    Well, this was an American film and I suspect most Americans including those in Hollywood believe our immigration laws are more strict than other nation's when its almost the complete opposite. During my visit to New Zealand in 2011 I read a heart breaking local story about a Cambodian couple that was used as slave labor for a baker for five years and after they had enough abuse they went to the authorities. In the end they were deported back to Cambodia and the baker was fined. Pretty F'ed up. Didn't mean to derail the thread but thought it was in interesting story to share.

    I saw the entire trailer but I get your point. If I'm already sold on a film I want to see then I don't need or want to view any more trailers that can contain spoilers.

    It'd be nice if DisneyXD brought back Tron: Uprising. That was the best animated series ever developed outside Japan.

    Since I know none of you guys outside this forum I'll let you on a little secret. My wife and I are expecting our first baby in about two months and we already picked her name... it's Lucy! So whenever we see this trailer on TV we giggle We picked the name months ago as a play on words of Star Wars character names. 'Lucy' Skywalker for example

    I think it would help HG's community if they updated their site. It's looked the same for over 10 years! Not a HG hate post, just a thought.

    When I first saw the Clone Wars trailer I was excited and when I watch this Rebels trailer I am not. Oh I have a bad feeling about this.

    The Robotech updates are more of continuation of the Mospeada anime. As cool as Mospeada looked I'm surprised it didn't have a new series or spin-offs that Macross had in Japan.

    I think they're trying for the Ralph Mcquarrie look a little too hard. I thought they finally had the ship/vehicle designs just right in Revenge of the Sith.

    While I'm re-watching Attack on Titan I'm thinking about how awesome it would look if it was live action using a Hollywood budget. I bet it'd be bigger than The Hunger Games! Yes, I know the Japanese are working on a live action film on their so based on that information my expectations are low

    I seriously doubt there are those that hate Macross like you imply, they probably just don't like the purist elitism It's possible to be both a Macross and a Robotech fan at the same time. Though I love Robotech's story more than Macross's I still appreciate the latter that I enjoy it's sequels and spin-offs all the same. I guess it's like comparing the old Japanese Godzilla films to the new America film released this year. Some people will always want the man in the suit but there are others who want more than that.

    The prices vary on size and quality of the frames and protective glass. Total for both frames was $320. It was high as I ordered quality wood framing and special glass to filter damaging light rays. It was pricey but worth it!

    Thank you, had the framing done at Michaels. Wasn't cheap but it was worth it I also had the below original art by Playboy cartoonist Doug Sneyd framed as well. On the left is the original pencil sketch and on the right is the published copy from the October 2006 issue. It's hanging in the same room as Batman. If you have a cel or any hand drawn art you really like I recommend framing and hanging it in your place to show it off.

    Batman: The Original Series animation cel that I just had reframed and is hanging in my downstairs den. Had this one for over twenty years and its my only cel.

    Sadly I agree with you on your statement. Mature (teen) animated series, especially the ones I love, barely last a season or two on the networks. I saw this happen to Tron: Uprising and the Thundercats reboot. I hope that Netflix or Hulu may take interest in a Robotech series.

    Edit : I love how those Argentinean fans behind the Robotech: Valkyrie project will be doing the CG for Robotech Academy. To me this is very cool and I'm sure they're excited for it too.

    Looks great! I probably won't get to see it in the theater due to lack of time as we're expecting our first child this Fall but when she gets older I'll have an excuse to see these movies

    90% now I did share the KS link on Facebook though none of my friend's that I know who are Robotech fans responded if they donated or not

    I wonder how some of the folk would feel if Carl Macek was still alive and was involved with this project? Would it make a difference in your attitude towards? Even though I donated to the KS it'd make me feel more confident honestly. Still, I donated to other things in the past that I felt passionately about such as charities and political campaigns but never expected a return on. This KS could be Robotech's last hurrah, especially if it fails. Some may be OK with that, not me.

    I didn't watch the Netflix subtitled version, only dubbed. The subtitled version I saw was online and it was done well IMO.

    They could of been better. Shadow Chronicles had lots of potential but HG listens to the fans and that matters to me. I know Robotech is the Frankenstein monster of the anime community but I love Macek's vision for it. I had the opportunity of meeting him when I was about 12 in 1986, damn I'm old , and I think there is potential. If I'm wrong then its only $30 lost, I can live with that.
