  1. I got Wave 1/72 Legioss kit incoming next week, has anyone here build one of those kits? Also still undecided if I should build the 1/12 Imai Iron kit as Stick or Rey, any preferences? Got 6 kits in total incoming including the Max Factory 1/72 Dougram kit.
  2. I am happy with the 1/72 plastic models, currently got 3 regults being build into scout and attilery versions. Not really into toys/collectibles.
  3. Same here lover of all Destroids and Zentraedi mecha.
  4. HLJ can only take preorders when their distributors offer them. Distributor usually tells them the Max numbers of orders they can take, hence the order stops on popular items.
  5. J does not mean build in Japan but modified to Japanese spec. F = Fighter E = Electronic/Counter Measure D = Double Seater/Trainer S = Strike Fighter B = Bomber R = Reconnaissance A = Attack Role Can't recall V but think for Visual. Not sure how strict Macross follows the worldwide codes.
  6. It is not popular in Japan, partly because of Syd Meads designs. None of the anime's he worked in were a hit.
  7. Doubt we will see a Turn A considering how badly the series flopped, they also had a hard time selling the kits. In for the RG Exia.
  8. Watching ガイストクラッシャー, some interesting ideas in that one also reminds me partially of Saint Seyia. Looks as bit more interesting than Monsoono.
  9. SAL takes between 2 weeks and 2 month. SAL are used as container fillers, so bigger parcels might take longer before they can be fitted in.
  10. If he doesn't want to pay so be it. Old anime I am watching borrowed the LD from a friend, also building the Bandai vinyl kit of the lead mecha? It is "Starship Troopers" and is the best adaptation from the book. I also got the Studio Nue kits from Wave and Kaiyodo. Not much anime in this season I like, Tokyo Ravens is OK on MX-TV, Gundam is sinking lower for me with each new series. Today I am having supper with an illustrator who also works on Vanguard TCG.
  11. Most Japanese companies make their announcements at shows and evens, online and in monthly publications. Hobby Japan and others are owned by Bandai.
  12. I topcoat my wargaming minis with the same topcoat as used on motor vehicles, very tough and they get a LOT of handling. Modellers(Japan) also repackaged it.
  13. Not sure about from where the clip is YouTube didn't say. Today a few friends will be over for Anime night. Going to be watching LD of Angel's Egg, Aura Battler Dunbine and Dallos. I really like Dallos but English dub is horrible and they cut a 1/4 from it.
  14. One problem with Gundam is that you get UC(original story) and AC(Alternate) storylines. Having grown up with the original Gundam Series I am not too much interested in the AC series. Gundam Wing I prefer Endless Waltz, can't stand ZZ, V Gundam, Gundam G, Turn A, Seed, 00, Build Fighter, etc. Unicorn is OK. Love the MSV suits.
  15. MS-08th OVA is my recommendation and original series.
  16. Yes, flight is a common topic in his movies. Hayao was always intrigued with it as his family owned a shop that made wingtips for Zero fighters.
  17. D-Style kits are colour-molded but still require a bit of painting. Pre-ordered 2 of the Scope dogs. Will go well with my D-Style Zoids and Patlabor kits.
  18. Did some of those new series kits and if felt like doing LBX kits, very modular and boring. Same with the anime do a few swaps and you will get Zexal, Yu-Gi-Oh, Danball Senki or similar. Think storyline will also follow first everyone will need to team up to fight a common, later Liens or protection of our universe. I did enjoy the 1st Bearguy kit though but the Gundam Build kits are too little for their offices, will stick with RG kits.
  19. VF-1D VE-1 Elintseeker VF-11 MAXL Kai Said that more of a destroid and enemy mecha fan.
