  1. They are only on sale in Japan in the first place. Now how many of those went overseas through the online stores we may never know. Somehow I don't think the production and DVD companies care that much to go into that much detail, just the overall numbers to make themselves look good.
  2. Don't know what you're talking about. Is that some fan made film? Must be right? Has to be. No it does not exist. You can't make me believe it exists. Lies! ...heh.. So far I've been fortunate enough that I've yet to run into a copy of said *thing*. Probably because I rarely go into DVD stores. Since I haven't seen it, I can keep pretending/believing.
  3. I'm literally holding out and keeping my fingers cross that they will release the Ozma & Alto Customs in a Super/Armored bundle. Ozma's just doesn't look complete without the full armor configuration and Alto's are pretty much sold out even in it's normal config anyway, so might as well get it with the Super Pack.
  4. Seriously, these randomness of the pieces are one of the main reasons I still have boxes still shrink wrapped. And I don't think I'll ever open them, the disappointment will kill me since some of the stuff are no longer available.
  5. Ah... I'll just come straight out with it. NewType USA is dead buddy. Has been for a while.
  6. Wait, what are the Bridge Bunnies fighting over? And the Captain in Ranka's promotional swimsuit costume & sash... heh. Canaria in Ranka's civis pretty cool to boot. Looks like I'll be picking up this issue of NewType as well.
  7. Makes more sense. After all how else could a company make money from that pack if it is to the public. I mean who has that type of money to shell out these days? Not many. But... we don't want a "good girl".... Do we now?
  8. I'm actually still trying to wrap my head around the price. Just how the heck does everything in there end up being more than 70,000 yen? Does it come with a fully functioning EX-Gear or something?
  9. Don't tease me.... I actually would consider it in a heartbeat, if it weren't for the bad exchange rate at the moment and the dreaded customs tax... I'm insane that way. Probably explains why some of my friends insist on follow me around last time I went shopping in Akiba.
  10. A small one from ep 25: Just before Battle Frontier snapped Galaxy in two like a twig, you could see and hear it taking multiple hits from Frontier's batteries, literally shelling it to hell before the coup de grace.
  11. Hell, good enough for me. I'll be picking them up once my local Japanese bookstore brings them in since I know they actually carry those mags. I do understand your problem though, I have a very small room and I've run out of room already like, at the start of this year? It's a combination of this and the currency rate atm that's the very reason I haven't ordered the Bandai's VF-25s. And I know atleast one of my friends that has had to cancel his orders for his too for the same reason.
  12. Yep, just like in the TAF though she only just sang the one song "Don't be late" mainly since it was the only one that the public knew about from the preview Deculture episode. Did she invite people to join in the chorus before hand or was it a spontaneous reaction? In TAF she invited the crowd to join in a brief talk before her performance. We were only a small crowd (by necessity since the performance was at the Satelight booth but large enough to kill off traffic at all four intersections and staff had to come in to direct traffic), but I was pretty sure the chorus of "MOTTEKE!!" could be heard from any point of that busy noisy hall at Big Sight. Yeah she's got a great voice and great stage personality which was why it was as great as it was. I would have liked to have been there at AFA and get 7 songs to my TAF one, and could have, air fares to Singapore being pretty cheap these days but you know, work and stuff. :sad face: Glad you all have fun there though, I knew you all would. Was there any official presence of Frontier at AFA other than May'N? Maybe by Bandai or otherwise? Also, a little off topic, any "Kara no Kyoukai: The Garden of Sinners" stuff on display at the Animax booth?
  13. I can only hope that my local Japanese bookstore will carry the issues. It's just unsure if they will with the exchange rate so bad right now that if it's worth their effort.
  14. I used the all purpose VLC media player. I think the problem is with the file when extracted. It's supposed to be 12,435 KBs extracted but it's only showing up as 12,144. The missing bits are screwing it up I think.
  15. I'm having problem playing the Northern Cross Live file. Am I the only one? The rest plays just fine. And thanks as well from me ntsan
  16. And until then you can enjoy Mikimoto's work in Tytania ...it's not really all that good of a show. It's like Legend of Galatic Heroes, only with more focus on the fine art of tea drinking. You know, boring... But the production does have Noburo Ishiguro as it's director and Kazutaka Miyatake as one of the mechanical designer. All part of the original SDF Macross production team.
  17. Yeah, got taken down. I never got to see them myself.
  18. http://blog.livedoor.jp/geek/archives/50758631.html Now you too can have your own HOTAS control.
  19. If Gurren Lagaan can have a theatrical release Macross definately wil due to it's success. Why just make money from the DVD/BDs when you can also make it in the box office? As for the added mecha action, I could see that. There were a few sequences that I thought could do with some added shine, like Luca's Ghosts engagement for instance.
  20. Now are you talking about the canned bread or *the other thing* related to vending machines?
  21. Say what you want about it but you know you'd buy the thing the first chance you get. I certainly would for the novelty value. Just like I did for the cream puffs, even going as far as to hunt the damn things down since not all the Family Mart stores carry them.
  22. I have a friend who's been living there for 8 years now and he certainly never seen one of those vending machine. Part of the reason I believe is because there was a law passed against it some time ago. It was beginning to become a problem so the govt stepped in, that's what I heard anyway.
  23. If that is the release date on there, that's pretty sudden. That's like less than two months away. So far only that yahoo link has any listings for the CD I could find online.
  24. Personally I'm still waiting for History of the World: Part 2. I mean, who doesn't want to see Hitler on ice?
  25. My first console was a Saturn and that was directly because of the DYRL shoot 'em up, thanks to a commercial I saw while I was watching another anime. I never own a console before then as I could never justify the cost and space for one until I heard Minmei voice in the ad saying "Oboete..imasuka?". I promptly snapped and tracked down a copy of the game and a console from a friend. Now strangely enough I've never owned a PS but I actually own copies of the VFX series as well as the SDFM game for the PS2. I merely borrow my friend's console whenever he wasn't using it. I played M3 once and I personally hated it due to the fact that I ended up fighting the controls and the game itself rather than playing it. The whole thing just felt weird in the end.
