I have that kit, but still haven’t built it. And now the real grade is coming up and I’ll probably do that one first. I think it’s an issue of lack of work space that’s been holding me back on a few items.

Rush is definitely sci-fi related. How many soundtracks have they been in and multiple sci-fi based albums. There’s no way 2112 is not sci-fi related. Not only that, but I bet a lot of us model builders out there have built a kit or two with a Rush album playing in the background. The local LA station 95.5 had an all Rush day on Friday and during the weekend are playing at least one Rush song per break in tribute. They’re even playing a few old interviews with Neil the god of precision drumming. He will be missed, but will never fade.

It should probably be in that thread , but who knows. If other things do get released other than robot spirits, then at least Gasaraki has a thread of it’s own.
-
I didn’t think this would fit in the kit section and it may be being done for some type of upcoming rerelease or something. But if it gets more products, I’ll be happy. Gasaraki was one of my favorite anime’s from the 90’s

Out of nowhere Bandai is bringing a new action figure. I couldn’t find a thread for the show, so I figured I’d start one in case other items appear like new kits other action figures or just a rerelease of the series.

I just hope that if their is a pg nu that it won’t have the weird psycho frame parts.

An updated gp-01 that has the proportions of that recent action figure would be welcome in any grade

The last 2 episodes are now free on YouTube, and I like the show. The human animation is a bit strange, but the combat scenes are really great.

I preordered the hg origin gundam after checking out the pictures for it and I’m impressed by the engineering on a simple high grade. There’s even option parts for the canon or standard double beam saber, shoulder and upper chest parts and wrist covers. The thing even has a toe bend and a hidden booster in the back of the calf that looks a bit strange but can be left closed. It also appears to be very color separated with no seam lines on the mobile suit. I’m sure there are seam lines on the weapons, but even the mg kits for some reason usually have those. it is a bit pricey for a high grade, almost twice as much as a Leo, but it may be worth it. I guess I’ll find out soon.

I have a feeling #1 will be an re not mg, 2 may happen at a later year, 3 is likely, 4 could come very soon as web exclusives, and 5 and 6 probably won’t be soon but I would really appreciate them in hg mg or re.

Knowing Bandai, they will milk this gundam anyway they can for variants, add ons and build fighter redesigns. Most will be web exclusive if not all.

I’m not really excited about it, but it doesn’t look as bad as some of the other x men films. I didn’t see the last one and this just seems like a weird finale to the x franchise before Disney does their thing.

Wasn’t young Luke just a farmer that was so bored of his life that he ran away with an old man and a fugitive. Unless they totally try to completely change his character, I can’t see it being an interesting back story. I just think that the franchise is better done with an original character rather than trying to give us a crappy back story that will never make anyone satisfied.

They did do a highly articulated Spawn a long while back. It’s a bit of a floppy mess, but looks cool in certain poses. I think it was for an image comics anniversary. They also did a Medicom one or two, but I didn’t have the cash for them back then. I would like a modern treatment for Spawn as far as articulated action figures. Or maybe a team up with one of the Japanese companies to do a figma, revoltech, or sh figuart release. But that’s probably just dreaming.

I’m getting older and did see that release. The problem is that with frantic fighting games, my hands really lock up after a match or two. I started noticing it with the last Soul Caliber game. I could do well first match against my daughter and her gamer friends, but then my old man hands would lock up or start feeling soar. I can still do games that don’t require super fast movements though. I’m not too old for all games yet.

I really didn’t care for Rogue one that much. I just didn’t like the characters other than k2So- 1438 replies

That’s the franchise I’ve been waiting for. I’ve always wanted great action figures from that series and really can’t wait. Samurai Showdown was an arcade favorite for me and my friends back when arcades were still a thing. I just loved the characters so much.

So as an odd bonus for anyone doing a google search for images of Hathaway’s Flash, there’s plenty of pics of Anne Hathaway exiting a car awkwardly.

My pics would be any of the non transforming HMR releases. Those are my favorites and would fill my top spots and I would have a hard time picking a number one. It would probably be really close but the monster would probably slightly edge out the top spot, followed by a tie between the Regults and Glaug then the spartan and defender. Toys have come a long way in recent years, but sometimes nostalgia plays a big part. There were some really cool items though, but as far as items I would be heartbroken to lose, it’s definitely those macross items. I really hope we get more in the coming years -
There are definitely some interesting kits coming this year. I think the 2 I’m most interested in are the desert zaku and the origin gundam even though we’ve had so many rx 78’s and zaku’s recently. Hopefully we eventually get an updated gelgoog. and after the Hathaway’s Flash trailer, maybe a Messer later this year.

Bandai does that often with gundam stuff as well. It looks great artistically, but makes no sense

The Mandalorian - Star Wars webseries from Jon Favreau

To be honest I like the series better than any prequel, sequel or side story that’s come out. It really is a well done show. Can’t wait for more.- 1438 replies

I saw these kits for preorder the other night and got curious and checked out the first 4 episodes. The last 2 are premium. Seems that aliens sell humans an obsolete piece of machinery cheap to us humans and we take that tech and first start using them for labor the of coarse we eventually arm them for combat. The frame has a mind link with the operator, so the controls are non existent. Each episode is only about 12 minutes and seem more about world building than character development, but the combat scenes are fun. each kit has the basic frame but with additional armor and weapons along with a pilot figure. They’re 1/35 and would probably work really well in modern military dioramas. If my measurements are correct they’re only about 3 inches tall though. I guess there’s also an issue of Hobby Japan that has a kit of the frame as an added bonus.
