  1. Another great set of figures, and made even better with your photography. I'm liking how prize / UFO catcher figures these days have generally upped their quality significantly whilst remaining wallet friendly.
  2. Watched this couple days ago. Going in I had near zero expectations on the narrative front, but coming out I realized I did have one - which is at least an expansion to the world building aspects like the 2nd movie. Instead, we got just one new tribe, and everything else remained the same. Felt episodic like one of the Saturday morning cartoons of the past, albeit a very lengthy one lol. On technical level it was great. The action was superb, easy to follow, and majorly elevated in 3D as previous which to me entirely justifies the ticket price. Sumptuous.
  3. Yeah I'm quite impressed with the HG kits, and I'm more partial to the simpler designs like the Barbatos as they can be posed easily as compared to say, a Freedom which really needs to be placed on stands at minimum.
  4. It's weird that there's all these faces suddenly showing up being mixed in with the official characters in the soldier range. Just confuses folks especially there's just so many variants now that are still yet unreleased. It would be better to clearly label them as a 'What If' range or something..
  5. Ah so what we have now is the minimal feature. I don't presume to know what the mods think, but I get the feeling if this feature could be entirely removed, it would. I do think the feature is ok as it is currently. Just using likes to acknowledge someone's post without necessary cluttering up the thread. Even though it's a blind system, I think many who have their posts liked can sort of tell who it is coming from given the small community here. Far as I can tell, most have been using it appropriately. I see there's also remnants of the reputation system, which can still be seen when one clicks on someone's profile. This rep system is tied to how many likes one gets in total across posts if I'm not mistaken. But I wager most here do not care about rep & likewise the like system since we are mostly beyond caring about social media aspects than when we were say, 10-15 years ago? lol. Well to be honest, the continued abuse today is not really intrusive in general since the likes are not immediately visible to most folks. Far as I can tell, it's being used mostly for self-aggrandization purposes. But sometimes it's used to gaslight other folks, by making the offender's own opinions seem very popular to other folks who do happen to check on this kinda stuff. Or occasionally abused to annoy other people, by clicking & liking every single of someone's post, no matter if it's just some blase post, for no other reason than I think to make that someone not being able to tell apart between genuine or trolling likes given the blind system. It’s incredibly petty, but I just find it amusing.
  6. I think admins can still see who likes what post, as part of the board functionality. I've also found the current like system a bit weird, but I understand the like system has been abused in the past by select members, and thus has been watered down more and more over the years. In fact, it is still being abused today lol, just in very sneaky ways.
  7. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays to everyone here. Here’s to more valks next year. Cheers.
  8. It is a ThreeZero.
  9. Just... wow!
  10. I don't actually connect with GL itself as I never watched the anime, but when I first saw the toys it strongly reminded me of character Bishamon in Capcom's Darkstalker fighting game. The demon torso thing is kinda cool, and I bet Capcom used GL as the inspiration for it.
  11. From CCS Toys? I love the paintwork on this.
  12. The visor actually looks like a Kai wearing a full-face helmet lol. Btw, the hips are not rotated upwards? Are they very stiff?
  13. And still available over an hour later!
  14. It looks quite large, perhaps more than a 1/48 F-14 it’s based on.
  15. Somehow missed this, & gotta these look fantastic! Am hunting these down now. Always loved the character designs in Ranma 1/2.
  16. Wow quite a bit SW goodness. I don’t collect but am enjoying the great pics of the crew & their ship.

    DX Chogokin VF-17S

This sort of reminds me of the time when toy companies will reuse character molds for other franchises, with bizarre results. Probably the most egregious for us is how Matchbox took the He-Man head and repurpose it into Minmei - really as wrong as it can get lol.
  18. It's just different ways of transforming the hips. On the right is the previously released Roy, with the Gerwalk joint engaged to give longer hips and more height overall. On the left is the new Roy with Gerwalk joint totally collapsed and lead her to believe it is smaller. Edit: In addition to the hips, the chest plate on the right figure isn't pushed down properly. Doesn't add anything to the actual height, but visually makes it look taller when comparing with the one on the left. It's the VF equivalent of puffing up one's chest to look bigger.
  19. Oh wow the new one is smaller! PO, err order cancelled.
  20. Seeing how ThreeZero's warranty policy require customers to bear the defective items shipping cost to them, it might be a good idea to purchase their stuff from local toy stores moving forward. In my case of the 1J arriving with a missing rear landing gear, it just so happened I procured it locally and the local toy store covered the cost of shipping the entire lower legs assembly back to ThreeZero in HK for repairs. TZ will cover return shipping of repaired item back to customer though.
  21. No idea how toy IPs work, but assuming Toynami goes ahead with their 1/55, won't it infringe Bandai's in some way?
  22. I guess the cramped spacing is very intentional then, such a Bandai thing to do lol. You could be right in that the spacing is what they have designed for the F/S, at which it might make more sense to just delete one hardpoint & space the remaining 2 out appropriately.
  23. Or it could just be Bandai started off the project using the VF-19 Advance files as the base & forgot to space out the hardpoints further like the YF-19. (pic from anymoon.com)
  24. Are these from Ahsoka? For some reason I totally checked out of SW TV-series after Obi-Wan, but now pulled back in after just concluding Andor.
