Things working that shouldn't have been working was a theme in this movie. The bounty hunter's ship, stuff on the death star, the X wing, even the star destroyers that were stored underwater was all questionable.... so the thought seems to be that corrosion does not exist a long long time ago in a galaxy far far away.

While my 0D leg did pop off, there were very few other people that reported the same problem. The 0A on the other hand, that had lots of leg issues causing Arcadia to take notice. I'm hoping the result of the SV-51 debacle is just delays in their plans and nothing more serious.

We're in the start of the new year cycle so things should be quiet for a bit anyway.

Yeah, a very conflicted boy wrestling with internal demons. It could also be triggered by something Leia did.

Inflatable legs!

To order directly you need a Japanese issued credit card from what I understand.

That was exactly the picture I was looking for. You really did get them jammed in pretty high! In an ideal world they'd sit flush, like they do on the Yamato 1/60 V2, but that agrees to the instructions and once I have mine pretty close to that level the legs stopped drooping off. The arms also aren't quite flush but oh well.

Hey Sqidd, when you look at the pegs that go down from the back into the leg armors, is there much of a gap there or is the peg almost (or completely) within the armor? Since it is a slip fit, I may just need to muscle the thing up higher than I felt comfortable doing initially. Right now I have a bit of a gap there. EDIT - I looked closer at the picture in the instructions and my gap did look a little bigger than the one they showed. I wiggle/jiggled and pushed and got my leg a little higher and now the toy can be handled without the leg dropping off. It took a lot of effort to get it there so I have some long-term concerns about how tight that connection will stay but at least the thing is playable now.

I'll test it out on my other two tonight but so far, fighter mode is getting a big thumbs down from me. Hopefully I'll figure out a trick. I imagine the old nail polish truck would also work but would need frequent reapplication.

Without the strike parts on the legs also peg into the backpack which helps the whole system to work. When you fold the backpack over you lose that connection point and things just... don't work. What a shame. They added a lip to the nosecone peg... maybe they'll add lips to the other pegs too for the next run.

It's the arms sliding off the pegs on the body of the toy and drooping down. The arm armors don't add much weight but that connection is just precarious enough without armors that the system fails apart with them. Both the leg and arms should have a notch on their connections pegs. The arms slide so they should slide right into a notch. The legs pivot at the knee so a notch would work there too. The vertical peg is nonsense.

I think I must be doing something wrong.... I am not a fan of the DX Strike parts in fighter mode at all. The feet are the heftiest part of the toy. When I put the strike parts on, the legs both pop off their pegs with any sort of shake. The arms go right along with them. I had these on in battroid and loved them but wow, I expected a lot more from how it would all come together in fighter mode. Anyone have a tip on something I might be missing? I love the comically shallow peg that goes from the leg armor to the arm... like that does anything at all and even if it did, the arms are attached in the worst way possible to the back. What a head scratcher.

Ha, now I see i labeled it "Yamato 1/60 version 2 Premium Finish" instead of Arcadia.... I always botch something! Glad you guys are digging the pic and the review anyway.

Treads are big in Robotech, the MOSPEADA dimensions are actually just a bit larger than a Legioss.

While I love the idea of a LowVis, the original Yamato scheme sold poorly and still doesn't sell all that well in the secondary market.

I think the dyad is a thing for the same reason Luke dies. If Jedi could do these things without something special then basically no plot would ever make sense. Kylo and Rey need to be more than normal force users because if any pair of Jedi can do these things then so many past events should have never happened. If any Jedi could project themselves and interact with folks then they would never have flown to Naboo in the first place. So, to keep every previous plot a plausible, Luke dies and Kylo and Rey have a special force bond that only comes around every few thousand years.

I don't think the dyad dynamic and having their moments together are the same thing. Their moments together, like a little force bridge, was something Snoke did. What Snoke didn't know when he did that is that the two were already linked by being a dyad, so the bridge connected them in a way that exceeded what Snoke or Palpatine believed possible.

1) I thought that the ones blowing up elsewhere were just because people were fighting back. I think your "which way is up" understanding is correct for the ones nearest the fighting. Basically, after the climax evil is beaten and good guys around the universe drive it back further. 2) The force healing thing is giving your energy to heal so you have to die to bring back a dead person. Luke had to die because if Jedi could do that like no plots ever work that involve Jedi, it has to be a fatal effort. Leia had to die because Carrie Fisher died :). Anakin died when he killed Palpatine. Ben died to guide Luke. It's just the thing to do! 3) It was so dumb... so so dumb. 4) I think this goes to the whole "force diad" thing. They have a special connection. It's all macguffin-tastic but yeah. 5) The going theory there is that only on that one planet, that nexus of the force planet, are force ghosts so powerful they can materialize and bonk people or grab things. 6) Were they all really set to self destruct? I don't remember it very well. I thought after he died and the good guys knocked down the antenna they were able to just go around blowing the bad guys up. Guess it's real fortunate the good guys ships aren't as messed up by the planet as the bad guy ships? 7) Agreed. Also hated the creepy Lando ending and that Lando could pull together an army when Princess Leia couldn't even get a "No, we're busy right now." Also hated that technology, no matter how out of use, works perfectly fine in the SW universe. Wouldn't that bounty hunters space ship have been scavenged or out of fuel or something? 8 I think we're supposed to assume that the people of that planet are somewhat plentiful despite how awful it seemed and that they build Star Destroyers like ancient Egyptians built pyramids. Maybe after they build them they dock them underwater to keep the whole planet on the down low. I think SW has moved to go as far toward fantasy as it can. A little realism is confusing because there's so much SW that just doesn't work in real life. So, prequels and sequels have erred on the fantastic 'anything can happen in this magic future' rather than trying to simulate the physics of the world we know.

Exactly what I was thinking. You don't need to know about the knights as they never became relevant.

In all likelihood, Sentinel bought a design from a design firm. The design firm calculated anticipated stress on each point and recommended materials. In this case, the part is breaking because it is subject to an unanticipated stress. There are no hidden agendas here or expectations of failure, it's just an unfortunate occurrence that hopefully can be remedied on future toys now that the failure is known.

People loved the 1/48 parts when they were released and they took 10 years to yellow. The reaction missiles were always a pain but at least they came in the box!

Like the giant gun, I like the giant strike cannons.
