  1. That's the problem; initially. I wish they would have ran with it fully, as it would have allowed for a lot more, IMO.
  2. You have a good point here; those records would be pretty damning, not to mention long-lasting. So then by necessity, this would have to be a universe where Section 31's existence were not a well-kept secret. That would actually make a pretty good anthology series on TV I would think. And it would allow for actors to be replaced fairly easily as well as one-time and recurring roles by others.
  3. As long as the main bodies are in reasonable shape, the connectors aren't important. I'll probably rebuild them anyways to my specs.
  4. Now, have them do "YMCA"!
  5. I'm going to go with Seto Kaiba on this: I mean honestly: if Trek is big enough for multiple imaginations, then its' also big enough for multiple timelines/ universes. Trying to shoehorn Discovery into the Prime Timeline is just absurd (even in the face of my previous suggestion about Section 31). Debate is fun when done right; tempers and egos do not have to rule it.
  6. Actually, rather simple: submerge. People stop talking and forget once you stop showing up for some time. Then you pass into legend, legend becomes myth, and myth fades into obscurity.
  7. That's a neat idea, only I'm poor. As in: I'm so poor, I cannot even pay attention. So, unless someone's willing to buy it for me, finding an old junker at a yard sale or flea market is the best I can do.
  8. To be fair: maybe this is the reason they are so covert by the TNG era. They got lax after Enterprise and had to re-establish their "Secret Squirrel" status! lol
  9. Okay.... now i just need to fins a junker Vehicle Voltron combining set that I can kitbash and add insane articulation to. Y'know...to go along with my Lion Voltron.
  10. I noticed that as well; I'm wondering then if some type of latch could be worked into it that would be released when the motor started, and would be closed again when the ramp was drawn back up? Not sure how that would work, but just an idea.
  11. At this rate, they should just have Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer just tossing paper airplanes at each other.

  13. Sauce? Er.... jet fuel?
  14. Back from my hiatus. The following is a photo record of my latest project:
  15. Update: The Dougram project just skidded to a permanent halt; while working on it, my hand slipped off one of the parts as i was test-fitting the pieces for modification and collided with the main body of the mode. Upon impact, all the blue pieces disintegrated. Total Loss. Thanks for tuning in folks, but with the amount of fragments, I think this one is out of my hands. On that note: I'm taking a hiatus from MWF. Burned out, depressed and just hate life right now. Be back in roughly 6 months (more or less)
  16. As promised, pics of the Dougram as I got it: After doing an inspection on this and the Bushman, I decided to save the Bushman for later and focus first on the Dougram. It needs duplicates of the shoulder and arm armors, hip block, a new cockpit, backpack, weapons pods, pilot and new knee and ankle joints. Also, one shoulder was snapped in half, so I reworked that. Pics of current work: With the age of the plastic, trying to salvage the snapped linkages on the old parts was a major waste of time, so i removed them. I opted instead to replace them with clip joints from 1/144 Gundam kits (leftovers I scored at a thrift store) that would last longer and allow for disassembly without prying apart fragile glue joints. I took apart the remaining pieces that were glues, sanded and re-glued them, and will wash components when they are assembles as module units. The cockpit: while normally, scratching up a cockpit is a major hassle, the flat plates of the Dougram make this a lot easier: It's nice to have reference pics: (Pics courtesy of BigBadToyStore) Stay tuned folks...
  17. Is there any way you and Derex could carve up wood bucks and do a "heat and smash" of the canopies?
  18. Frankly. the Discovery looks like a hood ornament attached to someone's partially disassembled hard drive.
  19. Just took a look at the "issue 11" preview. Frankly, I think I know how Rick's eyes got burned out in the comic: he also read the preview.... O.o
  20. Okay, got this today: It looks like "Condar" from the "Robotech Defenders" line (Fang of the Sun Dougram's "Bushman" if memory serves). So...who thinks this model is doomed, and who thinks I can save it? Bets anyone? Update: I apparently have most of the actual "Dougram" model as well (will take photos in a bit); just missing the head and weapons amongst a few other things.. I'm going to see if I can scratchbuild the missing parts on each. Stay tuned...
  21. Sketchley, Devcon Plastic Welder works wonders for reattaching small pieces. You can even make parts from it; I've had to when something fell and the components vanished.
  22. Nice job! Though for some reason, i can imagine Han, Leia and Chewie outside discoing to those lights.
  23. Well, guess the stealth feature worked!!! Seriously, I reshot some pics with all the lights and lamps I could find AND a flash:: This one is with a lamp directly on the figure: And normal light: you can see the shadow behind the fig- Camera was on different settings: for the brightest ones, I had it on high ISO, while on the rest, I had the camera set for low-light. Maybe I should have used orange instead! lol That, or a lighter backdrop and broad sunlight (if my psycho neighbor lets me without trying to gnaw my leg off) Right...moving on to my next project, coming soon...
  24. My newest project, with some "backstory" to it: "Reporting as ordered, Sir." "I take it the techs explained the new suit to you?" "Yes Sir..." "You seem ...dissatisfied. Explain." "Sir, if this is supposed to be dual purpose for flight ops as well as SpecOps duty, armor panels are going to reduce the mobility and flexibility on both counts, and the suit's too damned...shiny." "Shiny?" "You may as well put christmas tree lights on it, as well as a bullseye on my ass, Sir." "You did read the specs on the light refractive coating? It may look 'shiny' to you in full light with the system off, but when active, it's designed to make sure you are anything but noticed, Lieutenant." "If you say so Sir. i have my misgivings..." "That's why you're going to test it out before we send you out there. As for those armor panels, those are to make sure you don't get anymore holes punched in you." "A little thin for that kind of protection, Sir". "Did you plan on standing there while they shoot at you, Lieutenant?" "Not particularly, Sir." "Listen to me Lieutenant; the situation we are facing is grave. You know what the Black Rose Conspiracy did the last time around." "I know all too well...the bastards almost killed me..." "As well as nearly took out this fleet. And seeing as we are out in the middle of uncharted space due to their 'escapades' with our navigation system the last time they reared their heads, the stakes are way too high. We need a combo of a Valkyrie/ SpecOps team that we can send in on a moment's notice". "I see. So, if we screw up, we're done. Right?" "You 'screw up', we're going to end up another footnote of a missing fleet, like the Megaroad-1. They don't particularly seem interested in sending a postcard back to the Unity Government to tell them they they took us out". "Don't you mean NUNS?" "Lieutenant, there are reasons I wanted to helm a New Macross Colony Fleet. One of those is that I really do not care for Earth's antics, let alone how they keep changing their minds on what they want the government to be called. I joined U.N. SPACY, not a convent." "Understood..." "Good. Report to Testing Area 3 aboard the UNS Sagan; you're to test the suit there and once you're done, make a full report. " "Yes Sir."
