  1. Plus it's not all that hard: it's a fairly basic shape (flattened cone with 3 round engine nacelles), and shouldn't be too hard to make-
  2. Think they'll do a Gnerl fighter?
  3. Well, I foresee it heading to the "meta" section of Wal-mart's 5-dollar bin in electronics.
  4. When I did mine, I used a head magnifier and simply cobbled together several layers of plastic: After that, I made a cover by "heat and smash"-ing some soda bottle plastic over the end of a paintbrush handle: Looking forward to seeing how yours comes out, Tekering! Good luck!
  5. Agreed on all counts; I loved Rescue Rangers as a kid, and if this is a "love letter", then it must have been penned by the Marquis De Sade. As for Gadget and Zipper... just no words. That concept alone is pretty disgusting, not to mention... You know what? As far as I'm concerned, this "film" doesn't exist as far as I care, and it doesn't fit anywhere in with the series.
  6. Incoming PM...
  7. Okay, I gotcha; the "metal build" part threw me a bit. What I would do then is glue the plastic piece, then coat the metal pin with vaseline or chap-stick and insert it in there to form the pin hole without adhering the pin. Then when it cures, remove the pin, file the part to the original dimensions, then reassemble the piece. That's also a good idea; just use caution when doing this, as I've found it can change the dimensions slightly due to it melting a tiny bit of material and potentially shrinking the pinhole. You may need to re-drill the pinhole if that happens.
  8. Really liking your work on this, Thom! Very clean and an excellent job on filling the seams!
  9. Also, I recommend acetone to clean the fret and remove any residual oils.
  10. The kit staircase looks like it's a part of one of those inflatable bounce houses! Nice job on the PE staircase!
  11. Rolex...Relics... what's the difference? All your base are belong to us! Make your time!!
  12. I just doomed Earth...
  13. Permatex Plastic Welder; despite the name, it will bond metal quite strongly and very well, and it comes in black: I use it all the time on various metals, and it holds very well.
  14. Wow...that just reeks about the paint covering your pre-shading! One possibility could be to take a rag dampened slightly with thinner (or 91% isopropyl alcohol) and gently wiping it across the surface to take a little of the coverage away. I've done that with a few models in the past, with more or less successful results. This one seems to be intent on giving you grief; I'm hoping you can make it shine!
  15. Thanks! Working on more improvements as we speak (gunpod fire, for example); hoping to refine this even more!
  16. Likewise; he's doing his level best to not let this defeat him.
  17. Hey, just wanted to check in with you... how's your model going?
  18. Yeah; I recall the surgery injured his throat and damaged his voice, from what I understand.
  19. Hmmm... I wonder if they mention anywhere in the movie whatever happened to Cougar?
  20. Hmmm...someone apparently slipped Amuro some funny stuff before flight duty today...
  21. Now, just play this with the pics (and that sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet gif you posted! ) And it's all good for Memorial Day weekend:
