It's about where the price should have been expected. I know some were thinking up $50 more than what it ended up, but that was way too high of a price for what's included in the package. Can't wait to get it and glad bandai was feeling reasonable on the price and decided not to make this a web exclusive.

I also think the awkward romance between Hayek and Jackson is just as great as the chemistry between Jackson and Reynolds. The cast is the reason this film succeeds and they are just so much fun.

Max factory made ones for the first film, don't know if bandai got exclusive rights for model kits or if different scales and gimmicks will be split between them

I think the story is weak, but the characters are a serious win that really makes up for anything wrong in the plot and writing department.

I would love a more anime style gp01. I like the katoki, but really want a kawamori.

Can't wait. I still think it's a great surprise to have that ve1 and since it won't take much other than a paint job and a new head and some new packs, hopefully a vt1 will be soon as well. I also wouldn't mind some more enemy mecha before that happens.

When is the ve1 preorder? I am a bit tired of the vf1s, but that and the trainers are some that I would be happy with.

I'm the same on the promaxis. I couldn't find anyone doing a preorder and eBay has a really high mark up. l hope even more items come up in this series.

So is this a standard release? Ether way I really want it.

I love the gerbera tetra kit, all except the feet. They really should have made a bottom piece for them. Even while standing on a flat surface the gaps are visible.

To be honest, I actually like all the CCA suits. I really love those designs.

What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v4.0
Big s replied to wolfx's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Instead of remaking anime that was already good, how about making a good new anime. Not a lot of the newer shows are very interesting. I am still liking knights and magic. It's one of the best non sequel mecha shows recently. Not that there are many mecha anime these days. -
It's one of those issues with anyone reviewing older anime or sci-fi. They always say it's dull or slow, but if you have seen other anime from the time, you'll know what to expect. For an older anime fan it's pretty good.

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets
Big s replied to areaseven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I don't think the lead was a problem. I do think more people would be on board if the overall story was a bit better written and the weak bad guy wasn't so dull. There is also space for the side plot at the beginning to have had more of a payoff, but that may have been planned for a sequel that may not happen now. The advertising could have also been an issue. I still think it's a good movie. Maybe not a great movie, but still good.- 52 replies

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets
Big s replied to areaseven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
My daughter and I saw it earlier and we both really liked it. It's a bit more pretty than story and could have used a bit more of a stronger bad guy to keep things moving. I also would have liked to have seen more of the evil store owner storyline. I do feel that this film deserved more than 17 million at the box office. Luc Beson also said he had plans for a few sequels, but I don't know if that will happen at this point. any way I do recommend it as a fun lite sci-fi summer film.- 52 replies

I'm not sure. I tried to find those a while back, but most places I looked didn't even offer a preorder. I don't know if they have already been released, but I would be interested.

Price is the issue for me. I may only be able to get one set, but I do like that there are 2 in a set.
