  1. Okay folks; it's been a while (kidney stone, eye infection, had the kitchen sink thrown at me, etc...). Anyways, building the arm transform now. I tried JB Weld, but id just would not hold for me (cleaned the parts thoroughly/ degreased them, roughened them with sandpaper, made sure mix and temp were right and it didn't work.), so I went back to my old standby .Also, the upper shoulder/ lights section pretty much crumbled, so I totally rebuilt the shoulder area, and am reworking the transform for it. Once this is done, then it's just a matter of cleanup and assembly. Stay tuned folks...
  2. Maybe a good diorama would be to show a VF-1 in Battroid mode having done a faceplant into the flight deck.
  3. Okay, not sure where to post this, but wanted to put this up: This was built using a 1/6 figure, masking tape, matt board and wood: And this is a use I had for old VHS tapes: Stay tuned...
  4. Still trying to get my Imai/ Bandai VF-1S together: Just got JB Weld, but I should have gotten the Kwikweld version instead. Anyways, scrapped the original inner backplate and scratched up a new one. I'll be mounting the arm and chest joints to it. (Honestly, these days I wish I has a Yamato v.2 VF-1S, but income issues means even JB weld is a strain on the budget) Hoping to have this one finished by March....er...2025. O.o
  5. How about Yan Neuman Arguing with Isamu Dyson on the 19?
  6. LAST UPDATE: Okay, decided against putting a car in someone's window.; I finished as much detailing and last-minute stuff on this, and I'm just calling it "a day" on this piece": (BTW: "pbz-313" is what I use to sign my artwork; certain family members online really make life difficult for me) May not be the best work ever done in Macross, but I'm happy that it looks better than the stuff I've done in the past. Thanks for watching everyone, and thank you for the suggestions! See y'all on my next project!
  7. Maybe I should put in a car stuck in a window on one of the buildings Regults do funny things, ya know...
  8. No , just a smashed generic car. No particular brans. I may name it the "Mitsubishi Cannonfodder"
  9. Really thinking a boomlift for a diorama I'm planning...
  10. UPDATE: Did a little bit of damage to the buildings, faded the background a bit... and demonstrated why you shouldn't park your car anywhere on South Ataria Island: Stay tuned...
  11. Okay, another update: Still have to fade the background buildings a little more, but I think we've got a winner here. Stay tuned folks.... gotta decide what kind of car to squish here...
  12. Thanks for the input, no3ljm. the background buildings, those and the ship are going to be blurred out a bit more (haven't gotten there yet). As for the buildings in the foreground: they are behind the Battroid. If it were standing next to them, the Battroid would be only 4 storeys high! (the windows on the "glass" building are supposed to be double-paned). More stuff to fix, since the main image was flattened a while back. (maybe I'll throw in a wrecked car.! )
  13. Okay...time for a decision: I got the smoke in on the battle pod, and did a little bit of combat in the air in the background. That said, I'm wondering about putting the Macross in. So, here's both versions; I only sketched the ship in basically (as I'm not going to add too much to it unless I plan on going ahead with it). Option A (without): Option B: with) Let me know which you folks like better, and any other suggestions you might have!
  14. UPDATE: FINALLY got the other hand, some more detailing on stuff, and the Skull Squadron emblem on the heat shield! Stay tuned folks...
  15. UPDATE: Got some more detail done overall, namely the buildings. I removed the left hand "boxing glove" in preparation for the more permanent left hand unit. Aside from that, just tome minor tweaking here and there. Stay tuned folks...
  16. Gatsu, I gave you all the info you need. I'm not going to make any further replies in this topic, as I am not someone who responds well to "demands". Don't test my patience.
  17. UPDATE: Sorry that progress has ground to a standstill; I'm sill waiting on JB weld for this project folks. Hope to have some progress in a week or so. Stay tuned.
  18. Hoping to have more work on this done soon folks: trying to find a job, no one's hiring, money's short and times are heard so here's your-- ahem. ...VF-1S Valkyrie. Stay tuned...
  19. UPDATE: A little more work (and a fixed "UN SPACY" logo): More to come; stay tuned...
  20. Thanks guys! I really appreciate the input and complements. A little bit of an update here: I FINALLY gave Skull-1 a "hand" (ba-dum-dum-tish!). While the hand isn't perfect (it needs a LOT of work!), it's a start and I should be able to start on the other hand soon. I also got the handle to the gunpod started, and I wrestled with the intake covers; they still need some work, but they're a LOT better than before. In addition, I tweaked the head and head lasers a bit, and did some more work on the visor (it was bugging me). And looking at this: I need to fix the "U.N. SPACY" on the gunpod: it doesn't look right to me. I'll probably go in with photoshop and use the transform tool to fix it. No big deal, but it's been bothering me for a while now. Hoping to get to the Regult soon, and work some of the buildings a bit more. Stay tuned...
  21. Sorry about the delay folks; had some family issues to take care of (money's short, as usual). In any event, here's the latest progress: Still a WIP; lots of stuff to take care of. None of it meets my criteria yet, but it's coming along. Stay tuned...
  22. UPDATE: Almost done rebuilding the back, after getting a fresh tube of plastic welder (JB weld's gonna have to wait for now). I'll have progress pics in a bit. Stay tuned...
  23. Please forgive the necropost everyone, but was there ever any further progress on this one? (Inquiring pengbuzzes want to know!)
  24. Still working on this one folks; just taking a little break, as the heat and humidity here is just atrocious.I'll try to have some progress pics tonight.
  25. Definitely, NZEOD; after posting my WIP last night, I noted that and proceeded immediately to kill down the smoke: (Kinda looked like a cigar more than a gunpod!) Thanks for picking it up though; before posting this, I did go in and make a bit of a "lazy curl" as you mentioned. I really appreciate the advice on the smoke.
