I'm an Orguss fan but boy... there's Orgroid and then there's "other random shapes".

For the others, Bandai figured they might get reissued without the stand, so it made sense to do standalone packaging. For this, they know they will never reissue it.

Thanks everyone! I'm looking forward to it. I just have to finish a basement and do a bunch of painting and then I can get my life back to normal.

Hmm, sounds like I'll need to start doing reviews again. Hopefully just a month or so away at this point.

There are also variations of the cannon colors.

Bandai would invite you to buy their upcoming reissue to see if that works out better for you :D.

I feel like having guns makes the size argument a lot less valid. If the smaller enemy were more numerous with guns, it feels like that's still a problem. It's like killer bees... With guns.

Oh, look at that, it wasn't in the hall of the super topics at all. Duh. Thanks for the assist!

My searching ability is apparently not very good. I see a DV VF-25 Version 2 thread in the hall of the super topics but there had to be other VF-25 Renewal threads since then. Anyone know where I can locate them? I'm trying to figure out if Bandai made any changes between the first Alto release in 2011 and the 'final' reissue in 2014.

Does it transform? It looks like it would make a better ATV than a bike... except for the two wheels thing.

Sorry about the first few releases, we made some improvements. Please buy them again! Thank you.

I think blemishes like those are pretty standard for the era. Processes were a lot more manual and tolerances were more varied. All things considered, it looks great.

I agree with that logic, it seems like market forces need to prevail. With a huge drop in demand and the industry that caused the spike potentially dead, we should see prices get more reasonable next year. It's like the housing market, it will take six months, but a correction is the only thing that makes sense. -
The Witcher: Blood Origin on Netflix
jenius replied to jvmacross's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I saw it. I don't know Witcher canon so I'm not offended by any deviations. My only complaint would be that the story was very linear with no surprises... Everything you suspected played out exactly as you suspected, and not just in the "of course, it's a prequel" sort of way. Still, it was fun with good action.- 7 replies

The computer and electronics super geek thread

So Murphy's law got me. The rtx 3050 arrived today but I decided I would try to update the vbios but first I checked for a bios update and there was one. So, bios updated (not vbios), I decided to run one last test and also upped the voltage to the card and wouldn't you know it, everything was stable. I played Trailmakers for 20 minutes without a single hang. I did the benchmark that always failed during the second effort four times. Not true stress testing yet but it seems I may have extended the life of my 1060 a bit longer. Now to decide if I should return the 3050... -

I certainly did everything I could with drivers but I did not update the vbios.. huh, I'll give that a go. This will be my first time doing that. -
So are they going to finish the story line or is this going to end without resolution and not get renewed for another season? Was it the end of episode 1 or the beginning of episode 2 where they're walking through a deserted village that starts shaking and it seems like something evil is going to happen... and then the next scene they're out of the village and they never refer to it again? It's the same episode where they're camping on the way to the only convenient way through the barrier and Dove, who has no horse or anything, walks off, and somehow passes the group without being seen, and walks through the magic barrier and doesn't think anything of it. I think there's even a gorge she miraculously gets around but it is not alluded to. The editing is just awful. Boorman is the only good character so far. Willow and his friend aren't awful... the rest make me cringe more often than not. The Graydon has a crush on Dove thing? They're on a quest to save her boyfriend with his fiance. If they wanted to make it clear he had something for her and make you wonder what would come of it, that could be fun... but instead it's all ham-fisted and awkward. Also, why give up on the humor and drama that could come from his being betrothed to Kit? That was immediately discarded. The Bonereavers suddenly being good guys? They joke about making people into hats but then it's like "nah, we're all family!" There could have been true humor AND drama if it was handled with the Bonereavers still being absolutely savage and the gang having to take advantage of the family tie to escape somehow. I'm going to watch Witcher Blood Origin for a bit which I hear has terrible reviews but I'm guessing it's going to feel a lot more polished than this.

I really wanted to build a new computer this year but I'm still finishing up my house... gotta have priorities. My son did have an issue with his (actually my wife's) ITX computer that made me go get a graphics card. He loves Trailmakers but it would freeze all the time and the music would keep playing. The error log showed a directx issue where it was failing to generate a buffer. I ran Furmark and surprisingly, no issues after 30 minutes. I ran a benchmark test and usually around 10 minutes of I would get a "device hung" error. I ran a bunch of diagnostics and couldn't find any other obvious culprits. Tomorrow, I'm yanking the 1060 and swapping in a 3050 with fingers crossed. Gotta track down an 8 pin power cable though...
