Spending what's left is easier on my conscience lol. It makes me think harder over which item to prioritize buying. That really restrains me from buying too much toys/books. At the end I realize I really didn't want or need some of the stuff on my wish lists so it works out great for me. -

I do that. I make a specific budget about 4 months in advance--I make sure I allocate money for food, phone bills, insurance, some savings and other forecasted expenses. The rest is divided among my various wishlists--toy wishlist, book wishlist, etc. The only problem is that my wishlists keeps on growing lol. Right now I got major expenses mapped up to the end of the year. Some months I project some savings, which can be useful for surprise announcements of new toys or just normal real life emergency expenses. But yeah sometimes I just overspend when I'm stressed But I don't use credit cards for that. -
Thanks! Might buy this with the RG Tallgeese when they both come out. Hopefully my meagre salary increase can fund this one.

Yeah I was expecting no money to be taken but since it was a debit card it was actually deducted and it reflected in my balance. Anyway I hope the balance is corrected by next week, or I'll be forced to try to contact my bank again. A debit card by another bank I used previously was OK since they correct stuff if you request by email, but this bank is a hassle because they want you to call and not email.

Question for those who pre-ordered VT-1 from CDJapan, was your order immediately paid for? This is not my first transaction with them, but it is the first time I pre-ordered something. I usually buy books from them that are already in stock so I expect it is paid for. I am asking because I advanced my budget for the upcoming HMR release to top up my debit card for the transaction. ^_^; They said the charge was just pending or pre-auth, but since I can't contact my bank right now to confirm (damn hotline is always busy), I thought of asking you guys. I don't have problems pre-ordering from HLJ since the same card doesn't show any amount to have been debited.

For me, I only cared about the regults...That's what I thought... Getting into this toy collecting hobby in addition to my book collecting hobby has made me seriously think about how to get additional sources of income. I wish I knew that priorities/hobbies could change the day I started my first job. -
They should get a new artist plus writer if Mikimoto can't release regularly. In this age of excess competition for our attention, there's no way that release schedule would meet great success. The output wasn't even that extraordinary in my opinion. I'm sure there are a lot of talented Japanese mangaka who need the opportunity as well.

I think they will start it off at the point shortly before Reinhard's fleet engages Wen-Li's fleet. And they already cut out a lot of exposition. Although I think old version handled it all well (I've watched the old series at least twice) -
All we can do right now is wait...and save up for it I've also wanted Yamato/Arcadia valks, but my experience with my lone 1/48 valk is, they're too big and I don't have the space for them. Even the DX Chogokin VF31C box is big already. So I focus on the smaller HMRs.

Actually I registered once to a Japanese forwarder before but they required identity verification, so I was turned off and never used them. Thankfully I've never had a must-have item that I needed a forwarder for. But you never know what new item will come in the future, that's why I was wondering about other people's experiences using proxy service.

Just watched this. I don't mind the CGI, I actually liked the updated graphics but... - Kircheis' character design has got to be the worst of them all. Doesn't reflect him at all. Kircheis' is awful for a main character. - The other generals' character designs were forgettable but I didn't think they were that awful since they're just side characters. On the other hand, Fahrenheit no longer looks handsome. - Reinhard's voice actor is so boring I feel sleepy hearing him. It's like he only has 1 emotion, the voice acting is not as expressive That said, the Free Planets Alliance is still incompetent as I remembered. The sequence of events as presented mostly followed the same pattern, but a few changes were done. I liked the scene that they ended with. The music well, can't really compare to the old but the OP is ok. The narrator/spoiler is also gone. Overall it's not bad, the new viewers who didn't see the original series might like it. Me, I'll watch as I am curious up to what episode I can endure until I lose interest. Though I really hope Reinhard's VA improves... -
I thought the original Gundam series was boring, but the manga at least looked interesting to me. The execution there was also better than Macross The First--Minmay showing off her legs is a cheap trick (I think). I didn't continue with the Gundam manga since I'm more of a Macross fan and I felt my money should be spent there more lol.

I just found out the Tallgeese RG is now releasing in April (https://hlj.com/product/BANN25740). I wonder why they're releasing it earlier now. I had penciled it in my June budget.
