    Yeah, the big reason I got back into collecting in the first place was because of 3P. I didn't care for most the designs TT was coming with in their MP series but 3P dragged me in and here I am today. I barely care about TF anymore because I got most of what I want and can just sit back until somone makes the last few characters I want to my liking, Jazz and Galvatron. After looking at both Unicrons again, I think what they have proven to me is that neither are good enough. I want Zeta bot looks and features, Hasbro planet mouth fuction and size. And someone can deliver all that at a lower price, I'm sure. One thing I definitely don't like doing and really don't do is settle. There are too many choices in the world to spend money on to settle for something not good enough. People will say there are already options for Jazz and Galvatron but not for me...those existing ones don't make my cut. Same with all the Seeker options so far.

    My first F-18. I swore to only stick with F-14s (have 3) and A-10s (just have 1) but other models would depend case by case. This F-18 makes the cut. Glad to hear you like the Venom. Mine is on the way. Mafex will be my classic Venom, Amazing Yamaguchi will stay on as my later, crazy monster Venom.

    Sorry, I'm not sure but you can look for something like methacrylate. When I bought mine, it was Pledge multi floor care and it said "With Future" on it. I think they have changed the packging since.

    You like big stuff right? You absolutely NEED the HMR Monster. It is an SOC level toy in build, quality and size. Just happens to scale nicely with all your HMR Valks and Mecha.

    Really? I haven’t been paying attention to the whole thing but after I heard about the Zeta Unicron, I thought it looked better in many ways and had a few better features minus the working mouth in planet mode that Hasbro has. Zeta is also a lot smaller. Looks like HasLab has stalled even with the extension. At this point, I actually hope they just fail.

    Maybe some bluetac under the feet will help you get a hangar shot? Yeah, I’m thinking Gerwalk may be my preferred mode for long term display. Partially because it is rare to have an armored Valk that can transform with armor on.

    So I got this thing Unfortunately, this is the Mafex I'm more used to expecting. Basically, lackluster. It almost feels like KO quality. The joints are poorly designed and not very effective, the whole figure feels cheap and easily falls apart when you try to use almost any of the supposed articulation. Positives are the paint application is pretty good and the wired cape is nice. I also like the comic panel accessories but think I will end up using the stands for those for something else. I got this as kinda a test to see if I would want more Mafex figures in the future and if I was basing it just on this, the answer would be no. Luckily for Mafex, I got their Spidey figure before this and that is better in almost every way so I guess I'll keep my existing preorders for the other comic Marvel and Batmans. Venom is on the way so hopefully that will be better too. Good thing is I have a character that is unique and not available from any other line. I'd be pretty pissed if I went for the regular Gwenpool since that would be one case where I think I'd rank the ML version higher than the "high end", cost three times more version.

    To me, the hip issue and what you had to do to fix it was way worse. Basically, you had a non-functioning at all Valk that you had to do major surgery on to fix. This issue can basically be ignored if you just use the double hinges to align the feet. Seems like at worst, you might have to sand two parts that you can't ever see and glue them back together. Either way, it's wack.

    I'm just gonna point out that the 0A and 0D had far worse issues (maybe just IMO) but that didn't hurt the value of those much. I won't see my 51 for a while since I shipped it via ferry but already expecting to get two left feet and no reasonable way of rectifying it. I hope it all works out for me, lol.

    Yeah, I wouldn’t hesitate. There have been several that were preorder madness levels where if you slipped, you missed. Granted the markup may not be much or at all after release on some, you are guaranteeing preorder discount price if you are on the ball.

    The key ingredient is acrylic. If you get an acrylic based polish, including nail polish, you should be good.

    Only time I’ve dealt with AmiAmi for defective merchandise, they treated me kindly, sent me a new figure and covered all the costs.

    Nice to hear they are trying to do something about it! While the mistake was made by the factory, it is the company who ordered the job's responibility to check their orders before accepting for shipment out to customers. That whole process is even explained by Mr. K. Factories are capable of producing the greatest or worst products imaginable...it all depends on the company that hired them for the job.

    Considering the recent publicity regarding Japanese companies trying to stop Chinese buyers from buying up their stock even though most their stock is made in China, I wonder if there is some behind the scenes payback going on. It makes business and strategic sense. If someone is going to come to your country to exploit your workforce and then discriminate against your buyers, why wouldn’t you do anything you could to take advantage of the situation on your end? By lowering the perceived quality of Japanese products (made in China), the same factories or related can make KOs that become comparatively better values. Just a thought to discuss or not.
