    Due to my excitement over watching Infinity War, I completely forgot it's golden week for Japan. I ordered the Hikky VF1A shipment (together with the NT-1 Gundam) and I only realized my boo-boo after. Guess I'll have to wait a little longer for my shiny new HMR ^_^;

    Just watched episode 3, it's getting better. I still had problems with character designs--Oberstein looks like a serial killer, Annerose's eyelashes, but the young Kircheis and Reinhard were an improvement over the old anime. Even though the old anime had great character designs, they couldn't do the child versions right lol

    I see more people have been sucked into the HMR line, down the rabbit hole you go folks! That said I may have to wait another week before shipping my HMR valk. I'm expecting my robot damashii release next week.

    In retrospect, a CF was not really high in my HMR wishlist. But sh9000 has been buying every now and then and perhaps at the back of my mind I'm like, will there still be stock for me in case I change my mind and want one? He's enabling by example A bad influence on the wallet haha

    LOL I didn't know the Obari pose was a thing. He has this Robot Soul artbook that I would like to buy some day (after my other wants are satisfied of course). I'm not that into super robots so pardon the ignorance. (Now I got pose ideas ) I'm totally looking forward to Voltes V FA. There are other SOCs I am probably interested in (ex. Gipsy Danger) but SOC prices are usually out of reach for me. My focus is on Macross toys and I have space problems anyway...

    I wish Bandai would make the HG kits for the original Pacific Rim robots. Those had much more personality. But they'll probably finish the DX Chogokins before they release kits. I guess I'll have to wait...

    Jean and Jessica are such a tragic couple. But Jessica has more significance when it comes to the Alliance politics, so I think she'll get the screen time. Otherwise I don't know how they'll frame the turmoil/trouble in Alliance politics. Also I have no idea how that is described in the novels but I hope they show that instead of glossing over it in favor of shiny CGI space battles.

    I just finished episode 2. I was a little disappointed that Jean's death wasn't as theatrical as in the original version. Jokes aside, I think the adaptation has been ok so far. The only downside for me, are the voice actors and the background music. More excitement could have been generated if they just got the voice acting right, and a more memorable background music. Let's see what they do in episode 3.

    Where did you get this and how much did pay for it? I wish for the day stuff like this gets reissued (and in English if possible).

    Actually they could just hire helpers without us knowing, but Mikimoto might prefer doing it by himself. Regarding the output, I wasn't talking about the art. The art is great. It's just story wise it wasn't really that amazing that imagine a large number of people will consider it worth waiting for. What's the point of spending too much time on the art if the audience went away because they were tired of waiting for the next chapter? His effort is wasted if he's doing this on a whim but I'm sure he's not. I may sound as ranting please just excuse me, as a fan I just want the manga to succeed (I'm jealous at the Gundam fans). But I strongly feel that they need to improve the writing and sustain the regular release schedule. Otherwise, they get another mangaka or should just drop it now.
