Legend of Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These. Coming April 2018.

Yeah I know that happens to her, but I don't know if they will show it the same way. Remember Jean's death wasn't as theatrical in the new series. And I actually don't know if the same thing happens in the novels. I'm also disappointed in the ANN comments, complaining about the incompetence blah3x. Don't they know about real-world incompetence? Maybe they haven't worked in a real company with incompetent managers... -
HGAC Leo Boxart: Reddit I was worried yesterday that I wouldn't get my Leo, it was already on low stock. Now I got the HLJ confirmation yay! Gonna want more, but I need to pace my purchases. And I still don't have an RG Tallgeese. It's gonna be a long month of May ^_^; Also, Vincent van Gouf was really funny.

OK, on to more impressions. I find that I am OK with Jessica's character redesign, she's more beautiful now--though it gives Your Lie In April vibes. Foreshadowing tragedy? Schenkopf, well, he was also OK but he looks way younger. Bucock slimmed down a bit. Frederica on the other hand looks generic? Her younger version was better lol. Anyway, I recognized Sheryl's voice and indeed, Aya Endo is the voice actor. Imagine seeing Frederica and hearing Sheryl Nome hahahaha. So it seems to me that Jessica is the only one with the vastly improved character design. I know I probably should also be looking at the show over-all instead of the character designs but I can't help it I'm not really excited when it comes to Free Planet Alliance scenes. I want the Empire scenes with Reinhard et al. -

Never heard of Liberty before. Are the prices competitive? I admit I've never really been bargain hunting around Aki. I just get tired of all the walking and looking at all the displays! -

Did you stay there by yourself? I've never stayed at a hotel in Japan. I've stayed with friends mostly or used AirBnB. Though one time I did try out a capsule hotel, that was a new experience. As for food, I'm more of a Yoshinoya loyalist. I love gyudon and unagidon. On topic: -

Thanks for that info. I'll add that to list of places to go to once I have enough yen for a Tokyo trip. -
Maybe it was just one tired worker behind this, or newbie. I wonder if there are other complaints from Japanese customers.

I second the external DAC/amp. Had one but it was a cheaper one and ultimately died. But I really liked the sound from it. Right now I have 2 speakers connected to my Linux laptop and it still sounds OK. Not really wanting to delve any more into the DAC/amp rabbit hole (for my wallet's sake). If the external speaker is good the sound will be good (unless if your motherboard has crap sound output). Another thing is the acoustics of your room, it does affect what you hear. If I really wanted great sound the best thing to use is a great headphone (plus DAC/amp). -

A point against Garfield was that he starred in this very boring movie based on a Kazuo Ishiguro novel. Every time I see him I am reminded of that very boring movie. Thankfully it was shown for free and I didn't spend a cent on it, just my time. Also I like Tobey Maguire's Spider-man a lot. As a disclaimer, I don't read the comics though. I also don't like over-use of the nano-suit, it feels like borderline gimmicks. I'll roll my eyes if Cap/BlkWidow/etc also get nano-suits. -

Haha my office mate sent this link too. I didn't wanna go but Thanos was merciless -
I've complained about the moe-ification of the Major in the ARISE series, but this rendition borders on 'gritty' (though not on the level of that dreadful comic of the show-that-shall-not-be-named on the other thread). Unfortunately my local bookstore doesn't give out free comics--just a graphic novel sale. So I'm not getting the chance to get this. Are you getting this comic? If so, let us know what's inside.

My Hikky VF1A arrived today--what a surprise! I thought they were going to deliver next week (I've learned to lower expectations on delivery times). I hope I can take some pics this weekend. It's gonna be a busy weekend for me for sure

I've watched it. Now I know I shouldn't doubt Disney+Marvel. While Ant-Man wasn't flashy, I really liked the parallel father-daughter relationships. It's not all mindless fun. But I'm still not over my Spider-Man fatigue so sorry Tom, not gonna be watching your movies anytime soon. (I think I also have Iron Man fatigue.) -
While I like Steve Rogers/Chris Evans and all his Captain America movies, I'll be more sad if Thor/Chris Hemsworth is killed off. I wanna see more Thor And I'd also like to see an actual Black Widow movie.

I didn't get to see that movie. I used to like Transformers, but after the 3rd live-action movie I was done with the franchise. I have stopped caring about them. I think the impact would be more felt among casual moviegoers-- the ones who have no idea about the comics and the kids. -

He loves Spider-Man. A lot of his shoes from his younger years were Spider-Man branded. But he already watches The Walking Dead so I dunno, maybe he can take it? -
I've read a lot of complaints about Pasay post office, maybe they should complain to gov't hotlines about that? That time I went to the post office, I went when it was an hour before closing time and my experience was ok. Except for the fact that the cashier put a smaller amount on the receipt than what I actually paid to her. ^_^; But it was my first time claiming and the discrepancy was small so I opted to ignore it and go home with my packages instead. One lady though was not so lucky--on the way home she ranted to me that they gave her the runaround regarding her package.
-
Luckily I'm not in Pasay And CDJ, HLJ, and Nippon-yasan have put their invoices on the package for the customs to see. But there was that one time though that they opened my box blatantly (that was Christmas time..) Anyway, the post office from a neighbor city now delivers the package to my house instead. Maybe the EMS hub is now there, I'm not sure but it's really convenient. By comparison my current city's post office seem to be a bunch of lazy folks.

I skipped the first movie because back then I was like, who's Ant-Man?? There's a super-hero called Ant-Man??? Seriously? But now of course I know what he's all about so I'm sure to watch this in the theatre when it comes out.
