  1. Who arr you guys talking about? The only person I see in those pics is Keanu Reeves, no Mark Dacascos. (Fun fact: Dacascos is a vegetarian, so whenever the tasting for each Iron Chef America competition comes along, he only ever eats a couple bites, and rarely finishes more than half a plate.)
  2. Did y'all watch Ghost in the Shell and then get a Mateba? Please tell me you have a Mateba.
  3. Presumably this is the final official trailer, and it's got some VERY good footage: EDIT: 4 days left: https://www.facebook.com/AceCombatAmericas/videos/240393510193150/
  4. Yeah, we tend to forget just how funky all of these iconic designs really were... EDIT: Who designed that Evolve version?I feel like I'd rather just see the O Gundam MB'ed.

  6. You're talking about this, right? (I'm sure there's more, but this always seems to be everyone's go-to.) That's all well and good, except... these aren't those characters. These characters are unique to this movie, despite whatever similarities they may have to past renditions. Spider-Gwen in the comics is in college, for instance (or, well, the Gwen we follow, anyway); here she's in middle school. Her costume is very slightly different; she wears ballet slippers in the movie and Chucks in the comics. During Peter B's intro, there's imagery that evokes the Gwen arc when he mentions that he broke his back, but that's about the extent of it. As far as we know, he never met a Gwen Stacy. For what it's worth, that scene isn't in the movie, and the movie itself doesn't (IIRC anyway) go nearly that far with the chromatic aberration elsewhere. It may have been used to test animation techniques and/or got cut as part of the ~10 minutes of footage that the director mentioned happening.
  7. It's really weird; the first two seasons have great extended fight sequences - the hallway fights. The third season does a better job telling an interesting story, and the irritating characters from the first two seasons are better-written (IIRC), but the fight choreography takes some major steps back. Some punches very obviously did not land, and I wasn't even looking out for them.

  9. Sorry, I meant specifically any future seasons. That said... Ouch. Well, alrighty then. That's gonna be a long two years. Hopefully in that time they'll get better at action scenes; Daredevil season 3 was really good otherwise.
  10. https://screenrant.com/bumblebee-movie-profit-sequel/ "[Paramount parent company] Viacom CEO Bob Bakish hailed the success of Paramount's Bumblebee ... According to Bakish, Bumblebee has been "solidly profitable" in light of what happened with the last film in the series, 2017's Transformers: The Last Knight, which lost $100 million." A sequel now seems more likely than not. Y'know what? I'd be down. I don't want or particularly need one the way some of you might, but I wouldn't mind paying to see it.
  11. They're really going hard for the final push, aren't they? (Couldn't find this on Youtube, so the FB video it is.) EDIT: Link in case video embedding doesn't work: https://www.facebook.com/AceCombatAmericas/posts/1999682993456064
  12. When is it coming out? Not at the same time as Kingdom Hearts, right? Right???
  13. AMD CEO Lisa Su sit-down with reporters. Some interesting tidbits. https://www.pcworld.com/article/3331944/components-processors/lisa-su-on-the-record-amds-ceo-talks-ryzen-vega-ray-tracing-and-lots-more-at-ces.amp.html
  14. Aren't RDs around the 5-6" mark too? 12-15cm... That sounds about right. About the same size as 1/144 kits, maybe smaller, maybe bigger. Edit: gah, hit Post before I was finished. Anyway, is it 3000 yen per figure? If so, I'm not sure how it's supposed to distinguish itself from RD. Price is about the same, size is the same, apparently it will have fewer accessories than RD... Or am I vastly underestimating the price of RD? I want to say they're generally in the 2500-4000 range...
  15. Bit the bullet and just preordered the digital version off PSN. Really wanted to get the Aces at War bundle, but oh well. If the collectors editions are selling for a decent price post-launch, I'll grab one then, but I want me that AC5.
  16. This the one? Just saw it on Youtube.
  17. (EDIT: Sorry if my thoughts seem scattered. It's late and my mind is everywhere.) Just watched Godzilla: The Planet Eater with the big brother. He's not as big a fan of the more out-there sci-fi ideas, so he hasn't been able to finish any of the movies. Unsurprisingly, he didn't enjoy this finale. Me, I found it all as thought-provoking as the previous two films. This trilogy deals in some mind-bending themes, and I'm not quite sure I totally wrapped my mind around them the first go-around, but it was certainly stimulating from start to finish. The movie simplifying civilization down to its technology, and then claiming the resultant destruction from it as inevitable, does also gnaw at my nerves a bit, but not too much.
  18. Ah, I see. I had assumed some such thing MUST have been at least conceptualized for the Raptor by now, if not downright made. I'm gonna have to go back through the other trailers and see if they just reuse it for the other pod designs, too, or if those are unique. I'd imagine if it just clamps onto a hardpoint, it'd be pretty interchangeable. ...or actually, those of you with the know-how, are mounting points the same across the different fighters? Or are there different brackets for putting, say, an AMRAAM on an F-22 versus an F-16?
  19. "Bumblebee is leggiest Transformers ever" Sounds dirty. https://www.forbes.com/sites/scottmendelson/2019/01/09/box-office-bumblebee-tops-100m-and-its-the-leggiest-transformers-ever/amp/
  20. Are those underwing pods based on IRL designs? Or were they invented for the game?
  21. Well, the performance numbers seem to bear it out, too. Now obviously it's not exactly an apples to apples comparison, but the fact that their 14nm(++) chips outperform AMD/TSMC's 12nm chips speaks to the refinement of their manufacturing process. Their chips can still clock higher, still have better IPC, etc. Not by a huge margin, mind, but still it's measurable. If AMD can shrink that margin even more with Zen 2, and all indications point to that being the case, that would REALLY put the screws to Intel.
