Iron Man 2 (Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow!)
Twoducks replied to EXO's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Soooo full of awesome. Can't wait! -
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck EMS. More than two weeks and all the trouble just to get my Yamato Ingram and PG 00. Boy do I hate that shipping method! Now not only do I have to pay customs... I have to go to the midle of nowhere and hope the nice mail man feels like I'm worthy enough to not have to pay some more to use a third party just to fill a retarded form. Hope Santa has lots of coal for the Sapinish post. rant over Now, since my Max 1A is comming in nice SAL, I'll be getting it my doorstep in just two weeks.

Mine has been sitting in the airport a damn week (with no end in sight). Stupid customs.
-
Guys, out of the Max tv valks, which one would you choose?
-
Anybody have a link to G-system stuff that is not from the official site? I'd like to see reviews or how the parts look whitout a god of modeling painting them.
-
I'm between either the 1A Max or the 1J Super Max. What to pick, what to pick...
-
My wallet is starting to really hate HLJ and their constant sales . So, what has more tampo or is a better buy? - Max TV 1A - Max J - A CF - J CF Tomahawk a good buy?

I love the Red Frame design (actually, it's my favourite one from SEED) but IMO the PG is just a waste of the incredibly interactive Strike PG inner frame. No moving parts in the legs (just the normal knee part that today even the HG do) and no extra gimmicks (just the sword... but that is just a prop). Now, I'm sure that in person it looks awesome, heck any Gundam in that size must be impressive. I have a build PG Zeta that I recently bought and it is just magnificent (even with all it's problems and old age)... but the MG blue frame looks like it delivers a lot more. Every Gundam series has its own design philosophy. The SEED one is a bit boring to me now and the 00 is a nice piece of fresh air (but a bit on the plain side). Personally, while I can find elements that I like in each series, my love goes to the Sentinel designs. Big machines that look like shuttles with heads.

Took my PG Strike out from storage a few days ago. Man are those legs a work of engineering art!! I had forgotten how many parts and armor pieces move and shift when posing them. Truly My 00 should arrive next week if customs doesn't shoot it down. At least I got a nice discount and free shipping from HLJ, so if I end up paying import taxes I won't feel so bad.

The All Things Video Games Thread!

Ok, this one made me laugh today: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/debut-tr...cle-march/59623 -
I'd go for the Super HCM-Pro Unicorn. Parts swapping, yes, but looks really nice. http://momoja.blog61.fc2.com/blog-entry-690.html http://momoja.blog61.fc2.com/blog-entry-693.html There's also the mega cheap and non transforming, but still nice, Robot Damashii Unicorn and Destroy.

Finally opened my Beagle/Toynami Rand. Good god, this thing is beautiful! The engineering is FANTASTIC… the way the arm pistons works is pure genius. The cyclone is deliciously complicated and yet very sturdy. Love it. Houquet, I miss you now even more Sadly for my wallet, yes.

Last week I wasn't planning on getting anything Patlabor-ish. Then the F* sales came along and I ended up getting the CM and the Wave.. plus the Yamato in the Black Friday promo HLJ did and I'm also watching the OVAs (so good I plan on watching the TV series) I wasn't thinking about getting the Yamato but the collection dx video review sold me completely; what a gorgeous looking piece of engineering. Anyways, about the CM Brocken. How is that figure. Heard that the CM Patlabor offerings got worse as they went on.

Profile of the nose in fighter mode looks nice.

Damn it, then I'm a traitor! I'm helping the economies of two foreign countries that aren't even in the EU! Better cancel the side Vf-25 and Q-rau and start ordering some paella (it would be cheaper two)!

Yep, the inner frame of the PG 00 isn't on the same ball park as the awesome PG Strike frame; but I guess that is to be expected from the über minimalist 00 designs. Still, I really hope I can beat my laziness and paint the inner frame in a dark grey tone. It makes it stand out a lot better than the plain black: Hope some day they do an EX-S, now THAT would have a kick ass inner frame Two part video review (the raiser loaded up looks huge): The binders wiggle a bit. Hope the connection parts are strong.

Beautifull gallery of the PG 00... FINALLY being posed showing off what it can do with the 0 raiser on!!! http://asayume.gnk.cc/00gallery2/pg00r/pg00r.html A lot of people were thinking that the side binders could not move. I was hopping that something wasn't explained correctly when the rumor started. Well, as the above gallery shows, they do. http://ngeekhiong.blogspot.com/2009/11/pg-...s-gn-drive.html Someone should kick Bandais marketing in the ass for their boring poses. Blue Fram is also on my "to get" list.

Another consumer whore here waiting for a PG 00... and a CM Patlabor, and a Wave Patlabor (damn HLJ offers, I couldn't pick one), and a v2.0 VE-1, and a Metaltech Grandizer and...... expensive x-mas indeed

What Current Anime Series Are You Watching? v2.0
Twoducks replied to Duke Togo's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
What are the best parts of Patlabor? Don't have too much free time so I want to be a bit selective. In all these years I've only seen the movies. Don't know if I should see the fist OVA, the second one or the TV series. -
Another VF-1?????? GOD DAMN IT, do something else!!!

Well, IMO that's mainly because the Gundam 00 designs are meant to look more futuristic than the more industrial looking classic Gundams with all their pistons. The holographic strips do the work of the hydraulics and electronics. Just looks at the GN condensers; you take them away those high-tech looking gadgets and you have huge holes in the frame. Here are some build ups of the PG 00. You can see that there's not a single piston even at that huge scale (though it's filled with the holographic strips); just circular themes and a aseptic/sterile finish. http://plaview.blog76.fc2.com/blog-entry-31.html#more http://blog.goo.ne.jp/ossan-obahan1-2/e/ed...e79748672262447 http://pramo296.blog114.fc2.com/blog-entry-130.html#more The radical new direction that the designs took with there more self contained looking parts is one of the main reasons I like the Gundams form 00 a lot.

So aliens have the technology to travel the stars and yet they study specimens from Earth using methods no better than a biologist shooting a monkey with a tranquilizer gun. Sloopy work Mr. ET If they want to make something more original than a fake re-enactment about drunken Alaskan's fantasies, they should make a movie about animals that have been studied by humans. Turtle: “I hear that there are higher beings experimenting with us”. Sea lion: “Hell yeah. One time I see this light and them ¡BAM! I wake up with this huge antennae strapped to my back. My ass also hurts; they probably shoved something in there too”.
