  1. I don't care about extra hands. In this case, the stock articulated hands are excellent.
  2. Nice, I still want one of those Cosmo Fleet SDF-1s but I think I'll just hold out for a bigger, better one to come someday. @sqidd psa, I a have a feeling you are gonna want this. https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/B07YV3YPM7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  3. Yeah, the thing is a pita! I might end up gluing parts on but I really don't want to do that either.
  4. If you have $5k to spare or want to negotiate, I say buy this man's collection NOW!
  5. Well, when I said best toy ever made, I meant the original Takatoku versions or the later Bandai reissues. Jetfire was great too but there were a few things inferior about it. Mainly, it didn't have swapable canopy with heat shield, just the clear canopy as you see in the pic above, the nose was blunted I guess for US safety laws and the gunpod also doesn't come with projectiles that you could shoot someone's eye out with (that damn US saftey law again). If you can, try to get some copy of this toy, even if it is Jetfire because it will let you understand and appreciate the greatness of Macross and the VF-1 toy even more. Like I said, it is s till my consideration of the finest toy ever made to this day.
  6. Yeah, Macross SDFM came out in 1982 with Takatoku VF-1 "Chunky Monkey" toys at the same time. Hasbro bought rights to existing transforming toys to create Transformers. Most of them were from Takara but the Jetfire toy was from the Takatoku toy design. Many, at least I consider it to be the finest toy ever made.
  7. Smart move with the light covers. I'd recommend getting the headlight covers too. Hell, I want to clearbra my entire car but it's so expensive!
  8. So this talk got me to try to take some pics of my desk fighters. The F-14 fell 4 times off that stupid Flightpose stand and all the hardware on the bottom of the plane fell off multiple times just trying to set this up.
  9. That's exactly how I use my CW/Flightpose stand. I added thrust effects to cover them in this pic but that's how it works.
  10. So basically CW stands suck across the board? They are lovely models but between the fiddly parts and stands, I'm not motivated to buy anymore than the one I have. Even though the KC 1/72 Valk I got recently isn't the greatest, I think it is an incredible value in comparison to CW. For slightly less, you do get cheaper materials but a paintjob that is very comparable and the thing still transforms.
  11. Wow, I thought CW had a new design for flight stands they were using for the F-14s at least. The Flightpose stands completely suck for these (and most other toys) because of the weight of the diecast. The pads have potential to remove paint so you need to cover them but then they might lose grip if you use something like tape to cover them. I’m not sure what would work for these VF-1s unless @ChaoticYeti makes an adapter to use with his stands. The only way I got the Flightpose stand my F-14 came with to hold somewhat securely was by inserting two posts directly in the thrusters and the other to support the model vertically. Luckily, I like it that way but might not be possible with the VF-1 thruster design.

    1/48 decals?

Oh, I didn’t realize you were printing these with a white printer. I pm’d asking to get a file that I could just print on white decal paper. I’d be into buying white printed sheets though.
  14. Probably since it is something I have done. But I find as long as things are sealed and boxed up well, the whole temp thing doesn't make a difference to my collection at least. I've had stuff stored all over the country in different temps and see no difference in them. Isn't that version Skyfire or did they have to change the name again?
  15. Don't panick. Dispute in order of the connection, which is eBay, PayPal, CC. You will most likely get it taken care of in the first step when eBay sees the seller is gone.
  16. All good! That's probably part of why they were designed that way. At least one type of head is gonna appeal to everyone and best case scenario for them is collectors like me who like and want them all.
  17. I've grown to really like the 1A head. Probably because most my collection is of the 1S and 1J heads. Something about that big lens and unicorn laser is a nice change.
  18. Hahaha, @Kuma Style has sold me on tons of stuff from watching his videos and pictures.

    1/48 decals?

You might be able to make your own or request a scan to from this thread: I'm interested in some scans to make my own waterslide 1/48 decals.

Uh, that seems like a pretty reasonable thing for a company to do. Lol! Economies of scale!
  21. Nice! I've mostly avoided mainline TFs because everytime I give one a chance, I'm pretty disappointed with how lackluster they are. Getting them on discount definitely helps because then at least they seem more in line with the perceived value of what you paid for. That Skyfire does look pretty good though, especially with your eye and backdrops.
  22. Did you feel dirty or unsatisfied with it? That’s the feeling I get with almost every Transformers figure I buy. Even MP. Yet I still keep buying them. It sucks that the HasLab Unicron made it because yep, I ended up buying one at the last minute just to not miss out.
