catalogue never even showed Macross stuff we had to get the Japanese one sent to us via "contacts" to show all the kits and stuff available. they aparently have a special one for the west.
  19. Hell back in the day using a spray can on something so small ended in a wasted can of paint and a sploggy undetailed run encrusted mess.
  20. Thanks for the info, I was wondering that myself
  21. Having bought his last two I can say that providing he keeps adding to the 1/72 range, I wont be so sad if Hasegawa dont release much.
  22. Thanks for the correction Leathal Weapon crossed with the Waltons. Hmmmmmm Mel Gibson in Dungarees and driving around in a Ford T police car, "oh my gosh Mary Ellen its the bad guys" That would be funny Gloucestershire lovely place one of my favorite counties.
  23. Ive always liked Gray on a Valk.
