  1. Sometimes I feel like I’m the only one here who doesn’t have the source material on while I’m playing with my toys to compare and then nerd rage when I find something that doesn’t match perfectly. I love anime and I love toys. They are two things that can be related but don’t have to match perfectly for me to enjoy either.
  2. Damn it! Oh wait, that’s the Revo version. I missed that one too but I was thinking of the Sentinel at around 5x the cost https://www.amazon.co.jp/-/en/dp/B084XL9J1Q/?coliid=I26U3E1A3IVHAH&colid=20P3B16Y46QMH&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it And probably smaller...
  3. Yeah, I like the recent resurgence of Nausicaa toys and I got the Sentinel Ohmu but not the hebikera yet....The Sentinel pieces are super expensive as usual and not sure if I can justify the cost for it. But I want it!
  4. Haha, and I just mentioned that waiting isn't in your vocabulary. I think there is a limit to Ferry insurance but I never pay attention to insurance. You know me, these items are basically "black market" in the sense that they are not supposed to be available to us to begin with so I don't expect much service. On the other hand, I also don't live my life by worrying about other people doing their jobs right. If I had to do all that, I'd rather just not deal with any of it to begin with. Basically, I expect that manufactures manufacture properly to a certain standard and shippers ship. If for some reason, they can't do their jobs right, that's what credit cards are for. The ultimate "insurance" for any purchase. Luckily, I rarely have to go that far. In my experience, buying from domestic shops, even before Covid, means you get Japanese releases several months later.
  5. Some shipments that went out right at the beginning of the lockdown took 3 months. My most recent shipments arrived right at 2 months. Before Covid, 1-2 months was normal and often closer to 2 so it seems like at least based on my few shipments that it is getting back to normal for Ferry shipping times.
  6. Yeah, the Gold was an exclusive. I don't know how hard Revo exclusives are to get historically, but I know I had some time to think about it before I pulled the trigger on the preorder. Again, I'm glad I did it.
  7. Waiting isn’t a thing when it comes to @sqidd But that’s exactly what I’m doing.

    Hi-Metal R

I think Macross in general is not a big seller for Bandai especially compared with some of their other properties. I’m extremely happy to be getting what we have so far.
  9. Thanks! Like I was saying, I hope so as far as getting more! I do have this one on the way to me too.
  10. Now, this figure is nothing short of magnificent! The sculpt and finish...OMG! I was going back and forth on getting the exclusive gold bodyguard version but damn am I glad I did not skimp myself. Revo keeps on impressing me as one of the best in the game and I hope they keep giving me classic characters like this and their Marvel AY line.
  11. Got this thing during a sale to check out. Mainly, I’m obsessed with and a sucker for any toy or replica Cap shield that is made of metal. This “Chogokin” line always sparked my interest for this reason alone so I had to bite when I saw at a pretty significant discount. Well, the shield is plastic so there goes that. The figure itself is not all metal either but I wouldn’t care if it was all plastic as long as the shield was metal. Anyway, now I have another Cap figure to display somewhere but I won’t be buying any more of these things.
  12. It's a bit ironic that the recent convo started with a post about a great deal and how the prices seem to be going down on these and now it turns into the prices are climbing? I haven't really researched pricing on these much other than I bit when the Angel Bird and CF were announced. I still stick to not wanting to pay more than $100 for a KO VF-1 with S/SP, PF or not.
  13. Haha, nice! I checked my attic out recently to see if it would be good to store things. Besides being pretty hard to acces, it was like a suana in there so I opted out. I don't even want to store empty boxes up there let alone ever go back up there again if I don't have to,
  14. I'm getting real tired of people trying to confirm colors over inconsistently calibrated monitors, lighting, photos, etc., etc...
  15. Yeah, those kill marks are pointless to me for the main characters. They would run out of room after one battle, especially Max.
  16. Haha, it's not too bad and they have great deals on KO and 3P stuff. They are my go to spot for KOs and 3P actually. I always try to buy as close to the source as possible.
  17. They are going to make I guess is more accurate unless someone knows different and got theirs already...
  18. Got Beach Head and gave him some proper weapons. He thinks this one suits him best:
  19. Yeah, definitely a good price for what you are getting. I have to problem with KOs but just don't feel like paying more than $100 for any. I'm still waiting for my CF and Angel Bird KOs to arrive.
  20. That's getting close to my buy limit price.
  21. Haha, nice! That probably wouldn’t even be that hard to do.
  22. Jeez! You have a walk in freezer you are storing your stuff in?
  23. Haha yeah. I have no idea wtf I’m going to do with it yet so I’m leaving it in the box for now.
  24. The Castle Grayskull? Yeah, it’s pretty sweet. Better than the main toy sets imo. Ironically, it’s the biggest building block set I’ve ever opened and put together and it’s not even “LEGO”. I do have a bunch of even bigger LEGO sets that have been sitting around in storage though. Edit: I take that back about “a bunch of even bigger LEGO sets”. I just checked and most LEGO sets I have still have lower parts count. Grayskull does include a lot of tiny bricks for the tops and some side parts but the only LEGO set I have that clearly surpasses it in parts count is the UCS MF.
