  1. If Bandai was trying to limit stock to charge more based on aftermarket, they didn’t have to set msrp at around 19,000Y. Of course they used the separate missile and SS pack to gouge a bit but still, everyone was surprised and praising Bandai for the low msrp. It’s all a matter of business and we’ve even seen proof that Macross isn’t a big money maker for Bandai so it seems pretty clear cut to me. Anyways, nice clean shot of the 1J @Kuma Style!
  2. Nah, I think it all has to do with making more profit selling other stuff. The Macross market is much smaller than we all here like to imagine it is. In the end, only Bandai knows but I can tell you if I ran a business where one franchise isn't even in my top 10 profit making ventures and my limited resources dictated I chose how much of what I produce, I would make less of the stuff that barely creates a blip on my profit charts.
  3. Thanks! It looks like you got some more toys to enhance your toy photography. Really nice! I had no idea you sold your 1J, I thought you loved that thing?! Glad you got another and seem to be getting the Max 1A shortly too. Can't wait to see what you come up for that one.
  4. Yeah, I just buy now ask questions later.
  5. Speaking of which, isn’t it completely unheard of for a TWE to be reissued? I don’t count the fast packs since that seems more like an extended run but they just announced another release of missile sets.
  6. Looks like you got your answer. It was a weird release as TWE usually stay open for months and this first wave lasted days. The second wave is more like it.
  7. No, they’ll have us “banging on their door” with money in hand begging them to sell it to us and they’ll be like, “nope, preorderes are sold out”!
  8. NY still has it available at their original price but it is the later batch as any you find will probably be. https://www.nippon-yasan.com/figures/28386-super-dimension-fortress-macross-dx-chogokin-movie-vf-1-strike-super-parts-set-limited-edition.html I ordered some from FromJapan before NY reopened so I might order some more from NY at some point, lol.

Yeah, that’s how I see it too. I can appreciate each one for what it is and have no need for one to match others. That’s why I don’t care if some are PF, weathered, different shades of white, rainbow canopied or from different makes. They all have their appeal to me and look good together. The only thing I do like to do is keep similar scale together and that’s mainly because I can because I have so many of each scale. Right now, my most wanted Valk from anyone is Max’s 1S. Hope HMR comes through. Also love to see more 19s and 21s.
  10. True. There are probably some that fit but I haven't tried. I figured someone else would have by now and we would all know about it but I guess not.
  11. Some more of the KC VF-1S I posted more impressions in the multi scale thread. Overall, I can't say it is money well spent but I don't regret it and it is nice to have such a good looking VF-1 in 1/72 scale.
  12. OK, messed with this thing a bit more. So, my cockpit LED doesn't work. That sucks since it is one of the premium features that is supposed to set this toy apart from others. The gunpod led works as seen in the Gerwalk pic. The deco is definitely sharp! I really like the overall look of this thing. The paintjob and detail are the saving grace for this figure. Other than the looks, the thing feels like a clunker compared to Arcadia or Bandai versions. The gun looks chibby..nbd, the intakes don't tab very securely in Gerwalk mode or fighter but figeter mode is fine since everything else tabs in nicely and holds it all in place. The stand is a very stupid design and basically just props the toy in all modes including fighter which is the only mode it is designed to really work for. Gewrwalk mode is basically garbage with the limited leg articulation and unsecure intake tabs. The shoulders get in the way of the wings but not so bad because you can move it around to get it working for whatever you need. Again, I wouldn't say money well spent but I don't regret the purchase at all. It's nice to have an overall decent 1/72 Valk for someone who is a huge VF-1 fan and collector and it really does look fantastic.
  13. Yeah, one of my favorite artists so I’m happy about the release. There are also Captain America and Thor figures based on the same artist. The Iron Man also comes with a classic smooth face and Stark head but I have a Mezco that I like a lot more that has that look covered.

Yeah, I was going to pass on Minmei but I was prettey impressed with Hikaru so I was itching for an excuse to order Minmei since. Some people on another forum posted this Black Valk and discussion ensued, leading me to impulse purchase this whole package along with the T-Shirt not pictured.
