  1. If I were you and you can place an order that says they will ship, I’d just do it. Worst case, they don’t ship and you get nothing but if you don’t order you definitely get nothing.
  2. Quoted the most important part! I'm to chicken shi+ to come that close to dying so I stay away from bikes. Senna...the Man! Watching him drive is pure art. Back to the 51, I'm glad it seems like any fear I may have should be fixable now. There is probably still another month before I get mine so will see how it goes.
  3. Pretty much. That's the risks of doing business and purpose of insurance for them.
  4. Yeah, the numbers are undeniable. I just can’t get past Ford “quality”. I owned one before and there is a night and day difference. After driving German cars most my life, I just can’t settle for less. You are paying for something with that premium and the way I get around it is by ALWAYS buying used. My mechanic is one of the best Porsche trained technicians in the country and he takes very good care of my cars and I am happy with what I got.
  5. Good to know about the Legioss but I’ll just wait for Sentinel. My general policy is not to settle by paying anything for sub par products.
  6. It doesn’t make me feel better to hear about anyone getting screwed. It sucks!
  7. Yeah, I know those SVTs are in high demand...hell, you get a lot for your money! For the kind of cars I like to buy, you need to get into the top tier models that cost at least twice as much as any Ford SVT and you still might not get Brembos and Recaro seats! Ford definitely stepped their game up and included some desireable parts that they know car enthusiasts care about.
  8. ET official quality for these seems worse than typical KO quality. My buy limit is around $50.
  9. Do it! We need to see your pics!
  10. Yeah, but in Bandai’s case it is more about maximizing profits than manufacturing scarcity.
  11. Capital One, HSBC and Discover are the ones I know of. With Discover, take note of what I mentioned with them and PayPal. Well, I was unfortunately one of the .1%...and got screwed. This was before I learned about the technicality. Lost about $500 and it was ironically, with a US based company. F’ers!
  12. Thanks for the additional details to help out! I’m not so sure about Discover...in my experience it doesn’t seem to give you the option to pay in anything but USD so you are automatically getting charged PayPal’s conversion fee. ALSO, I forgot to mention another layer of protection through PayPal in case @sqidd or anyone did not use a credit card to pay. If you dig through PP policy, there is some part that says sellers cannot charge you for something that they can’t deliver within the 180 day limit. If you get into trouble, contact PP CS and refer to that policy and they should refund you based on that technicality.
  13. The availability of Max is most likely just showing how small the Macross market truly is. I doubt they are making significantly more compared to the 1J. If anything, they probably made less. This is why people always bitch at Bandai and ask why they don’t just make more so everyone can easily get their Valk...it’s because the market isn’t that large and they would rather sell out than have product sit on shelves. The overall Macross numbers are so small that Tyne difference between a more popular model versus a less popular model is significant in comparison with the overall stock. The thing that is certain is once stock does eventually sell out, the people who missed out will be subject to higher price from those holding and willing to sell theirs.
  14. Nice info! If I need to do the same, I’ll ask them to toss the parts in one of my many shipments that come from them to avoid additional cost, if possible.
  15. Ok, coming from a very bad experience with another retailer, I have learned a lesson and have the solution. ALWAYS use a credit card to pay through PayPal. By doing this, you are protected by your credit card company and not just PayPal’s 180 day limit. Problem solved. When buying from Japan or any foreign country, it is always best to have a credit card with no foreign transaction fee linked to your PayPal account. When it’s time to pay MAKE SURE you choose that card AND that you are paying the foreign currency amount. That way, your credit card company will handle the conversion and you will get the current rate with no fees. If you let PayPal convert, you get their ~3-4% conversion fee (that they say they don’t charge foreign transaction fee but it’s built into their unfavorable conversion rate, same as if you let the retailer convert for you and pay in US Dollars).
  16. Left one is my most recent Yamato purchase, right one is my most recent Macross period. Good to have another M&M pair!
  17. A different set of M&M
  18. Yeah, I almost just bought another one of those Low Vis'...Love that thing! Ironically, my two latest 1/48 aquisitions.
  19. Yeah, always pay later when preorder madness is going down.
  20. Cool! Yeah, I got the HW bike for free with the Monstewr Truck purchase. I think The Truck itself was on sale too.
