Looking at the pics again, I think I can say that an armored version would be AWESOME. Hope these sell well.

I like the tiny size. Gonna get them both.

The sensei/voice over guy sounds almost like the Robo Geisha trailer guy. If the movie was narrated in third person by the latter, this movie would be the best in the world. "Ninja is bu-tafull" "Ninja is asss-asinn"

Finding an Asian kid that can act and do martial arts at the same time shouldn't be a problem. Actually, it should be f* simple. People think "acting" is such a complicated thing. I've done it professionally in theatre for a bit and know too many people that live (or try to live) of it. It ain't a special gift, trust me. That said, I loved the animated series. Thought about starting a thread here about it lots of times.

Ok, after seeing this video I take back what I’ve said about the PG 00. Those are some fine gimmicks. The GN drive condenser aren’t there to look pretty, they lock the position of the joints. That’s 8 joints that can hold their pose, even when some heavy weight is applied. The head following the arm movement gimmick also looks great. That's what I think too, but aesthetically it makes the fighter loose points IMO since it's so integrated into the fuselage. Comes off smaller than it is, just look at the big canopy in the proto compared to the painted version. The canopy YF-21, while mostly covered, is more differentiated by the colors and patern used.

Which makes me want to kick Kawamori in the arse for designing such an obscured cockpit canopy in the first place. Makes the 27 look like a drone.

So, is the CM Fuke that bad? I have the Toynami/Beagle Scott and Rand (haven’t gotten to actually opening them… don’t yell at me ) but since the Beagle Fuke is dead, I've been meaning to buy the CM for a time. Jenius’s review has stopped me so far. But I do have the CM Stick and I must say I really enjoy how he looks. Yes, the damn thing is frustrating to handle but once posed, it looks great.

Stinking "lights&sounds" wins again... I know these things are for kids but when I was one, the whole L&S things gimmicks did very little for me. And really, the Leader figures just blink and spit a vehicle sound and what could be an introduction to an AA speech. Weak. Take the gimmick away, put it in a special holding base or in another thing (like the back packs the G2 toys had) and give it lots of sounds and voice clips. THEN you would have room to make a better engineered toy, give better kiddie gimmicks and have an excuse to charge 10 box more.

I'm liking the DX 27 more than the model kit. Curiously, the 27 model looks like it’s too slim and long on the lower torso, just the thing that makes the 25 kit look so good IMO. And it also does look like there is a lower leg swivel. Boy do I miss that on the 25.

Looks good from above… Good God, the voyager jet mode is a freaking lot better than that thing!! The high awesome meter mark robot mode scored just got watered down a lot.

I think more of Ferngully when I see this (trees, colors, yellow omega-bulldozer...). Yep, second trailer makes me want to see the movie. It also practically tells you everything that happens in it down to what sides all the charaters take in the conflict. Simple story but visuals look like they are worth the movie ticked. And 3D, so I'm in.

That's why I said "achieved by questionable means". A bunch of parallel processors human race is still a "united human race" The way they did it in MF was hyper rushed. - EP 1-12: Bugs are evil. - EP 13-23: Muahaha, Grace is evil and blows planet. Bugs and Frontier, kill each other (like in the last 12 episodes but cooler looking) Muahaha. - Last 2 episodes: "Well, actually we want to make a Real Time Galactic Interwebs. It also means there has to be a central Webserver manned by us... Muahaha". That said, I did enjoy MF. But it isn't the best thing I've seen by far.

The part that sucked about Frontier was the antagonists. Bugs... WOW. And then you had the sinister, ultra shadowy, über evil, one dimensional Galaxy people... double WOW!! Hope they do play the Galaxy part of the story. Seriously, a villain is a lot more interesting if his goals can be seen as “good” but achieved by questionable means. With Galaxy we only got to see the whole “unite the human race” almost at the very end of the series. Wish they would take away the moe loli crap but I fear this franchise is going to clinch to it even more in the future.

Well, those that were saving the money can now buy the two Wave versions (to keep one in each mode) and have left over for some 1/60's. This is what happens when you go DYRL? instead of SDFM. The movie SDF-1 models can never satisfy but everyone loves the TV brick. Those fly swatters are jinxed.

This reminds me... have to go to my brother's house and pick mine up and then find a way to sneak it under the wife's radar... which sounds just not worth it seing your commentaries about the piece Eugimon. I'm kinda getting sick of the 25 in all it's forms (damn Bandai and there oversaturating). And if the armored DX is a pain in the ass to move around I'll just don't know. Maybe I could glue it. Got tempted again by the model kit (have the plain Ozma and I find it great) but for the armored version I just see lots and lots of extra parts to hold the damn thing in each mode . The 27 looks like it gets around the Urcle pants thanks the bell bottom design. The huge dong is still there. Wish the include an efects piece for the gun like they do in the model kit.

Last week the wife and I went to a Transformer toy exposition (not that she wanted to ). Really amazing stuff since they had toy of EVERY line (some 1500 TF toys in all they said). I quote VFTF1 because, apart from the usual wife rant "god, those things are ugly", she pointed out that a lot looked the same. I told her that basically they are all reinterpretations of the same characters. Her look changed to "now that is cheap" and commented on the little imagination they had. Now that is just her opinion, not mine, but I just wanted to share what a person who knows squat of TF thinks of the constant reinterpretations. BTW, the ones she hated the most were the Alt-Binaltech ones; said robots with pieces of cars stuck together looked wrong . Other than that, seeing all the G1 bricks was really nice (not just the ones I had as a kid). And I must say that these little bricks look really cute in person. I also enjoyed seeing the evolution of the various lines down to the current one.

The "arm converts to missile launcher" bit looks more like "missile launcher plugs into folded claw". The hidden weapons do look cool Need more jet pics but thus far that one sure sucks. Robot is still awesome (even more with the tatoos).

The downsized scope is a very nice plus that the figure needs. Though if people say MP Megs is a pain in the ass to transform, a mini ko sounds like it would surely break.
